I found the last pair of 1080's difficult to put on. The back of one shoe eventually broke down. This pair is significantly better and in keeping with the quality of previous 1080's. I plan to purchase again when the time comes.

The step in comfort is nice and I've enjoyed running in these so far. The knit was amazing. By far the best upper I've felt. There's a good softness and slight bounce in the midsole but I sometimes end up wanting more. They should swap out the fresh foam x with Fuelcell and they'd probably have the best max cushion shoe on the market! I've done an easy short run and a 16 miler yesterday. I was running on tired legs from the day before the shoes held up fine. I'd recommend!

I was looking for a shoe to help with pain on the bottom of my feet, the 1080V12 has been a godsend. Loads of cushion and at the end of the day my feet don't hurt anymore, wish I bought 1080's a couple of years ago. I use these mainly for walking and to the gym. They run about a half size lager so I would size down.

I really like this shoe! I just wish it was a smidge wider in the middle of the foot.

Very comfortable and true to size. I love this shoe every year NB makes the necessary changes needed to improve the model.

I haven't ran in them yet, but wanted to point out that I purchased the 1080v12 in a half size smaller and it fits like all my other shoes do at my normal size. They look awesome in orange. Plenty soft, a tad heavy, and bulky but will see if they feel that way during a run once I get some miles in. I'll update the review in more detail when I get enough miles in them to review. Initial impression though 5 stars, as expected.

The fit and lock down is good, however the length is too long! Downsizing by 0.5-1 recommended. 2E width fits my wide feet well. Running in this is very cushioned and comfortable.

Been using 108's for years. Was really looking forward to the release of the V12 version of the 1080. However when I received my new 1080 V12 11.5 WIDE I was terribly disappointed in the shoe-it is definitely not like the WIDE versions of old. I don't know what NB did, but apparently they've changed their frame or what ever they use for sizing shoes 'cause this claimed WIDE shoe is NOT WIDE!!!

I can always count on NewBalance for fit and comfort. I can take out of the box and wear all day.

Love the 1080s I've ran in the v10s and v11s and love the plush ride. Like many reviews have said these run a tad long so do order half size down.

I only buy New Balance shoes. I have 6 pairs of 1080 Fresh Foams. I have a wide foot (4E) and the Fresh Foams are a great fit. Another great thing is when you order them on line from New Balance you get free shipping and usually receive them in 2-3 days. They feel like pillows on your feet. New Balance are the only shoe that I buy!

AFTER OWNING THE 1080V10 WHICH WAS NOT A HIT FOR ME DUE TO DURALABILITY ISSUES (50MILES) IT'S WELCOMING TO SEE THE 1080V12 WITH MORE RUBBER COMPOUND ON THE SOLE, THIS 1080V12 FEELS LIKE THE SHOE YOU CAN PUT IN YOUR DAILY MILES, I HAD NO UNSTABLE FEELING AND LOTS OF CUSHIONING. THE DOWNSIDE IT'S NOT RESPONSIVE. IT'S NOT A SHOE TO GO UP HALF A SIZE DUE TO THE UPPER MESH BEING LOOSE, AND NB, WHAT'S THAT BUMP IN THE SOLE ON HEEL IT LOOKS LIKE WHEN YOU'RE IN TWO MINDS TO SOMETHING, TRYING TO CREATE SOMETHING YOU'RE UNSURE ABOUT. LOL

I've purchased every 1080 New Balance has produced and these are by far the most well made, most comfortable and best fitting to date. When New Balance said "if they could make only one shoe, this would be the one", I can certainly understand the reasons for making this comment after wearing these shoes for a few days. I'm planning to buy a second pair because I wear these type of shoes often, I walk on hard surfaces all day and change my shoes regularly. I have type 1 diabetes and need to take care of my feet. This is the first pair of shoes I've worn in a while that I can honestly say didn't give me foot fatigue after a vigorous, extended walk. I'm not a runner anymore due to neuropathy issues. If you are a runner, I think these would help extend your range. This version fits true-to-size in length. The width is snug upon first blush but after wearing three times is perfect. I bought the grey color. I was concerned they might be silver, but they are just a dark grey.

Not an avid runner by any means as my primary usage is for brisk walks and casual wear. Extremely comfortable on the feet from the toe box, width (4E option for me), and heel collar. Feet do not slide around at all. I wish the Hierro came in 4E as well.

Admittedly the 1080v11 was the most comfortable running shoe I have ever owned. I (literally) bought one in every color they offered. Today, I am glad I did because it seems I will have to wait until 2023 for them to "undo" what they have done here. Don't get me wrong, the v12 is a very solid and nice running shoe, but they made it a bit more narrow and they made the sole MORE FIRM. When I put these on I had to check the tongue label because I was certain they had sent me 880's by mistake. They had not. If having a super-soft FF sole matters to you, you may not be very happy with the v12. If it doesn't matter to you, you'll be fine. It mattered to me - so I'm disappointed.
