I've worn this marine blue jacket several times since I bought it about 2 weeks ago. It's going to be perfect for our "winters" here in NC - it's very light weight yet kept me very comfortable on the blustery days that we've had so far. My arms are short which means that I can curl my hands inside the sleeves and keep them warm. My sister-in-law highly recommended the jacket to me and, because she's married to my brother, I was skeptical of her opinion (just kidding) but she was 100% right on this one.

My husband has had the hooded PrimaLoft jacket for three years. He loves it. I decided to get the one without the hood for an upcoming winter trip to Europe. It is warm and very lightweight. You can dress it up with the right scarf - perfect when you just bring a carry-on for ten days of uncertain weather and activity. The medium is a bit roomy which allows for layers if it gets colder than 15-20 F. Otherwise, the jacket is warm enough.

I will be exchanging this coat for the extra small. The color, weight, design, and feel were all ideal, just a little large for me. I like the slightly longer length than comparable jackets from other companies. I didn't test it against the cold but it feels lightweight but very cozy. I feel confident this will be a good travel and chilly but not freezing weather jacket.

Bought it for a trip out west. Could not believe how light it is and how easily it packs into it's own inside pocket. Takes up little space in a carry on. When really cold it needs a layer like a sweater or flannel shirt. I bought a large because I like to layer, plus I wear a lot of tunic tops and they don't stick out with the longer length. Perfect jacket!

I have 2 of these jackets without hoods and tried to buy one with a hood. The first one I bought in 2017 is a lovely bright blue. The 2nd is black bought this fall. I love the first 2 wear them all the time. So I tried the same jacket with a hood. I ordered the red/currant and the blue/green and didn't like either color. Also this jacket has a breast pocket but there is no stitching on it. The look is as if they forgot to put the stitching there. So I'll stick with my original 2 and look for something with a hood in a color I like. I'm generally not a fan of many of the LL Bean colors this year.

My jacket arrived today and I wore it on a short hike right away. I LOVE this jacket! It is lightweight, extremely comfortable, kept my neck warm, long enough in back on and on. It's going to be perfect for my travels this fall and winter, spring too. My only whine is that I received the jacket today full price and now I get an email saying all outerwear is 20% off. That savings of $31 would have allowed me to buy a sweater too. Oh well, wah, wah. I love LLBean.

I'm 5'10 and this fit perfect, was worried about the arms being too short. Kept me warm on a trip to Yosemite and it was not too heavy or too warm. Love it! Also packed up perfect in my suitcase!

This jacket looks great on, fits well and is very packable. The all-around stand-up collar covers my neck which is good for warmth and also makes me look younger!

Really like this jacket, got three colors: black, blue, gray. (waited till they were on sale) Keeps me warm, but is very comfortable and love all the pockets. Got the regular small and like the fit. Don't like hoods, so got the one without hood. Very good for all year long. In winter, will wear this jacket under heavier coat. This would be a great travel jacket, taking up little space on airplane.

Purchased for a winter trip. I ordered the jacket and vest for my husband and myself. They run small so we had to return his for larger size. I purchased XL for both of us but he had to return his and go up to XXL. Normally XL would have been big on me but other than the sleeves being a bit long neither the vest or jacket are too big for me. Had to return husbands XL in exchange for a XXL because the XL was a bit tight in the shoulders and body. I wanted room to wear layers under them without feeling uncomfortable and I think they will be easy to travel with.

25% off and two friends told me to buy it. In May, in Northern Ireland, I needed a jacket. It was warm, petite and it fit in pouch. Perfect for traveling.

This jacket is just right in cold weather yet not to warm in cool weather. Perfect for our Tennessee ups and downs!

I got this to go on vacation in the Rocky Mountains. I wore it hiking and as a layer skiing. It's packable and warm. I initially ordered a small and exchanged it for an x-small.

Love this jacket. Fits well over sweaters, etc but is not too large when worn alone. Very lightweight. Crushable for packing.

This is the most comfortable jacket I have ever worn. It's very lightweight but warm. On the coldest days here in Maine, I wear a sweater under it. It's also very nice looking.

Love the coat. I think it will be perfect all seasons and pack well for trips. I especially loved finding it on sale for a great price!

this coat is very warm in my area we get below zero temps and wore this out with a sweater underneath and was not cold at all. Its comfortable to wear, wish it was a little more roomy around the hip area (a little snug) but otherwise love the coat, got it in the Grey nice color. would recommend to all that wants something light weight but warm.

Since I live in Florida, I have little use for a winter coat EXCEPT for when I travel to visit family and friends in cold climates. My 20 year old wool coat was bulky and beginning to show its age, so my daughter suggested that I look into the new advances available for winter outer wear. I'm so happy I did! This coat takes up a fraction of the space my old coat did and yet it kept me warm. It can be folded into its own pocket making it the size of a tooth fairy pillow - amazing. Some of the issues I worried about unnecessarily: the sleeves were plenty long, there are lots of pockets and it didn't make me look fat! For me, this coat is a winner.

Perfect fit. Length is a plus. I bought this to wear as a jacket alone or layering while traveling. It does both well. Not sure it is warm enough in really cold weather but that is not what I was looking for.

I love this jacket!!! Wore it in Boston with weather in high 40's, low 50's and it was perfect! It is so comfortable and warm. I usually wear a medium, but ordered the large so I could be sure to have enough room to layer and I am so glad I did. Lots of room and no tight fitting areas. Love, love, love it!!!

Lightweight but still warm. Perfect as an outer jacket in cooler temps and works as a mid-layer for skiing in colder temps. Folds up small

Was purchased for my daughter who is 5' tall. Even the petite seemed to overwhelm her. It's a great jacket and both my husband and I own one (regular, not petite) so wanted to get her one. Sadly, we had to return it. Still gave it 5 stars because though it didn't fit her perfectly, doesn't mean it's not a great item.

I love everything about this coat. The green is a unique jewel tone. The fit was as expected, true to the size chart. It is extremely lightweight, and packs up into itself, making a perfect tiny pillow. ( A second generation rancher, this fits in my leather saddlebags. ) My only complaint is that I wish it had a hood, in case of rain.

I ordered theMarine Blue in this jacket and absolutely love the color. I have had several compliments on the color. As for the warmth this jacket provides, I was a little disapointed. I am in Alabama and it was not warm enough on our cold days so I don't see how it could be warm enough for the colder states. For me it will take the place of a sweater since I don't like sweaters. I love the hidden pockets but will have to be careful what I put in then so the material is not torn or snagged. I purchased this jacket to carry traveling, since it folds up into itself, it will work nicely in my backpack.
