While I liked the weight and the color, the fit was terrible. Sleeves are very tight. Returned for refund. Still waiting for refund to process 3 weeks later.

Poorly insulated. I was cold. When I took it off I held it up to the light and I could see through it. Maybe I got a defective jacket. I returned it

Was not happy with this jacket . When I received it , it was not lined and almost paid 200 for it ? Returned it and purchased something else .

I have long arms and usually have issues with things being short. This was the opposite! The arms were WAY too long. I was pleased that it fit my bust, which is often an issue, but the arms were made for a freak show oddity. It also didn't feel like it would be warm enough for winter. The temp rating is baloney. Not worth it!

I didn't like this at all, it didn't fit well, it wasn't warm enough. I returned it promptly and LL Bean decided to give me a gift card instead of refunding my credit card and I needed the money back. I won't be shopping at LL Bean any longer

Very light jacket. Very little warmth. I had high hopes but this just does nothing for me.

Comfortable, warm and color amazing.
A great change from black as the vibrant pink perks you up during snowy grey days

Didnt fit. Loved the color and weight. But the arms were tight. I purchased another of these jackets in previous years and that jacket fit well. Returned this one but and asked for a larger size but no response from Bean. That is disapointing

I loved this jacket!!!! However the first one had a bad zipper that kept splitting open. The replacement also had the same issue. A thinnish plastic zipper. So disappointed because I really loved it. Bean's customer service excellent and I've received a full refund.

I have bought three of these jackets in the past and I love them. This year's model was huge and weirdly flared out at the hips. It also had super shiny fabric that I did not like. I had to return it but I exchanged it for the stretchable packaway jacket and it was great.

Bought this in size M for me and men's S for teen son. I have bought multiple winter coats/jackets from LLbean in past and LOVED them. Very disappointed in this jacket. Rating id 35+ /-15. On a typical January day in Michigan this was like wearing nothing at all, not a winter coat. Not at all warm, my teen son just wears from car in parking lot into school and it feels like he is not wearing a coat at all Would be best in spring temps over 45, at 32 degrees I was wishing for another layer. Not what I expect from LL bean outerwear

I have purchased a number of these jackets and couldn't believe this was the same jacket as in the past. It was way too long and because I wear it layered under an 850 hooded jacket, it shows below the outside jacket. There is virtually no down in it. I should have returned it but I was too lazy to do so. Too much effort during CoVid.

Bean clothing in a petite small fits me consistently. The jacket seems like good quality but the body is a little large and the sleeves are WAY TOO LONG. I'm not sure if an extra small petite would make that much difference in sleeve length so it's going back.

Hello, after ordering a Michael Kor jacket on line in a 2x, and finding it a tiny bit snug if I were wearing a sweater, I ordered the LL Bean jacket in a 3x, figuring it would be bigger and accommodate a sweater. WRONG. The arms are extremely tight, with no sweater. The shoulders and chest were extraordinarily tight. I tried a 2x from two other companies and they fit better than this! Beware that plus sizing is horrible. Had this issue with Bean before in Plus sizes. :(

I was looking for a jacket for the days that were too warm for my heavy down jacket (the kind of weather we have been having this winter) and was warmer than the primaloft barn jacket that I have from another vendor. This went back the day after I got it. (1) it is not warm....I tried it out with a walk around the block on a sunny day in the mid 40's with no wind - I frooze. Feeling the jacket it doesn't feel like there is anything between the inside and the outside of the jacket - just two pieces of fabric with nothing inbetween. Where is the primaloft? (2) LLBean medium has always fit me... The hourglass cut of this jacket makes it impossible to wear anything under it (none of the sweaters or fleeces that I would wear under it are cut like this). I want a jacket it I can wear with a fleece or a sweater underneath not something thats cut like a skinnyfit tee shirt.

This jacket was a gift from my spouse and was intended to replace a Primaloft jacket (purchased elsewhere) that I've had for many years that has a broken zipper. The temperature range was listed as +35 to -15, which sounded perfect. However, the actual comfort zone seems to range from temperatures in the lower 50s down to the mid 30s--even with multiple layers under it. It might be suitable for cool spring days, but it is not a winter weight jacket. It is lightweight, which is nice, but the reason it is so lightweight is that there is very little insulating fill. I have worn it hiking in windy conditions with temperatures in the mid to upper 20s and became extremely chilled (I had it layered over a turtleneck, a fleece jacket, and an insulated vest). Also, I wear a day pack when I hike and the Primaloft fill leaks out of the seams where the pack rubs on the jacket. I have NEVER before had a jacket do this. I've shopped at LL Bean in the past and this is the first truly disappointing item I've gotten. I'm now searching for a real winter jacket.

As my first L.L. Bean purchase, I was so excited to order this in preparation for a trip up north. I saw the temperature rating and thought this will be good and compact for me to take from Texas to New England's mild winter highs in the mid-30s and lows in the mid-20s in lieu of my bulky, wool winter coat.
Once I received it, I opened it and thought that it was very thin, but usually jackets like this can insulate well, especially with layers, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I took it to work with me and thought, if this jacket could survive a mild Texas winter with temps around 50 with some wind, I should feel nice and toasty. Welp - I was not. To put it in perspective, I wore a medium thickness sweater with camisole underneath for layers today and the jacket did not do its job to keep me warm. I zipped it all the way up, covered my neck, pulled the drawstrings, hands in the pockets... I was still cold. Needless to say I am pretty disappointed and will be returning. I feel the filling could be a different material and slightly thicker because it does not trap heat well.
It was just a shame to me after hearing my family in N.E. rave about L.L. Bean products and their high quality.

Really sorry I ordered this. When the day is warm, the jacket is hot. When the day is cold, the jacket provides my body with extra refrigeration. Will make sure to stay away from PrimaLoft in future.

I was so excited for this coat. I purchased a large because I had bought some stuff for Christmas in a medium and I had to return it for a large. So I got the large and it was huge so I debated on a medium or small to exchange it for. I decided on the medium. It fit pretty well, the sleeves were long but fit in the waist. On top of all this... I asked for advice from customer service from the beginning medium or large- I was told a large. I also had to return it and pay the return fee, even after asking.

I needed a jacket that was packable and wind resistant for a trip to the national parks in Utah. I dressed in layers for hikes in high elevations. Even with two layers under this jacket the wind tore right through my clothing. Had to buy a wind breaker to put over this jacket to break the wind. After reading reviews I bought a medium instead of my normal size, which is large. Fit me perfectly.
These statements are misleading:
Features NASA-developed Aerogel technology for even more warmth without weight.
Wind- and water-resistant construction keeps you protected from the elements.
I expected more from such an expensive jacket.
May I return it?

Wanted a new color, so I ordered the same size as my present pack away coat. Old one fit fine, but this one is too snug. There is no room for layering.

I was eager to get this in the mail, and very much in need of a lightweight jacket for spring...but so disappointed with this!
I'm 5'1", 110 lb, and I ordered P XS. The petite sizing was way off -- sleeves were too long, the waist was high and cut in too sharply from the armpits, the biggest part of the chest was too low (so it looked front-saggy), and the size overall was really big.
Would the size down fit? I wouldn't expect it to based on how big this was. And it's annoying enough to pay return shipping when you really wanted something to work, I can't see taking a chance and potentially paying return shipping twice. So frustrating.
