This is a very attractive coat. I've been wanting one just like this. Loved the berry color, the fit, the hood, the length. Only problem? It's like paper thin and offers zero warmth. I wore it in November when it was unusually warm, like the 50's. I was shivering. I returned it but very sadly.

Puffer is not puffy and it is not warm enough even as a layer. This jacket is not worth $200. Looks good fits good but does not function as described. I will keep it but I am very disappointed in the quality!

I don't know how this can possibly be sold as a winter jacket. It is paper-thin and provided no protection. I went for a brisk walk with my dog and it isn't even below freezing out but my arms were cold. I can't imagine wearing this jacket when it actually becomes cold.

I was led to believe by the description that this jacket would be warm. Although it does block the wind, I have found that I need to wear multiple layers under the jacket to keep warm--even in 50-60 degree Fall weather. I'm glad I bought a larger size so that a thick sweater or sweatshirt will fit underneath. Definitely not made for Winter weather. Not worth $189!!

Love the style and torso fit of jacket. Very disappointed that sleeves are very long for a petite. I tried on my petite large LLBean jacket from last year and those sleeves were perfect length. It had been made in Thailand also. What happened????

I purchased this jacket due to all the positive reviews. The first one that arrived had a defective zipper, but the cut of the jacket was great; plenty of room in the body for a sweater and room to spare in the hip area. Received the replacement today (10-22). The zipper works fine; the body/hip area is cut very
snug and no way would I have room for a sweater. Disappointed in the quality of this item as I normally do not have issue with LLBean clothing as their Petites run true to size. Have to return.

Not Bean quality. Too light in weight. Quilting does nothing to help the design.

I got this coat as a gift for Christmas. It is not warm enough. I wore it when it was 18 degrees and when it was 42 degrees. Both times I was too cold on a 25 minute walk. I am also disappointed that the coat is made in Thailand. I always thought LL Bean items were made in the USA.

I packed this jacket for Iceland trip in summer. It did not keep me warm even when temp was in low 50s and 60s. The jacket is true to size though.

We went yesterday for a one day trip, it was nice and sunny day, no wind, temps 40-45 F. and the coat was not warm enough, I was so cold, even with the layers I had on me. This coat has a good fit, very light, but I am going to return it, I need a better coat for the fall, and it is my first experience with LLBean coats, I will looking for another brand, most likely.

I love the color, the style, and the idea of this jacket, but it did not live up to expectations. It's not nearly as warm as claimed, and the outer shell is way too thin. It tears very easily, I had a small dog jump up to greet me and ripped right through the outer shell. Already has holes in the pockets from using them. For the price, it's an expensive one season jacket, even if you don't mind sewing it up a few times over a few months of use.

It was a case of skewed expectations. It was lovely, but only suitable for indoor wear in the dead of winter. At $150-170, I expected a winter coat.
I bought a polar parka the next week and returned the lovely jacket.

While I really like the jacket, and it has become my go-to jacket when hiking, so I don't need many layers, I'm not a big fan of such a long length. I'd prefer it hit below the waist, at the top of the hips rather than below the hips.

Why oh why did llbean redesign this great jacket? The updated insulation could have been added to the previous design and been great. This design is way too long. It would be great for a tall woman but at 5'8" it was too long on me to be useful for hiking. Hopefully llbean will change the design back but in the meantime, I won't be wearing this. The green is not as pretty as it shows online. It is lighter and more blue green.
