Last year I purchased the packaway jacket without the hood for myself and my husband. We wear them all the time. But we've had so much rain this winter that I really wanted a hooded jacket so finally purchased this one and have been making good use of it. I like that it's just long enough, has lots of zippers, is warm enough and I can wear layers under it as well. I bought the blue and it's a great color. The hoodless one from last year is the grey with yellow and I got lots of compliments on that one as well. My only negative is the price but I waited to get this one on sale as well as using Bean Bucks so I am very satisfied.

I was tired of coats that weighed a ton just to stay warm, so I tried this on a whim. While it wouldn't be warm enough (for me) below 20 degrees without a substantial layer underneath, I found it performed well at 35+ (F). It is quite light, very comfortable, covers the butt, doesn't create static, and the hood and sleeves have elastic which really keeps the wind out. Would purchase again!

I absolutely love this jacket. It is very light weight and thin but warm. It wouldn't replace a ski parka or anything, but it's warmer than I expected. I got mine in XL to be able to layer. It's so comfortable and warm alone that I don't need to. It is not waterproof but repels a little bit of rain. I also really love the blue color. The outer material is a little delicate, so I'd wear a shell if I thought it might get snagged. I don't imagine it would hold up to heavy friction or tree branches.

Really like this jacket. it is light weight but warm. Blocks the wind. I especially appreciate the hood and the way the zipper can go up to cover my neck.
I had ordered a large but it was to snug under a sweater. The XL is a bit loose but I want that for movement.
Washed it once and hung to air dry. Perfect

Love this jacket! Great color & I have another one in green I bought on sale! You can roll it up & it still looks good. I'm a wrinkle freak & iron everything. No need with this jacket. It's perfect for layering with a sweater. It's warm but not suffocating when you shop or drive.

I recently bought this jacket in PL, decided it was too big on the bottom, exchanged it for a PM, which fits much better, more stylish, more fitted. Sleeves are a bit bulky, but I can layer underneath. I have 2 other jackets w/o hoods, older style, boxy. This one is more stylish, now that I have the correct size. I reviewed the PL already, but this is a better fit. Only think I haven't tried out yet is how warm it will be for Cape Cod winters, & how waterproof. I like that it is lightweight. I also got the sweater down jacket, & am trying to decide between them. Both are fitted, have hoods, PM, blue. Decisions, decisions!

I absolutely love it! In fact, it's my second one! I bought my first PrimaLoft jacket several years ago and I loved it so much, I got a second one this year! I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and I wear it Autumn, Winter, and Spring! I love how light weight it is and yet warm. I also love how compact it is! I use it for snowshoeing or going to church... I wear it everyday and everywhere!

This jacket is great! I wear it walking the dogs every day! It is light weight and comfortable! We recently were in frigid temps with minus 22 wind chills and I wore my new jacket and was comfortable!

I love this coat and have several colors! I use it almost all winter and love the lightweight feel and packability. I wore it in the recent polar vortex weather with a few layers underneath and it still kept me warm! Would like to see more colors like a purple!

I bought this for travel. It is light, but very warm. It kept me warm & comfortable on the plane. Then, I stood out in the cold (20 F) for 15 minutes in Detroit past midnight waiting for a hotel shuttle and I was not cold at all (and I'm always cold). It packs up into its own pocket and can be stowed in a carry-on. My only 2 complaints: the hood was too big for me, but I do have a small head; the sleeves were about 3 inches too long (I rolled up), but this is always a problem for my short arms when I buy any long sleeve item. I liked it so much that my husband bought the same jacket for himself and he loves it too.

I'm a medium petite, but bought a large petite, as I don't like snug fits and want to be able to add a heavy sweater if it's very cold. The fit was perfect, once I shortened the sleeves. I live in Dallas and we're having some really cold spells, but this jacket keeps me warm--even without a sweater! Walking dogs in below freezing weather, I'm still toasty. Paid full price and it's worth it every penny.

When I opened the package, of this thinly folded jacket, I thought "Oh no! What have I done! This will never keep me warm!" I was so wrong! This Saturday I wore it snowshoeing on the Paul Smith College VIC x country/snowshoe trails - and I was sooooo cozy....and I have NEVER had a perfect hood before. I pulled it up over my wool hat - perfect vision all around. Great investment- I expect it to last forever and then some!

Finally found the right jacket. Exactly what I've been looking for and tried from elsewhere. Worth the money as less expensive coats lack quality.

I bought this as a gift and my granddaughter (16) loves it! I have the one without the hood and can't believe how warm it is. Great jacket!

I love this jacket - I am always cold, usually wearing 3 layers plus a jacket. With this jacket I can wear a medium weight top and still be warm. Looking to purchase another one in a different color

Women's PrimaLoft Packaway Hooded Jacket is great fit even with light fleece under layer, lightweight, waterproof & easily packed into its own pocket is a super plus! Warm enough for 30-40 degree weather or colder with under layer. Great for errands, walks etc. Only negative for me is for price I wish it had a 2 way zipper!

Jacket is light weight but warm. I bought the light blue color and really like it - very bright in the midst of winter. Love the built in hoodie, which is easy to put on and off. Overall, I'm pleased with this jacket.

I love this jacket. It's lightweight, warm, seems to block wind, and looks great. I typically wear a small in other outdoor brands but exchanged this for an extra small. I find it still roomy enough for a sweater if I need one. I haven't had the opportunity to use it in truly cold weather, but I wear it often in damp, breezy, 40 degree weather to walk dogs, with a light sweater or even just a long sleeve t-shirt under. I am a bit cool at the beginning but within ten minutes I am unzipping the jacket slightly for venting purposes. So, if you're stationary, you may want an extra layer, but if you're moving, it's warm as toast.

I am thin with long arms and torso and find the xs a perfect fit. LOVE the light gray color so I can wear it in spring. LL Bean, keep offering light colored items! I'm in NH and with the cold, dark winter, I appreciate lighter happier colors. Plus, I plan on wearing this jacket in the spring and even cooler summer nights. This jacket is perfect for wearing in the car on long drives to stay warm without bulk. Nice deep zippered pockets a huge plus!
