I haven't had that weird coat since I was 10 years old and boy am I happy I do now. An incredibly warm light weight coat and I just love it!!

This jacket is well made, and looks classy! There's been absolutely no feathers escaping anywhere, and I don't foresee that happening. It fits me perfectly! I'm 6'3" and weigh 160, and the Medium-Tall is a great fit! I highly recommend buying one of these!

Bought this as part of multi layered dress for traveling in Norway above the Arctic Circle. Super compact when rolled up in my suitcase. Performed exceptionally well over two base layers and under a rain/moisture barrier. Fit true to size.

surprisingly warm considering the light weight. I think the down filling makes all the difference. But then it is an LL Bean after all.

Didn't understand ultralight till I put it on, the 850 down is tremendous it's like wearing a jacket.

This is a very light jacket but very warm in temperatures around freezing. Will be great for trips as it is foldable and light. Highly recommend.

It's the mid weight I have been looking for - not the sweater weight that can't keep you warm in January and not the bulky too much super warm coat. Fit is great I'm too big for a medium and too small for a large - I know there are plenty of us out there!

I bought different variations of this jacket for the men in my family. My husband who is about 6'1" and 185lbs never can find a jacket that falls at his belt line, or ideally, a little below, until this!got him a Tall XL He is in love with it and wears it every day now. He likes the fact it keeps him warm, as exemplified last week walking ten blocks in NYC in single digit temperatures. It's perfect for Commuting between Maine and NYC, not too bulky on the plane, fits easily in a backpack. Bought a lighter version for my son living in San Francisco, a Tall Medium for all the same reasons and one a little heavier for my son who spends every week flying all over for work, his in an XL Admittedly, I was skeptical that something so lightweight could keep each of them warm

So far, so good. Coat is very warm down to single-digit temperatures.

I love this jacket.It is so light as a feather yet it keeps me warm thanks to the ultralight 850 down insulation.I wear it under a winter coat and I'm good to -15 degrees.I give the ultra light jacket a high rating and I consider a wise purchase for anyone.

Great coat. Second coat like this! Be careful bc fabric does rip but so warm and light weight.

Love the zip pockets. Great for shoving under the bleachers for a wrestling match. Won't lose my stuff.

I ordered two of these jackets for Christmas gifts and they both were a perfect fit and both that received them loved them. As always, LL Bean never disappoints.

I was looking for confirmation about my orders tracking and explained to the customer service representative that the Plattsburgh, NY winters can be merciless for days on end. I even told that guy I already have the "Wind Challenger" (and it's the absolute best coat Ive ever owned). But honestly I was just asking because I was DYING for my new coat. It was in my possession in less than 24 hours-and it was clearly rushed. The gear is the best of the best-and so is this company's customer service as well! You guys are phenominal!!!! 10000 Thank Yous!!!!

I ordered this men's jacket as I love the teal blue color and it wasn't offered in women's (in any style) but it's still a slim fit. It works great as I like the length & there is plenty of room in the shoulders and chest for layering. 3 Exterior zippered pockets & insulated hood are appreciated too!

This is a nice, warm coat, and I like how you can cinch up the hood and the waist for a really snug fit when it's cold and windy. Also I like the exterior zip chest pocket -- very handy.

I absolutely loved this jacket. Wearing it did not make me look like a marshmallow - it is sleek, lightweight and everything it was advertised to be. I wore this at the Christmas markets on the Danube and never felt so comfortable! What a great garment!
