Very nice vest, but the zippers scratch your hands. Compared with other outerwear, these zippers are much thicker. They should have used finer (softer) zippers for the pickets.

Did not care for Logo, made too sporty. Returned. Am loyal to LLbean fleece ....

I bought the PL because I intend to wear it over sweatshirts, etc. but it's still quite roomy. Maybe I should have bought the PM. Like the looks of it though, and I'm keeping it.

Fits well and it's warm. It's light, which is what I want. I have a heavier vest for colder times. I removed the adjustable item in the hem. It stuck out on the sides. I don't need it. I'm not a true outdoor person so this may be of value to others & not so much for me. Very satisfied with the purchase. I would rather the fobs on the zippers be something more pliable.

I purchased the Mountain Classic Fleece Vest Misses in a petite, large size. I received it around 10/31/18. I wish I could remember the way it fit all over, but that's all I remember is that it had a stiff collar. It may have, in time, after many washings, softened up but I didn't want to take the chance it wouldn't.

Love it! Soooo soft and warm.... Be sure to measures for right fit!

This vest is warm, soft, and perfect for PNW fall and winter weather. It is exactly what I was looking for to replace the fleece vest my dog decided to destroy! The only reason I chose four stars instead of five is the color. For those who love a true black, this is not. It's pretty, but when worn with other blacks, you can see that it is more of a dark blue/grey.

This is a comfy vest and I will probably keep it, but the black vest is not a true black. It is more like a dark charcoal grey.

In t-shirts and most tops I wear a petite small. If I don't want a skin tight fit, I'll sometimes get a petite medium. So I ordered a PS in this vest and it was HUGE. I returned the vest for an exchange - the process was easy but very slow. Two weeks later I got a PXS and it fits fine. But I don't wear XS in any other piece of clothing, so I'd say these run large in terms of sizes.

Warm, flattering vest with fantastic pockets. I'm ordering another. I would have given it five stars if it didn't have the company logo.

The vest is awesome. I want every single color they can put out there. I hope we get some newer, more colorful options soon. In the meantime though, the vest is definitely roomy and if you want a fitted silhouette definitely size down.

In Bean's outerwear, I normally wear XS or S, depending on the cut and style of the item. I originally ordered this vest in size Small, and the arm holes were so large, they came almost down to my waist! I re-ordered this item in size XS. The arm holes of it are still a little large but are a little more proportionate to the rest of the vest and will still allow me to wear a thicker knit top or sweater underneath it. Love the nautical navy color with dark gold zipper pull tabs. Nice quality and retro preppy look. Getting it 25% off made this a really good deal, too!

I was surprised at how big the vest is. It flares out too much for me on the bottom half. I am 5'10" and weigh 145lbs. I ordered a women's medium and I returned it. I have strong broader shoulders, and upper back with a more narrow waist, but slightly wider than average hipsso I thought the medium would have been perfect. It WAS perfect on the top half but the bottom half was too darn big. It did NOT accentuate my true shape at all. If and when I order another one, I'll have to give the "small" a try in hopes that it won't be too tight on the upper half. Same thing happened with another vest in the women's department. This is the first time I've ordered from llbean tho. I ordered a small vest in the men's section and it fits perfectly for my body type.

I loved the fit of this vest. (PXL) Unfortunately, I have to return. I bought the mauve taupe because it looked to have a distinctly pinkish hue online. It is full on tan/taupe with maybe a pinkish undertone. Devices can have color variance but in the many, many LL Bean items I have ordered online, I have never experienced such a dramatic variation.

the size chart was way off. I ordered PL and had to exchange it for PM. the shoulders on the PM were way too wide and the armholes were enormous..

I do not like this vest because: (1) it is not black (it looks like charcoal) (2) it is not a warm feeling fleece (my 3 previous vests felt soft). Future purchases will NOT have recycled components. I am a 74 y.o. that looks for warmth, comfort, durability and minimal shrinking in my clothing from LLBean. Note: this vest was purchased last October, 2024.

I was looking for a fleece vest that fits my short torso. Don't normally order petite, but this worked. Not a fan of bold logos on clothing, but this will mostly be worn as a core layer inside my house that I tend to keep cool.

I have one I was gifted and find it is too short for me at 5'7" and also wouldn't it be nice if Beans brought in some fresh new colors? These are so drab and really been around for decades. When I open the closet I really have to look to see which clothes are mine and which are his.

my vest arrived today. when i put it on, i was shocked to see that the LLBean ad was so large and attention-getting. i won't want to wear it so will return it. i did look through the vests available here; the only one i see without the ad doesn't come in plus sizes, which i need as i am using a wheelchair full-time...disappointment number two.

Warm and well-made, I am overall happy with it... except for the color, which looked more pinkish mauve in the pictures, but is actually borderline beige, more dull and washed out in person. I guess I was hoping for a little more color.

Nice color and feel. Perfect for work where a sweater is too much.

I bought a Petite Medium, which is my usual size in LL Bean women's clothes. The vest was so large I could have fit a puffer jacket under it. The armholes were way too large, sagging down in an unattractive way. What has happened to standard sizing? Will return.

Vest Is warm and well-constructed, pockets large enough to hold iPhone securely, and zipper appears constructed to last. However, the color selection is uninteresting. The problem is that it adds undue bulk and is unflattering. This is the company's replacement for a much nicer version it offered 5 or so years ago: it had softer fleece and more graceful styling and fit.

This is a great vest but I wanted something a little less ballistic. No complaints about it at all,just was not what I expected
