The backpack itself is perfect except the stitching I had put on it was slightly messed up. It doesn't change my opinion of the backpack. I am 30 years old and I still have my backpack from middle school. They are built to last and I love them.

I bought the junior backpack in Navy and thought from the picture that it had army green piping and zipper pulls so I embroidered it the green color. When the backpack arrived it was all silver to match the reflective stripe across the front. Buyer beware color in picture is very different than what you get. Other than that it a very well made backpack.

I purchased this backpack for my grandson. He loves it. It's plenty big enough to hold a change of clothes, a pencil case and a snack. I got it monogrammed with his initials which is a nice touch. The best thing is the size. It isn't overwhelming big. Just the right size for a preschool aged toddler.

This backpack is a great size for a toddler. It is the quality you would expect from an LL Bean backpack. My only complaint is that they only a drink holder pocket on one side of the backpack. Why they didn't put a second one on the other side of the backpack is beyond me, but it would have been helpful.

We bought this book pack for our 4-year old granddaughter. The flap, which covers the zipper, gets in the way and makes it difficult for her to hold the bag and zip at the same time--especially if she has to get in/or out of the bag quickly. This has been frustrating and upsetting to her at times. However, the bag is a perfect size for her.

Ugh I really want to get one of these for my preschooler, but the colors aren't doing it, and the patterns are diabolical. Wish there was a nice peachy/rosey/ballet pink option instead of neon pink or pale purple. A pink that coordinates with the tone used on the tote bags would make sense, no?

Material was a lot thinner than I expected. I paid extra for the initials to be placed on it and they were crooked and off centered.

Love the backpack, classic and cute for my nephew's very first one. Pretty disappointed in the monogram. I called customer service and they sent a new one and the 2nd one is even worse. Thread isn't even throughout and it's even snagged! Unfortunately I don't have time to reorder a 3rd time. It doesn't look terrible from a distance.

Reflective material is not durable. The material looked a little worn in some spots when the backpack was brand new. After using the backpack for one weekend trip, there are deep scratches on the reflective material.

I was happy with the backpack but not the monogram. Visually the color looked great on my online order, but in person it was way too light. I'm not very happy with it but since it monogrammed there's nothing I can do. I wanted this backpack to be special for my granddaughter's very first day of school.

It's almost too durable! Unzipping and zipping the backpack takes some strength.

I was a little disappointed when I received the backpack. I bought these for my children several years ago, and the quality of the material on this one for my granddaughter was not as good as the ones I purchased years ago. The monogram was terrible. It was so tiny and it was not even centered on the backpack or the lunchbox. It was cute but overall I was very disappointed.

Cute bag. Doesn't feel as good of quality as the one I got my oldest in 2019 though. I also chose the smaller one after seeing it was 16L which is what the ones at the store for back to school are - this one definitely seems smaller than they are though. My oldest still uses hers and it is in great shape as is one I have that I used in college. I just hope this one holds up even though I see her outgrowing it sooner than expected.

Then both zippers broke unfortunately. Otherwise, it did a great job holding my son's school folders (1st grader).

The backpack is cute but the monogram could not be any smaller. Definitely a waste of money.

Stitching on the bottom of one of the straps came undone within 3 months of light use. Used as a preschool backpack so it was subject to hardly any weight.

Love the quality of the bag. I would have liked 2 pockets on the side of the bag versus 1 & the monogram was too small. Other than those 2 preferences I love my bag for my 1 yr. Old.

The zipper gets a bit stuck which can be quite frustrating for a little kid.

The overall quality is OK, but one of the zippers broke right after the 1-year mark.

We got the bright pink one for our daughter. Within a few months, it faded from the vibrant pink to a washed out pink. Admittedly, the backpack was outside quite a bit, as the kids hang their bags outside on hooks. However, it is shaded by a roof from the sun for most of the day. Outside the massively faded color, the bag is in EXCELLENT condition. We're going to get another backpack as my daughter is no longer a fan of pink and also doesn't like how faded her bag now appears.

Monogram info: I ordered 2 backpacks, my daughter's name has 3 letters and my son's name has 7 letters. My daughter's name was 2x as big as my son's and her's looks much better & proportional on the backpack. Apparently this is standard. This is the info I was given after the fact. Just FYI ! The letter heights: 1-3 letters: 1", 4-6 letters: 3/4", 7-10 letters: 1/2" The backpacks are GREAT and I really love them, I just think it's silly to have such a vast difference in font size if they are all names.

This backpack is awesome quality. However, the amount of things my toddler needed to bring to Pre-School on a daily basis did not fit in this backpack. I've since purchased the Original Back Pack, which is better for fitting a folder and crafts, a lunch box, and a daycare sleeping bag. It was overall a waste of money, due to updating their packs to the Original size after one year of use. However, I am saving these packs for when they get older and go on day trips. They'd probably be a good size for a teen at an amusement park, museum, etc. might need some strap altering, but we will see. Overall, just too tiny.

I love the color, size and quality of the backpack, however the monogram is off center.
