Super cute and durable. It is much smaller than the original size. Perfect for a small child in preschool through 1st grade especially if your kiddo is little. It has all the same functions than I've grown to love from the original backpack. My daughter is very excited. It's big enough to fit a 3 ring binder which is important for school age children. LLBean makes the most durable backpacks that I have found. I bought one for my son last year and it's still in perfect condition and we will be using it again this year.

Nice compartments. Fabric feels durable. Straps well padded. Son lives the print. Like that water bottle pocket on side is not made of mesh (which tends to rip) but rather the same material as rest of backpack and fits his hydro flask.

Theses are the absolute BEST backpacks for children. I bought them for my children in all sizes. I now buy them for my grandchildren. This one is for the youngest grand for September when he enters school. They last even when they are dragged on the sidewalk while walking to school

Fits a lunchbox and a full sized folder, plus an extra set of clothes, which were the preschool requirements. My child can put the backpack on easily and loves it!

The print is so cute! My little two year old boy loves it! We've only been using it for a week but he's able to unzip it and find his snack and water bottle.

LL Bean makes the best backpack on the market. I saw this pattern last fall but it was out of stock. The dog chewed my 6 year old granddaughter's school backpack last year. I immediately thought of replacing it with an LL Bean backpack I knew would last. I love the reflective strip giving her greater visibility for early mornings. I love how the Jr backpack is made for smaller children. This backpack fit all of the requirements. She is girlie enough to appreciate the pretty fabric.

This monogrammed Junior backpack is a great gift for a new baby. It can be used as a really cool diaper bag with the baby's name on it.

This is the third one I've bought. The second in the jr size. Mine from college over 20 years agonis going strong. I bought my son his when he was born. He's 10 and in fourth grade and has carried it as his school bag daily since he was 3. His is starting to separate at the left shoulder strap seam but has been hanging on a hook from the top handle at school for 5+ years. I just ordered one for my daughter who will start kinder in the fall. Hers is beautiful and these are perfectly sized for an elementary age kid. Would buy again and recommend.

It's a great size, a little big for my youngest, but will be perfect for school. Perfect size for the kid headed off to school. Great, sturdy material.
