Very well made, but a little "boxy". Would prefer a more tailored design. If you have a boxy shape, it's a great vest. My lady, who is busty but has no butt, prefers a more tailored, tapered style.

I got the Muted Purple in size Medium. Fit was ok in bust (I'm 36DD) but was rather long in torso and too long overall. Color is nice to look at but it didn't go with anything in my closet except black. I didn't care for the zipper tabs but they could be removed. Nice quality garment but not the best fit or color for me - decided to return.

It's a perfect, simple and beautifully colored women's vest that easily will fit under a jacket during winter.

Color is nice soft teal. Fabric and fit are good. Look forward to this keeping me warm on walks and around the house. Zippered pockets are good for phone, keys, tissue etc.

I love the color! Most difficult to find a regular fleece vest in medium purple. I despise sweater fleece vests. The zipper pockets are great and a must! No zippers means keys, wallet & cell phones fall out. Mother have to bend A LOT. Sans pockets is daft!

I returned this vest because of the fabric. It just wasn't something I would enjoy and be comfortable with. The type fabric altered the shade of black too. But as always with LL Bean merchandise, the construction and the style were fabulous !!!!!

Fits well and is warm. Color not as deep as in photo.

This vest runs generous. I would usually wear an XL and had to reorder in a Large. Even the Large is a little big. The purple color is nice.

I loved the color but the fleece isn't is as soft as I was hoping. It is thick and warm so I give it a 4 star rating. I'll wash it and see if it softens up. It would be really awesome with a zipper that opens at the bottom as well as the top.

Nice color, fabric and weight of fabric, and style. Oddly, the arm holes are enormous, especially considering the size vest that I purchased. Still, this vest is versatile and wearable across several seasons.

This vest is cozy. I like the toggles at the bottom to tighten the hem. It seems like there's too much fabric around the underarm area, but I'm right in between a medium and a large, so that's probably why, since I bought a large. It's really a nice vest, all in all. I imagine I'll be wearing it for years, and the color (muted purple) is lovely and goes with everything.

I have several of these vests and bought this one for my mother. But I got the size wrong, and she says it's too heavy for her-a petite 90+woman, so I'm returning it.

I love the vest, but I wish I'd ordered the small petite instead of the medium. The vest is soft, warm-and all I'd hoped.

Good quality but runs large. I would have returned if there was not a charge to do so.

I like the fleece vest a lot. I am pleased that at last your size medium has enough room in the hips. I love the teal color. I love the warmth. My one big unhappiness is the L L Bean logo on the chest. This is not attractive or appropriate in casual social settings. I hope to pick out the stitches and remove the logo patch.

it is a nice warm vest. my only issue is the color is not true black. it's like a dark grey

This is a very nice fleece vest but it was not what I was looking for. I found the collar created bulk I preferred not to have under a very bulky coat. Very nice but not for my circumstances.

Love this vest! My only complaint is that there is no 2 way zipper. A joy to have when driving.

This is a lovely vest BUT I bought the exact same size last year but this new vest has really large armpits that stick out. I wear a petite XS so I can't purchase a smaller vest. I'll keep it but it doesn't look as good as last year's version.

The Mountain Fleece vest is soft, warm, comfortable and fits well. Unfortunately, there are no inner pockets as in previously purchased Beans fleece vests, nor is there a zippered vertical chest pocket (as in the men's version) that would be a great place to keep a phone, or credit cards and ID.

I really miss the classic WindStopper fleece vests. The fleece on those was a nice tight weave and they had interior pockets. This fleece is a looser weave and has no interior pockets. I got the Sienna Brick because I really wanted an orange vest. It's not quite as orange as I hoped, but it's not really salmon, either. It's sort of a light persimmon. I got the regular medium and it fits as well as my older Bean windstopper vests, which are also in medium. I'm just shy of 5'3" and weigh about 125; athletic (swimmer) build. But please, if any LL Bean product people look at these reviews, please bring back that amazing windstopper fleece AND the interior pockets on your vests. I would give this vest a 3.5, but rounded up to 4 because it's well made and I like the slanted pockets.

I ordered the Sienna Brick hoping for the rich color in the catalogue. I checked it out on my phone, my ipad and a computer and the color was the same on all devices. I did this knowing that different monitors can distort colors. In reality this is very muted and not what I was looking for however I kept it because I love everything else about it. I am 5'4 and 144lbs. Ordered a large and it is perfect for my purpose, with a flannel shirt or light weight sweater under it. Would have given 5 starts if the color was right. May consider buying the purple one a little later.

Great length for my size. Wish it were a little more tight fighting, though, as the closer fit would provide. Little more warmth. Love the deep pockets and overall look.

I was and am excited to have fleece vest that is not the heavier sherpa style in petite. Both are hard to find. I do agree with previous reviews, the black is not really black, maybe dark charcoal and in some lights looks bluish. It almost looks faded. I am also not a fan of the zipper pulls which I changed, the overprominent patch now removed, and the horizontal seam in the back. I am keeping it because it fits although those few changes would have made it a 5 star. I was disappointed that the colors in petite were not as interesting as the one that has green, navy etc in Regular fit.

I own this vest in nautical navy from a previous year's purchase. Decided to purchase again in sienna brick color. Size XS is a nice, close fit, which I like to wear over long sleeve tees or turtlenecks for warmth. However, the sienna brick is NOT the pretty orange-pumpkin color shown online and in the Bean printed catalog. It is a dirty, faded orange color, which isn't very appealing to me. The vest itself is a nice item, but because of this color, I'm returning it.
