I have used NB 1080V 9, 10, 11, and now 12. The 12 is the best version so far. It is more stable than the old ones, and it seems to have a more cushioned forefoot. I am a half-marathoner, have wide feet, and like to wear loose running shoes. One important information to my colleagues runners. Following previous reviews, I decided to try the new model, a half size number smaller. From the old ones, always number 10 Wide. To the new one, 9 and 1/2 Wide. It fits perfectly. The same number for the new model would be too big.

After our wearing my NB 990v4s during 2 years of COVID, these shoes showed me what I've been missing. The soft foam is just what I was hoping for; we will have to see how long it holds up.

Great new version! Great support, lightest shoe, and super soft and comfy! I'm excited to try them out on a long run! I love how they changed the ankle support, the mid-section, and reinforced the toe-box from the previous version.

Had these for the past 2 weeks and just completed the Brooklyn Half. Very happy! My previous shoes (tier1 brand) were causing me constant pain on left foot/heel. With these, no pain. Love the shoes! Fit is great and very comfi.

These are quite comfortable for basic walking, but really bottom out in the heel for me with anything more intense. I'm 6' and 250lbs, and my running stride is probably poor.

Never wore a shoes that felt right from the first moment I put on. My feet are a bit on wide side but not too wide and the 2E size fits perfectly well.

This is most comfortable running shoes I've ever owned. New Balance hit the mark when it comes to a running shoe. The Fresh Foam design has your feet singing. It is definitely a game changer. It's like walking on carpet in your sock feet. I put a lot of miles on my running shoes and these have held up very well. If your thinking of upgrading , this is definitely the shoe to buy. I take a wide width in shoes and the 2E fits perfectly. Thank you New Balance!

When I put these on I noticed they run a bit larger and wider than last year's model, as last year's model was more form fitting. Not a bad shoe though. The Achilles area material is different too. Last year it was rubbery, now it is more canvas-like. I think last year's model generally felt better overall.

Feels great under foot, I use every Sunday on my long runs. No hot spot, tongue lays still and is comfy on top of my feet. The laces stayed tied and the toe box is plentiful. The look is sharp too, great job New Balance. Hurry up and get the Rebel 3 out here along with the other 2022 line.

New Balance advertises the 1080 as the shoe they would produce if they could only produce one shoe. Similarly, I think if you could only have one shoe, the 1080 would make a great choice. For me, the standout sensation when running in this shoe is the rocker feel that makes it easy to keep the legs turning over when tired. I also like the looks of the shoe as it looks sleek and fast. Lastly, I think it is under-appreciated that New Balance offers this shoe in a variety of widths. I very much enjoyed the narrow fit offered in the 1080 V12 and commend New Balance for offering so many different widths across many of their shoes.
In the areas that need work, the shoe runs half a size too large. I only found this out through looking at many reviews online first. Also, the Fresh Foam X blend used in this shoe does not feel especially bouncy. I generally enjoy high-rebound shoes even for easy run days.

I've been wearing 1540's for years, 3 pair of the v2 & four of the v3. Tried these as NB was out of 1540's, they just aren't for me. As compared to the 1540v3, too long in length (unusually long), not quite as wide & way too soft. Had to return & wait for the 1540 to come back in stock...

Soooo comfortable. Love the look (though my family tells me they're the same color as traffic cones). Prob my fav pair of NB ever. Great shoes. I ordered a half size up and this slip on and off great.

I have been using 1080's for about 8 years now and so glad they have gone back to the basics of the heel cup. These shoes feel like I am walking on air and no longer do my knees ache. Love these shoes

I owned the original 1080, and 2 pairs of 1080v2. I just came home to the v12 after wandering in the shoe desert for a decade, and I'm very pleased. I've only run 5 miles on my treadmill and 10K on dirt roads so far, but the shoes feel great. I have short, wide feet (7-4E) with very high arches, and these fit me very well. Other brands have been making 4Es narrower, but the NB shoe still fits as it should and makes my slow miles feel good. I'm 71 years old, so you may not be running as slowly as me, but I think you'll still be comfortable in these.

at least it's available in 10.5 Extra Wide! When are men's LAV tennis shoes and Heiro trail running shoes going to come in my size?

My first instinct was that the v12 felt heavier than the v11, but I realize I think that every first run. Great fit and feel even a little wider in the toe box than last model and the breath fantastic. This is my favorite all around everyday run shoe, year after year.

I weigh 300 pounds and decided to run a 5K. I did some research and that is how I found the 1080. First fit was like a glove. First "run" was blister free, first mile was 17:30. 6 months later the only change is my weight and times. I've completed the 5K, 10K, and a 10 miler. I've signed up for more including a half marathon this fall. BTW I'm pacing at 13:00.
