I have seven grandchildren and they all get an llbean backpack when they start school. The oldest is 24 and had an llbean backpack right through college. They are durable, attractive and well worth the money.

llbean book bag is very durable and children like them.

Our 5 year old entered kindergarten this fall - this backpack was the perfect size- most of the ones in the big box stores were either too small or way too large. The quality of the bag is excellent as well. It was perfect. The monogram was a nice touch as well.

We ordered the junior pack for our 6 going on 7 year old as her first backpack. It is a great size for her average frame and it is just as well made as the other Bean book bags; it will definitely last until she outgrows it in a few years. It was important to me to get a bag that didn't dwarf her but that would allow enough space for her 3 ring binder and lunch bag. This fits the bill nicely. The outer bottle pocket is a great addition!

Ordered the junior backpack to use as a diaper bag/overnight bag for my infant son. Excited about the quality of this backpack as he will be able to use it when he is older. The monogram print of his name (silver thread) is the perfect size in comparison to the backpack.

LL Bean really lives up to their reputation, this back pack is wonderful. I bought it for my six year old daughter, its been in the rain, thrown all over the place, zipped, unzipped, it's great and she loves the flowers:)

I got this bag for my daughter who started kindergarten this year. She is on the petite side and so this bag works great for her! There is plenty of room for her to grow into the bag, it is sturdy and she loves it!

Good fit for my 3 1/2 and 6 year olds. They are the right size, and still have decent storage. The last back pack we bought was three years ago for my teen and still looks new.

Having purchased LLBean backpacks for my kids that lasted well over a decade, I knew I would continue the tradition with my grandchildren. The backpack is appropriately sized for little ones. In the attached picture Adam is 5.75 years of age and this hits all the right marks for a young body. He was so happy with the backpack as he loves his dinosaurs and was quick to identify them as soon as he opened the package.

The print is lovely, the size perfect for little ones. Pockets & straps are perfect fits. Would buy many if I needed them!

My only complaint about this backpack is there are not more patterns for boys available...I have two grandsons and so backpacks need to be different so more boy options please!!

Got this backpack for my son who was just transferred to the toddler room. It's the perfect size for him and super cute.

We love this backpack. It is big enough to fit a standard size folder for transporting school papers, a matching LLBean lunch bag, change of clothes, a hat, and a large snack bag. It is the perfect size for a kindergartener. I used the larger, regular size book pack (which is great, too!) for my other child for kindergarten, however, because we used to live in a snowy climate where the children need to be able to take snow boots, snow pants, lunch, snack, and a folder back and forth in the backpack. Living in a warmer climate we no longer need to pack snow gear so this size backpack is perfect. I know this one will last a long time. The water pouch is sturdy and easy to use, the zippers work great, and the reflectors are a great touch. This backpack is high quality and the perfect size for what we need. Very happy with this purchase.
