I needed a new warm but not bulky jacket for a trip to Colorado! This was perfect for hiking and snowshoeing with one extra layer underneath when it was 12F. Fashionable colors and so useful with a hood!

Fits very well, looks great, so lightweight but still nice and warm in temps in the 20s.

I love this jacket for when we travel - vacations. It packs well and it's great for layering in the winter. The jacket alone will not keep you warm enough below 30 but with a sweater or sweatshirt below it is just right for travel in the car or shopping in stores, you won't get overheated. It's lightweight too - not heavy on your shoulders. If you were to be outdoors for an extended period of time it may not be warm enough. I bought a second one as well.

Love this jacket. I use it as a layering jacket since it has a great hood and is light weight and cozy. It's very warm as a layer but not as a stand alone jacket in our Finger Lakes winter climate. Perhaps as a spring or early fall single layer here. I get lots of compliments on the beautiful, red color. I wanted to purchase the blue however it was on backorder and didn't want to wait. I'm glad I went with the red though. I also took advantage of the sale price which made it a more justifiable purchase... Can't say enogh great things about this jacket!

I ordered XL-P and it fits well. I prefer petite sizes in jackets so that the sleeve length is not too long. The torso length of this jacket comes down to my mid hip, but does not quite cover the bottom of my bum. The gray with yellow trim color looks sharp. I love that it does keep me warm for being so lightweight. It's warm enough for near freezing temperatures. I would likely wear a warmer coat for below freezing temperatures. Others have complained about the hood, but I have no issue with it. I have also found it protects from cold (above freezing) winds. Happy with the purchase.

Love everything about it. The blue is so pretty. Fits well with enough room to layer underneath. Would have one in every color if they were less money. I have walked outside in 35 degree weather and was warm with just a long sleeve top underneath. Your body heats up quickly when you are moving with this on.

Love this jacket. I bought it after buying the similar vest. It's a great late fall weight and I'm now wearing it with the vest for winter wear.

This is such an easy jacket to wear. And it really squashes down nicely to stuff into my purse. Looks great, too!

The color and fit of this jacket are great. The blue is gorgeous, and the slim cut is nice because it gives more of a curved fit on the waist, which I like- it's not boxy. I probably could have gotten away with a small, but I like to wear light-weight sweaters underneath, so the medium leaves room to be able to do that without being too big. I love that it's not a puffy jacket. I have plenty of those already!

It was just what I needed if I had to travel north in the wintertime It folds up small enough to fit in my purse. I can unfold and and put on in a few minutes.

I love this jacket! It was comfortable in warm and cold climates. Very lightweight. I was in the snow and it kept me warm and dry.

I bought this as an alternative to Patagonia's nano puff, and so far I love it. I was a little worried that the grey colorway would be closer to white, and much shiner, but it was not the case. I purchased a small, and it fits great, it's roomy enough that I can layer, but not overly baggy.Like other reviewers mentioned, the back does run long, it covers my backside, but I don't have an issue with this. It's kept me nice and warm in 20-degree weather.

My husband and I bought these packable jackets for a trip we are taking in February to Bhutan and India. We're told that the temps in Bhutan will be chilly and warm in India, so we need to pack accordingly. In addition, we're limited to 30 lbs of check-in luggage, plus 15 lbs carryon. Therefore, lightweight but warm is essential for Bhutan. My jacket fits very comfortable over just a shirt, and is OK over a fleece jacket. If I were planning to wear it over a sweater all the time, I'd have gotten a medium. I've been wearing it on mid-40 degree days (NYC), and it's fine. With a fleece underneath, it should be perfect for Bhutan. I have no issue with the hood as other reviewers have written. Mine seems to be just right. And it really does pack up into the inside pocket. My husband also is pleased with his jacket.

I was recently in Switzerland and we went to the top of a mountain. It had snowed the night before, the temperature was 5 degrees and the wind was blowing. Even though the coat was very light weight, I was quite warm and didn't notice the cold. I am very pleased with the coat

This jacket is attractive and very flattering, and it fits my shoulders and shorter arms perfectly! The blue color is absolutely stunning! It is so lightweight, yet warm enough for St. Louis winters. I will take it with me everywhere, especially on trips where bulky jackets become a nuisance to lug around or pack. This parka also fits in my tote bag along with all my other stuff! How versatile is that!

From the moment it arrived I was thrilled. I love the colour, the fit, and the hood. It's lightweight yet warm and holds up in a light rain which is important as temp is too cold for just a raincoat. I tell people daily how much I love this coat.

Pretty fit, the grey is a cool color. The hood is snug but not binding and does not block my vision or rest on my brows. If you do find this an issue, zip the jacket up all the way. This will ensure a complete, and correct, fit. The fill is light and warm but with a base layer underneath as suggested it is warmer. I feel this was a good purchase overall.

I really love this coat! Its light as a feather but truly does keep me warm and the wind out. It is my go to coat during this fall season and would highly recommend this to all.

Warm and light weight- just what I want for a trip. It'a easy to pack yet warm and comfortable. I love it. Also the hood is good if caught in a shower.

I purchased this jacket and the Mountain Bound Reversible Jacket hoping to pick between the two. I ended up keeping both because I loved how they both fit and felt. This jacket is extremely comfortable and lightweight. I ordered the XXS and for reference I'm about 105 pounds and five foot 6 inches. I purchased the red currant/brown color and I love how unique and classy the color is, very vibrant. The coat is warm enough to keep me comfortable during cold Michigan days and yet light enough to not be a burden. Awesome coat LL Bean, and thank you for the nice choices in size! Love that I can find a coat that fits my body type! I also really love the LL Bean logo on this coat.

This jacket is great - light yet warm just as advertised. It fits well and the adjustment toggles on the lower sides help it fit closer to the body for my frame. I love the hood as well.

Love this coat. It looks great on, not boxy at all. the marine blue is such a great color that I get compliments on the color all the time. It is cool and light when you need it to be on the lovely winter/spring days in New England, and it provides warmth when the temps are on the chillier side. It also holds up great to wind and being by the water. It is super light in weight. Love Love this jacket. Loved the staff that was so helpful in finding one for me when it was backordered. Go ll bean!!!! You Rock!!
