I like the color but do not like the LLBean logo patch on the front. If I had seen that when I ordered it, I would not have bought it. I don't like such labels on the outside of clothing. I feel like I'm being a billboard. Also, the vest is a little too long.

This vest is beautifully made, as are all LLBean products, but the style is simply too long. If it came with a 2-way zipper, it would work well, but as it is it doesn't work when sitting, driving, etc.

I have worn many "Trail" fleece vest from LLBean. As soon as the weather cools off, I wear them over 3/4 sleeved-t- shirts and later on over t-necks. They look nice and I feel comfortable in them. I often coordinate the t-shirts with the color of the vest, and I have had complements about them. I felt it was time to add another pretty color to my "cooler weather" wardrobe. I was a bit disappointed about the yellow/ brown cords that were attached to all the zipper pulls, there were three of them for two pockets and the closure of the vest. It was also used for the hanging loop at the collar. I didn't like the cords in front of the vest, and I took them off. Then I looked at the LLBean label on the chest, I didn't like it either and almost returned the vest. Instead I took the label carefully off with a seam ripper. The vest looks much better now, and I will enjoy wearing it. Please, the vest looks sporty enough as it is, but adding labels in full view and cords make your nice, quality closing look "so-so". You used to have your name embroidered discreetly embroidered on the hem of the vvests which was a much better way. This time I gave the vest three stars.

The collar does not lay correctly on my neck. It is heavier than I was hoping for

Received this vest in the mail and it was 2 days early!!! It is a nice quarry gray lightweight vest and it is somewhat small fitting. I usually purchase a medium in other brands but this is a large and it is snug in the hip. Also, the fleece does not look durable so I will have to be careful when laundering it on delicate. Specific instructions are NO DRY CLEANING. The vest hits just at the hip and I like the zippered pockets. Will reserve further comment until it is laundered and hopefully no shrinkage. I am 5'4" tall, 36B chest and 145 lbs.

I love the fit. I like the vest. When I took it out of the package it seemed fine. First time I wore it the polar fleece balled up on the back and front. I have washed it and it still has polar fleece balls that come off. Must have been a bad batch.

I ordered this vest in black. It is not black, but rather a charcoal color.

I like most everything about this vest except the toggles at the hem and the armholes. I like the overall design, style, and color (navy). The armholes are too big and the toggles make for a bulky bottom hem. I might try a smaller size to see if that fixes the armhole issue and then remove the toggles. LLBean: this is a good vest overall; just needs a little redesign.

A boring but functional fleece vest, kind of bulky (pockets) , washed out color & not as attractive as the previous/older model LLBean vests - disappointing

I love the look and quality of this best but literally haven't worn it a full day since I got it because the fabric touching my neck makes it itch like crazy. I just saw that I can return it as it has not been a full year so I will change it out for one made if something different.

I really like this item, but after three months the zipper pull fell off. I'm returning it for an exchange. Hopefully the next one will be better made.

After washing the zipper didn't shrink but the fleece did somewhat. Therefore the zipper now has a ripple and doesn't lie flat like in the photo. Disappointing.

I bought this vest when my former go-to black fleece vest finally wore out. The new one, both the women's and the men's versions, is NOT BLACK, to my huge disappointment. I am wearing it because I really need it, but it is deep charcoal and doesn't complete my outfits in a satisfactory way. If you have black jeans and want a truly black vest, this is not for you.

I normally love LL Bean clothes! And I would have kept this vest except for the fact that I ordered black and this black is not black. When I asked my husband what color it was, he said green. When I tried it on with a black shirt under it, it looked gray. So, I sent it back. I was sorry to do so because I really like the vest but the color just wasn't right for what I wanted.

I love the fit of the vest and the length, but after two washes the adjustable string on it broke. For the price you pay you would hope that it would not have problems right away. I would definitely buy another just for how comfortable it is.

The vest color and overall fit was true to what was advertised. However, I did not like the horizontal stitching line, across the vest and just above the pockets. This line cause puckering and the mirror visual was not pleasing to me. I prefer vertical stitching as/if needed or none at all.

I purchased both the xs and petit small and both were too roomy. I wasn't crazy about the style--otherwise I would have ordered a smaller size. Seemed a little dowdy. I didn't like the seam above the pockets and in fact felt the diagonal pockets were too emphasized. I like a "perpendicular" slit zipper pocket on the side. I like the fleeces of years ago that had only "side" seams and simple slit pockets. I do like adjustable bottoms or elasticized bottoms on vests.

I got this vest as a back order after Christmas. Was so excited Jan 5..,fit is great , color too but the fabric is cheap and pills under arms. I will not purchase again and disappointed in Beans selection and approval of quality.

I bought it real big.usually an xl..because I really wanted it and they only had 2x left ....quality of fleece is not the usual for llbean...I do love the fact it's long being so tall....I have vests from llbean that are over 20 years old long cozy fleece were amazing....my new one does not compare.....they need to have longer vests...and how about pink....

I really liked the look of the fleece with it's more trim side seams and longer length, but the fabric was the issue. It stretched out and looked sloppy after one wear; it is not a hefty, quality fleece and I never enjoyed wearing it. It lacks the softness and thickness of LL Bean fleeces I have purchased in the past.. Disappointed to have to return it,but it just wasn't worth the hefty price of $59.

I purchased this vest only because the Trail Model Polartec Fleece vest is no longer available. I have 5 different colors of the Trail Model that I've purchased over the years and love them, but this Mountain Classic Fleece is a poor substitute. It began pilling almost immediately. A pill remover will remedy that but what good does it do if you have to do it all the time; I live in Vt. so I wear this under a coat a lot, and it pills everywhere. I also don't care for the mid-line seam. It's warm, so I continue to wear it, but I'd love to see the Trail Model available again.

I have several problems with this black fleece vest. (1) It is dark charcoal, not black. (2) The fabric is stiff and not comfy. It has been washed and dried 3 times and is not softening up. I have a 2-3 year old fleece jacket from LLB that I love and that they no longer sell. I will not order another vest. I kept it because we were leaving on a trip and I needed something warm to take.

WOULD HAVE REALLY LIKED THE VEST WITHOUT THE SEAM AROUND THE MIDDLE. THE SEAM DIDN'T ENHANCE THE LOOK. IN FACT IT MADE THE FABRIC FALL STIFFLY BECAUSE OF IT. LOSE THAT SEAM. OTHER THAN THAT, THE QUALITY IS FINE.

I could not find an indication of length before I ordered. Would like longer but will keep. Not sure that gold bits add much I may remove. Also I certainly hope I can remove the llbean logo successfully I am not in the habit of advertising products.

Disappointed because even though not warm and thick not lacks the two features I've always looked for in all my LLBean vests that were priced lower than this one. Big insidenn be pocket for phone Chest pocket LLBEAN's unfortunately is raising prices at the expense of beloved features.
