Our granddaughter was finally getting to go to Kindergarten in person, and she really wanted a new big girl backpack. I was delighted to find a range of attractive prints on a backpack sized for her. And of course I knew we could count on L.L. Bean for a well-designed, well-made backpack which will serve her not only for the rest of Kindergarten but for at least the next full school year. We gave her the backpack for her March birthday, and she is delighted.

It's a nice quality pack with plenty of pockets and space for kid-sized items. We got the outer space pattern, and it's super cute for our little guy!

I got this for my 2 year old Granddaughter for Christmas with her name on it. UPS lost it so it never came. However Called LL Bean and they made it right and shipped it out with monogramming of name and arrival in a few days. I am Super impressed by fast action on remaking and fast delivery! I have shopped with LL Bean since 1987 they are always more than fair with issues and their product are outstanding. Ive purchased book bags from them for my children and they held up wonderfully. Now I am purchasing for the next generation to enjoy! Great Quality! Love the print for a Girl!

I bought two of these and they are such a hit with the kids and the Moms! The 2 year old won't take it off her back!! I got her the Purple daisy one. And her little brother is too little to walk yet but he loves dinosaurs already so it's all good!!! Last year I got my two nephews the shark one and they don't go anywhere without them! One is 5 one is 3. LL Bean back packs for the kids are the best gift! No worry about size!! I've bought many through the years.

I got the Dahlia Purple Lazy Daisy for my 5yo and she absolutely loves it. Perfect size for a kindergartner. She only consistently carries a couple of folders and her lunch box for now, but it could fit a few additional items if needed (her shoes fit in the middle pocket on a snowy day). I think that it will hold up as well as the Deluxe Book Pack, which her older siblings have had theirs for 4 and 2 years and they've held up very well.

This backpack is a great size for a kindergarten kid! It fits regular size folders, her lunchbox and still has room. Plus, it has a water bottle pocket. After reading the descriptions between the "Original Book Pack" and the "Junior Original Book Pack" I ordered the Original thinking it would be the correct size. It was WAY too big and I had to return it. The Why We Love It description for the Junior is a bit misleading and makes it sound like the Junior will be more of a toddler size backpack. It is not. The Junior Book Pack fits regular sized folders, notebooks, etc. On a recent flight our daughter's iPad that sits inside a break-proof case (which makes it 2-3 inches larger than the actual iPad) fit just fine with room to spare. If you have a kindergartner or even 1st grader - the Junior Original Book Pack is the size to order.

LL Bean backpacks got me through high school, college, and my early adult years. And now my preschooler is carrying on the family tradition. It's a little big for her now, but will certainly last for several years as she grows into it. Great quality, adorable pattern. She is happy because it's cute, and I love that it will last forever.

This backpack is so cute. Very high quality materials. My son is 3 and it fits him well and should for a few years. He loves dinosaurs and this pack is just perfect for him.

We love this bookbag. It is perfect for my 5 year old son to carry folders, a Chromebook, charger, and headphones to school every day. The padded straps make it more comfortable for him too. He loves the dinosaur print!

Because the two items both were sent to the same address- the Original Book Pack Jr.II in the carbon dinosaur print with his name monogrammed on it as well as the Deluxe Book Pack IV print in dark,mulberry chevron, was a hit with my 8 year old great granddaughter!! This was also monogrammed with her name on it.Great packs they will get plenty of use!!

Our two daughters thankfully are getting to attend some in-person school to start the school year. We wanted them to have some nice new book bags and these fit the bill perfectly. Great size for Kindergarten/1st Graders, and we loved getting the embroidered names as well.

just the right size for my dinosaur-crazy kindergartener!

My daughter told me my granddaughter would love it, and she did. I was afraid it was too big for my 2 year old granddaughter, but my daughter said she needed that size (Junior size) because she said she needs to pack her lunch, extra clothes and a cost (when it gets cold). My daughter said it's perfect! Great choice of designs and great quality! Thank you!

I grew up using LL Bean backpacks my entire life and loved every one of them. They never broke or got destroyed I would just buy a new one for a new color. Now that I have my own children I wanted them to share in the memories of picking out their own Bean backpacks. My daughter turned 4 in May and is just over 30lbs and this bag is absolutely perfect for her, it's plenty big for some folders, toys, lunchbox, and sippy cup! We homeschool (even before all this Covid), but I wanted her to feel like a "real" student in a "real" school so I always put her lessons for the next day in her backpack and the first thing she does in the morning is run to open it. The quality is amazing and I'm confident she will outgrow it well before it will wear out. My only issue is her 2yo brother and her fight over it so we'll have to buy another.

Even though I've moved from Maine to Florida my kids still get LL Bean bags for back to school. Products are so well made they are hard to damage even if you try. This is a perfect size for elementary age

I got this for my 5 year old to use for school. It's big enough to fit his folders and school supplies but not so big that he struggles to carry it. I like the reflective bits they've included. The materials feel very sturdy and I expect it to last until he outgrows it. I only wish it had a second bottle pocket and that there would have been more print/color options.
