I purchased two of these. One for my 3.5 year old for a trip, then it can be used when she heads off for school, the other for my 5 year old for a trip then school this fall. It's a great size, a little big for my youngest, but will be perfect for school. Perfect size for the kid headed off to school. Great, sturdy material.

Our son used this same style back pack from kindergarten until it got stollen in College. :) So we decided to get one for our grandson. He loves the alligators and we are hoping no one will steal it with his name embroidered on it. :)

Great quality and love that it has a reflector strip for those early morning bus stop trips.

This is a great quality backpack and is on the larger side for my 3.5 year old but fits him and the backpack will be able to grow with him for a while. The backpack is a nice size and we can fit all of his things with room to spare for preschool each day.

Bought this junior book pack for a little girl who will be starting Preschool in a few months. She loves this book pack so much, that she plays "school" at home, wearing it throughout the house. She has the Night Sky Butterfly lunch box and Camelbak, so she's all set. Her mother loves all the zipped pockets and top-notch quality that one expects from LL Bean. I'm sure it'll last her for a few years to come.

Easy for a 3 year old to open, close and pick up. A little hard to get the water bottle in and out, but only for a 3 year old.

Do like the backpack - it's very well made. However, it took almost 4 months to be delivered.

Product was perfect! Shipping was another story. I ordered it in August 2021 and it FINALLY arrived January 2022.

Perfect for my 5-year-old. Good transition bag from his tiny preschool days. Not too big where it's hitting him in the back of the legs. He loves the print. And I love the LL Bean embroidery!! Happy customers. Only issue is that it took forever to get one bag, but, LL Bean did give an accurate back-order date before purchase.

I bought this book bag for my five year old granddaughter who absolutely loves it! It is very high quality and well made. It is so cute!

Bought this bag for youngest child so all three of our children would have LL bags. Our oldest bag was bought for our 15 year old son when started Kindergarten. His bag was bought with the life time warranty and has never needed to be replaced. The second bag was bought for our 12 year daughter, who did need a replace after a year or two because a zipper broke. With how well these bags have held up we knew our youngest needed one as well. Our youngest is 4 and is enrolled in Early childhood Development classes because of his disability, We are very happy with how well these bags have held up for so many years. They are well worth the money. And we a firm supported in the company.

It is a really good backpack and perfect size for my 1st grader and very good quality. Any backpack in the next size is just too big and not comfortable for my child to carry. This backpack can hold their 1/2in 3 ring binder filled with a folder and some loose wide ruled paper, she carries her notebook and sketchbook in there as well with plenty of space left over.

I got this for my child in PK4. It's very high quality and is exactly as pictured. There's lots of room for his things, maybe even too much room for school stuff but it's also great for holding his toys and belongings when traveling. The side pocket for the water bottle is nice. The pattern is very vibrant and we received lots of compliments on it. I also like the reflective stripe and the very durable straps.

Perfect pre school size. Great for first day of pre-school for a 3 year old.

Love these backpacks for kids! My son has had his for four years and after a good hand washing this past summer it still looks near new, even after a lot of use at school and summer day camp. Highly recommend for early elementary schoolers.
