Great ski jacket. The light insulation cuts down on the number of layers you'll need.

Very lightweight and comfortable. Quickly became the warmest jacket I own! Love the outer shell that is abrasion resistant for those mornings I am out chopping firewood.

Lightweight, warm enough, good fit, seems like the zipper could be a little more heavy duty.

The reviews for the jacket were spot on for the most part. It's amazing how warm it is despite being so light and feeling rather thin. I really appreciate how it's not bulky like a down jacket yet gives you complete warmth and is waterproof. This jacket is made for nasty weather! Looks sharp and feels great on. Hangs lower than the traditional packable puffer which adds to its ability to keep you warm and serve you well in winter sports like skiing and playing in the snow with the kids! Great jacket that does it all! For super cold conditions, add a layer with a pullover or thicker shirt and it can handle anything. In temps in the 30s-40s, only a shirt or even a t-shirt is fine!

Bought this to replace a worn out 3-in-1 jacket and was curious about the Aerogel insulation. It's way better than the jacket it replaced. It really does provide lightweight warmth. I've worn it in temperatures in the high 20's and 30's with a sweater underneath and it's very comfortable. I'm not sure how it would handle frigid temperatures, but I have a warmer parka for that purpose. The fit of a large is just right for me - comfortable through the shoulders and hips and not too long in the sleeves. The product description doesn't mention it - there zippered vents in the underarms. I never use this feature, but they don't bother me either. Overall great jacket and would highly recommend it.

This is a great jacket - so light weight and yet warm it feels like wearing a "big hug" - I love that it is long enough to cover up an untucked flannel shirt...once you get the hood adjusted that is great too (unadjusted it falls over your face) - thus far kept me warm walking in 28 degrees with not too much layering necessary

The fit and finish of this jacket is amazing. Very comfortable to wear and is extremely warm for its very thin construction. Highly recommended!

I bought this jacket for my son who recently moved to Pa from living in the south for many years. He wore the jacket out deer hunting, kept him warm and dry! He loves it!

This jacket is everything I want from a jacket. It's prefect for chilly Fall days, does a fine job of blocking wind, and it's light weight and thin (yet warm) insulation makes jacket a pleasure to wear.

I bought this jacket because I take long winter walks. I love this jacket for so many reasons, first off it's light weight, you can't feel your wearing anything. It's functional, it so many pockets. It's packaway easy and the hood doesn't fly off your head when it's windy and cold. The cords on the jackets for the hood, and waist, ensures cold wind and rain doesn't get inside. It's very warm, sometimes so warm I have to open the vents to let the heat out. A very well made product! I love it! Nice job LL Bean!

I have only worn this in 40-50 degree weather to this point with a thin layer underneath and have been beyond warm & comfortable. If your intent is to wear this in colder more harsh conditions you will want a thermal base layer. The jacket is great in that it looks light weight but operates as a mid weight coat. Rain beads up and slides right off the coat and is legitimately water tight. The coat will work well even in spring and summer rains with just a shirt on underneath and there are vents in the arm pits to provide ventilation. Spend the extra money on this coat's versatility and adaptability. It will likely end up replacing 1-2 other coats you have in your closet for other purposes. The coat also pairs well with either a casual look in jeans, wearing with other outdoor gear, and even in business casual attire.

The jacket exceeded expectations. The length is very much appreciated. The color is deeper and richer than pictured. The jacket fits well and is comfortable. Overall, a great jacket.

My husband loves LL Bean products and this jacket is one of the tops. He loved it! The XL Tall fit him perfectly and it is so well made it will last for years, and all those pockets and zippers...he's thrilled. So even though it was supposed to be a Christmas present, he got it early when it was pouring one day and he needed a good rain jacket. We're some of your best customers and love all your products! My husband just got this jacket. The winter hasn't really begun, so we can't review based on warmth factor. Things he likes... the sleeves are perfect for his long arms and have a nice inner microfiber cuff with the velcro tightener on the outside layer, the jacket is very lightweight and it is long enough to cover his behind, and he loves the color combo (graphite)

Bought this coat for a trip to Iceland in October 2021. Wore it daily while we were there, and it held up against the temperatures, wind, and rain each day. Very happy with this coat!
