I've been wearing Fresh Foam 1080s for years, and they've always done me right. The newest iteration the v12s are as close to a perfect shoe as I have ever experienced. Way to go, New Balance!

I have three pairs of NB 1080v12, and these are my favorites.

The added sole girth and heel cup do little to improve the feeling and function of the shoe, other than add grams of unneeded weight. I rather enjoy the V11 heel, and was dismayed at the changes they made in the V12. Other reviews suggest that the V12 runs slightly wider than the V11. I did not find this to be the case. I have been training in the 1080s since V5, and I have always been a 13 wide. I listened to the reviews and got a 13 normal in the V12s, and they were noticeable tighter. These fit the same as the previous 1080s. I will be buying several V11s whilst they're available and hope they revert the changes to the heel and sole in the V13s.

Great support, yet really soft, like running on pillows.

I use to leave these shoes and would get a couple at a time to swap out but the last three have been defective. Not sure if it is due to the wide format but on the toe of the shoe it has a crease that digs into one toe, three shoes ago was so bad that I threw away the shoe without wearing it a couple of times. The most recent pair has a leak in the foam which makes a loud running sound when walking.

I'm not really a runner but I walk up some very very steep hills every day, about 45 minutes of fast paced walking. I started having some aches and pains in my knees going down steep hills so started searching highly cushioned sneakers. To cut a long story short I have some rather expensive Hokas, The Saucony Triumph 19, tried on Brooks Glycerins, didn't really like the style or fit. Thought I'd try New Balance again as in my younger days NB was my go to sneaker brand. I kept hearing these 1080v 12s run large or at least a 1/2 size too big. I've worn a 10.5 medium width forever, but just in case, I ordered these in both 10 and 10.5. and thought I'd return whichever one didn't fit as well, just walking on carpet so they'd still be like new to return. To my surprise the 10's felt VERY tight and the 10.5s my normal size, felt like a super soft glove, I was blown away with how instantly comfortable they are. I'd have to say these are probably the most comfortable sneakers I have ever had. Though I don't run, I still feel plenty of support and I love the crazy bright Orange color I opted for. Like most sneakers these days, I feel they should all be $20-$30 less on an overall, that said, I LOVE these 1080v 12s...Best sneakers I've ever owned .

My fifth pair of 1080's and my favourite version! Comfortable on my long runs. Bought my usual size and fit is perfect. This version is better because the upper back heel is soft and snug. As a result sand doesn't kick into shoe.

I have been loyal to NB 1080 since V8 and I couldn't wait to have the V12. They are still the best for me not only for running but I use them in gym as well.

I'm on feet all day and needed something for support, and lots of cushion. The bottoms roll right off your feet back to front. Definitely a good running shoe. My knees are less sore, after a day's work. Only negative is the price.

For the last two years I have been suffering from neuropathy. These shoes enable me to run five thee times a week outside and on a treadmill. They are simply great shoes to wear and are very comfortable.

These shoes are awesome! I upgraded to the 1080 from 880's. It's like a night and day difference. Granted new shoes often feel better than your old ones but the 1080 v12 is one of the best daily trainer shoes I've had in years. I don't notice how (heavy) they are. Some of the reviews I watched before purchasing were a bit leery of the shoes weight, but I have yet to see them as being clunky or heavy on my longer runs. I did go a 1/2 size down from my normal size (as recommended by reviewers) and they fit perfectly.

Great shoe; an upgrade from prior versions...especially like supportive ankle area! Looking for two more pairs, but size not available in any color. Very frustrating!

New balance got everything right in the 1080 v12. The fresh foam is still excellent. The new material for the upper is just the right thickness. The heel counter is finally terrific. The sides keep your foot stable. If you have a wide foot and want the best cushioning, this is your best option. The only company with a wide toebox since they use a different last that no other running shoe company uses. Just the best you can get.

Since the last pair I bought, the sole has been improved greatly. Also for someone who needs 4E, the fit is so perfect for wide feet people.

I previously worn New Balance 1080 version 11 during my running workouts. As with all New Balance products, I was very impressed with the quality and thought given to the design of their products. I feel the same about the 1080 version 12 running shoe, a quality product worth the price of purchase. I normally run 40 miles a week and my New Balance running shoes have performed flawlessly.

I purchased these shoes for my new job. Because. I was gonna be on my feet for 10 plus hours. But with a week and a 1/2 on my feet. The heal on the left shoe. Began to make Popping noises. And now when I walk. It makes my feet hurt. I might just go to another competitor for now. I hope new balance can fix this issue
