I got this for my early morning walks and hoped that it would withstand wind better than my fleece pullovers. It has worked out beautifully, and I love warmth without bulk. I probably should have ordered a M, to have a closer fit but the sleeve length and the shoulder measurements in L are better for me; there's lots of room for a sweater underneath, and there are toggles around the bottom to seal the hem closer to the body if desired. The red currant color was out of stock when I ordered, so the teal was my second choice -- and it's great.

I have been debating over which coat to get, I live in Vermont so we need different styles and types, this coat is perfect ! I ordered a medium as I usually wear a 8-10 and it fits perfect, Im so excited..I can wear this in the car and not feel too stuffed, also you can where a shirt and a thin pullover and it still fits without being too tight.. Just love this Mountain blue color ..Cross country skiing and snow shoeing is going to be perfect now..

However, I don't find it very warm as I am over 65. So I ordered the vest and wear both at the same time. I also ordered a fleece just in case. Meg

I love this jacket. I was a little hesitant because of it's super light and thin build, but it's very warm and keeps me protected from the wind. If you want warm without the bulk this is a wonderful choice. Additionally the sleeves and overall length are just fine on my tall frame.

I love this jacket. I bought it to wear on training hikes. I live in San Diego and it does get chilly especially early mornings. This has enough pockets for keys, my ID's and phone. It's light enough but warm over a base layer as well as over a fleece vest. I have been wearing it as my commuter jacket as well.

This lightweight jacket does what it is supposed to do...keeps you warm with temperatures in the 20's and 30's. No pulls on this material thus far. Perfect, stylish, fit. Chose the blue color and have had numerous compliments.

I cycle through the winter and have not found any warm cycling jackets as of yet. I saw this one in the Llbean catalogue and thought i would give it a try. It breaks the wind as i'm riding and keeps me warm with my other layers. Perhaps you could make a jacket like this for cyclists. You would have to shorten the length, add some back pockets and make it a little more form fitting and you would have a great product. Thx

This jacket exceeded my expectations. The length is perfect, weight is exactly what I wanted, and just the right number of pockets outside and in.

I am so pleased with this jacket! The fit could not be better; ample sleeve length and perfect collar style. The inside drawstring at the bottom is a great idea. There are multiple large pockets with easy to use zippers. I live in Texas and the level of warmth is perfect for our winters. If the temp gets too cold, I add an underlayer.

I've worn this jacket almost every day since it arrived. Very light weight, great LL bean quality as always. The great thing about this jacket is that I can easily stuff it in my regular size purse.

Fits perfectly, with enough room for thin layers underneath. Folds up nicely too. I really love it.

As advertised this coat is LIGHT weight. It's thin but warm into the lower 30's. We haven't had any colder weather than that. I loved the first one so much I got another one!

I love my LLBean packaway jacket. It is a bit fitted (I'm 5'10 with an athletic build) but it isn't too snug. Its fit allows for you to layer on top of the jacket if needed. It is lightweight, and I love the red currant color with contrasting zipper and the chest pocket. I wear this jacket all the time; great jacket for a good price. I have a more expensive name brand jacket with 60g primaloft insulation and find myself wear my LLBean packaway more.

I bought Petite Small. I went to Helen, Ga. mid November. I layered and it wasn't necessary. I had plenty of warmth and room. Temp. ranged from 35 evening to 65 daytime..The coat/jacket light weight and pockets ample for gloves, phone, tissues, etc. interior pocket for whatever.

I absolutely LOVE this jacket. It is so lightweight and non-bulky compared to other quilted styles! Although it's lightweight, I wear it all winter long. I bought a second one with a hood already and am ready to buy a third one! Fits great (arms not too long) even though I often have to buy petite sizes.

I purchased this jacket specifically for travel as I live in a warmer climate and wanted something that would not take up a lot of room in my suit case. This jacket has its own self containing pouch. Also, I purchased a size larger so I could layer if necessary. I could not have been happier with this purchase

The fit is perfect.
So warm even though not bulky or heavy - feel is like a light weight spring coat
Collar comes high and breaks wind
Used on airflight from S Carolina to Indiana - easy to stash, folds and compacts
Temps in Indiana were in 20's. Was warm all the time.
Color - blue is very nice
