I had a very old wind breaker size M vest from Bean that finally gave out. I reordered a size M and it was huge. Sent it back for a S and honestly that's kind of big too. Kept it.

Even though I ordered a petite, this vest was too long for me. The fabric is comfortable. I am 5'3".

I wear vests a lot, but this was way too long. Returned.

I love how this fits and the warmth it adds. However, the vest sheds constantly. I'm tired of picking off orange fuzz from my shirts and pants! Very disappointing!

I love the fit of the vest and the color (I got teal), but it feels stiff and scratchy on my neck. I really wanted it to feel cozy and soft.

I kept this because I like the weight of the fleece and the teal color, and the secure zipper pockets. But it was a close call. I really dislike having to carefully remove the LL Bean label from the chest rather than be an unwilling billboard - and on this vest, unlike sweater fleece, it leaves a visible rectangular imprint anyway, even after washing and drying. Speaking of drying, it leaves a LOT of lint in the dryer. I also dislike that horizontal seam at around the waist - and I removed the added "bootlace" zipper pulls because I don't think they go with this vest. So it is useful and comfortable and I guess I'm keeping it, but I miss the truly classic style of my previous LLBean fleece vests.

Seam that runs across middle of vest (above pockets) makes for an unflattering look. Mid to heavy weight fleece more suitable for outside wear than around the house. Zippered pockets a plus.

Great color (purple), warm and well made. Unfortunately too large at chest/big gaps under arms (size XL). Returned.

Not Black! Same good LL Bean quality, but the vest is a dark grayish color. Piping is true black, but the fleece is not. I have several of these. This is the first one that is not true to color.

I wanted a nice warm vest to replace my old LLbean vest, but this one doesn't do it! I really, really dislike the "for no reason seam lines" above the pockets and below the pockets! They spoil the line of the vest and it doesn't fall nice and flat, seems to bunch at the seam lines! Not a flattering design!

This wasn't the usual high quality that one expects from L.L. Bean. The fabric wasn't soft nor did it have a nice drape. And, the prominent LOGO was really unattractive.

I returned vest. This vest was too large. I didn't want to bother trying a small. I was concerned a small would be too tight in the shoulders.

I really wanted to love this vest because of the fabric and great colors, but I returned it because the vest flares at the armholes and has no interior pockets.

I wanted so much to like this - useful fleece, pretty lavender color, LL Bean billboard logo that other reviews said could be (laboriously) removed - but it was cut strangely loose and bunchy around waist and hips. I think because of the large loosely constructed pockets? The fit was fine at shoulders and bust. I was sad to return it - such a pretty color - but off it went. I'm 5'5'' and 130 lbs, ordered my usual Medium.

3 to 4 rating; Great vest in every other way but black looks navy next to other black clothing. I'm sensitive to color shades and can't wear this vest next to true black, and since that's why I bought it (dot dot dot)

I haven't worn this vest much because when it's cold enough to need it my arms get cold too. And if I try to layer with it to keep my arms warm my core gets too hot and sweaty. I like the look of the vest but it isn't very practical.

I liked the color and the feel of this vest. The small I ordered was a little larger than I expected it to be, but I ended up returning it because the arm-holes flared out too much for me. I wanted a vest to wear over tee-shirts to keep my core a little warmer and to stash my keys, I.D., and phone in the pockets. If I wore bulky sweaters, it would have been fine.

It is a nice weight but not a great zipper. I think this vest is not LLBean usual quality & overpriced. I did keep it.

I loved this vest but had to send it back because it was too big for my Petite XS size. Wish it could come in my size.

The lavender color is very pretty. However be aware that the vest runs a full size larger. I always wear a small, but the size small vest was huge. The X-small I reordered fits okay but is still a little boxy. I wish LL Bean would make their clothing more fitted for older athletic women like myself who don't carry extra pounds. Isn't that what LL Bean is all about? Healthy living and the outdoors?

This is very well made , but runs large for a medium.

The vest is terrific, but it runs large. An XS fit me like a Men's med. No issues with the rest of the vest. It is made really well with great quality and durable material. I WISH it fit, I could see it being a staple for me. (The XS petite, Hi-Pile fleece vest fit me much better.)

WIth the odd seem placement, it looked like the old empire waistline. Very unflattering. I returned

I removed the label, the pull tabs on the zippers ,the cinch cord around the bottom, and the loop at the back of the collar. I like this vest very much without those added items and I would have given it 5 starts without them. The color is very nice and the fabric is warm and comfortable.

I am 5'4, 36C, and have a short torso. The regular size is roomy but a bit too long. I am returning for a petite version. Quality seems good.
