The ultrasound coat I got for my husband is so warm it's a wonderful jacket probably the nicest one he's ever had I love LL Bean.

LOVE this jacket!! I have the women's in the same color. Got this for my 16 yr old son. He is super happy with it. It feels light but very warm.

Just love my new Men's Ultralight 850 Down Hooded Jacket. It has all of the features I was looking for; adjustable hood, cinch cuffs, adjustable waist, zippered chest pocket, zippers on the hand pockets, and just the right weight; not too light and not to warm. The color green is right up my alley. I use it both as a middle layer and an outer layer.

I bought this for a late November trip to Iceland, which included horse riding, a five day bus tour, hiking across the Vatnajkull glacier and exploring an ice cave there, among other things. We had one day where it rained constantly, another with snow, and sometimes we were walking headlong into driving cold winds, yet with a Merino base layer underneath, I stayed warm & dry the whole time. Wearing this jacket feels like wearing a warm & comfy blanket, and it's very lightweight, so putting it on & taking it off at every stop was not a problem. It keeps water out & dries very quickly, and has great pockets too. I highly recommend.

I have several 850 Bean down jackets along with several "premium" 800 down jackets. Lay them side by side and you can't tell the difference because there isn't any. The only difference is the Bean jacket has a better zipper and cost less.

Very good jacket for late Fall/early Winter in the mid-atlantic area. Can be worn by itself or with a layer for those colder days. No cold spots and draw cords help keep out the wind. Pocket are large for small storage items : gloves , pull cap, phone. Feels good to ware size wise and in size I found one size up from your normal to be good. Nylon shell and Down can handle a light rain for a medium period of time. Zippers seem to be good and easy to work. Jacket shell is very light but also thin and will not handle snags. Makes an ideal everyday city jacket but a shell should be used for woods. Owned only two months and will post more later down the trail.

Jacket is extremely light weight yet warm. In cold weather a sweater helps. Great for keeping warm during a walk and lightweight driving a car. It seems well made. The hood keeps your head warm. I recommend it.

Most comfortable winter coat ice ever had. Great warth without a lot of bulk. Runs a little on the snug side so suggest maybe sizing up.

Incredibly light and warm. I'm not really a hood person but the hood has already become quite handy. Easy for layering because it's so light.

This was the first winter jacket I purchased in over 20 years since the last LL Bean jacket. Bought the jacket for a trip to Iceland and it didn't disappoint. Warm the entire trip.

Great jacket. Light. Warm. I like having a warm hood. I got into some thorns when hiking and they didn't tear or scratch the fabric. I like the angle of the pockets phone, keys and stuff don't fall out when you're sitting down. Looks great and feels even better.

Great winter jacket. Both my wife and I have them. For reference, I wear a medium for all LLBean shirts, and they are generously roomy. I had to exchange my coat for a Large, as the Medium was tight across my chest.

I am a bigger guy and most warmer jackets are not comfortable when driving but with this one it doesn't feel as I have it on. I liked it so much I bought one for my wife.

One of the best investments I have ever made. I live in Wisconsin and really get chilled to the bone. I hate it. This jacket is the warmest I have ever worn. I only regret not buying one sooner!

Almost perfect, it just needs pit zips for ventilation when you're hiking.
