I just purchased this item because I thought it was perfect...esp the color however the texture was rough and scratchy...exp around the color....and if I turned it down it would not stay

Fabric felt horrible -- material had a chemical feel. Returned.

If you had a previous Bean vest and thought this would be the same, think again. This one is a box, not fitted. Heavy fabric but not stylish and not styled to wear to office.

I loved the weight of this vest, but it has no inside pockets which is a must for me. Sadly, I returned it.

This is a nice feminine fit. I like the tailoring at the hips.

Used to love LL Bean fleece vests. However, the quality has gone downhill. Waste of time and energy ordering online. Stiff, cheap. Going forward will only purchase in-person

I was disappointed with the arm holes sticking out in the front so the vest is being returned.

Cute color (orange), true to size. It's been washed 3 times and covers my tops in fuzz. Pretty sure it'll all wind up in the lint trap eventually. It's not warm, but to me that's a plus because I only wanted it to have extra pockets.

Good color & fabric but it runs very large. I ordered a Medium/Petite but it was very long & too big under arms. I gave it to a family member.

My husband bought this off the rack just because I smiled when I saw it. I put it on before we got into the car and we drove back to our home less than a hour away. The seat belt was covered in lavender fleece. We were shocked because a large amount of my winter wardrobe is from LL bean. When we returned back home I hung it up in my closet and a few days later pulled an article of clothing next to the vest and it too has lavender fleece material on it as well. So disappointed

I really wanted to love this vest. The design and fabric seemed hopeful. However, the fit was TERRIBLE. The neck opening was way to big--as were the arm holes. It was also too long. (Stick with classics and fit them as such). Very disappointed.

I really wanted to love this vest but am returning it. It's too thin. My LLB vest from years ago is still holding up; it's much thicker and a slightly larger cut.

The style and the shape of this vest was what I wanted. The big problem was that as I tried it on it shed to my shirt to a point that I had to wash it immediately. I checked the label and it said recycled polyester. Does it shed? I definitely didn't want to keep it, and sent it back.

I gave this 2 stars for the overall quality of the garment. The fabric was nice and the brick color very pretty. But unfortunately it had to go back because the armholes were cut way too large and they stuck out strangely at the bottom and bunched in the armpit area. Just not flattering. Disappointing and not up to LLB's usual standards. For sizing purposes: I am 5'4", 106lbs, slender frame. Ordered an XS which fit nicely, other than the armholes, and would have allowed me to wear it over a sweater.

I returned the vest: It was charcoal not black. It didn't have any inside pockets

Pretty color and fun styling but the sizing is weird. I wear a small with llbean. Everything I order is a small. I am 5'4" and 122lbs. This vest was huge on me and strangely proportioned.

It's become slim pickings for women's fleece vests. This style needs serious improvements before it's as perfect as the former Trail Model Vest. The fabric is stiff and not nearly as plush as the Polartec of yore, especially at the neck, which borders on uncomfortable (pokes into the chin). The seam inside the neck is a grosgrain ribbon that feels scratchy against the skin. The arm holes gape AND pucker. That horizontal seam across the middle is an unwanted new feature. It adds bulk and causes the stiff bottom half to flare out. The length is too short and will definitely continue to shrink as all of Bean fleece does, even when washed in cold and air dried. And while the Bean boot lace zipper pulls might have seemed like a cute novelty, I prefer that pulls be dyed to match. That orange is a visual eyesore that significantly cheapens the look and makes it rustic. If I had planned to keep this vest, I'd have removed those pulls. The Muted Purple is a color I love in other Bean styes, but this was not as pretty as the image. I was expecting a dusty mid-toned lavender, but in reality the shade was more muddy and gray, cheapened further by those orange contrasting pulls. I am also so so so tired of bold product placement. Bean's logos used to be more subtle, such as a tone-on-tone "monogram" down near the hip hem. I returned this vest.

it doesn't fit the body snugly, it is too loose in the waist. The armholes are too big.

Size not too accurate. Too long and narrow. If going to be straight should stop at top of hip, If long it needs to flare for hips Color was supposed to be black. It was charcoal. Have returned it.

Not what we wanted. Size was not right. Just not right in general.

I have a LL Bean fleece vest that I bought about 15 years ago and I still love it but I needed a new one. I ordered this one in black. Unfortunately, the color is not black; it's more of a charcoal grey. Also, the seam that goes around it at waist level is very unflattering and makes the vest look frumpy, not stylish. I wish you'd bring back the old style without a seam and in true black. Plus, the older one had inside pockets and this one does not. I returned it and will continue to look for a replacement vest.

I expected the "Muted Purple" to look like the purple in the picture. What I received is so muted that it looks more like a gray. Very disappointed.

Initially, it's great, but very soon loses its shape and solidity. Stretches and doesn't rebound. Won't buy again. Have the same complaint about the jacket. Sleeves now too short after laundering. Makes me wonder about the quality of the fabric.

This looks cheap because of the LLBean advertising on the chest. I am returning it.

Nice looking vest, but after a few months of wearing, the fabric pills and looks worn-out.
