My previous LLB coat purchases have all been down insulated and dark colored. Since I plan to walk more, probably in twilight hours, I wanted something that would be waterproof, lighter weight, able to be taken off and folded up if things turned out warmer along the way, but -- my prime qualification -- more visible than my plain black or grey coats. SO I bought the "bronze" color.
I chose it for safety, not style. It is not quite the bright "safety-patrol" yellow the website depicts, but in fact a little less dramatic, which is fine with me. I did not expect any compliments, but I've gotten a couple. It is a nice weight, cut a little slimmer, a has a good number and placement of pockets. As always, I strain for a complaint to be made -- I'm afraid I've been spoiled by having two-way zippers, and if one wears a coat when driving, the ability to run the zipper up a little at the bottom wgeb you sit and reduce stress in the fit would be nice -- but that is far from being a killer criticism. Haardly even an inconvenience. After all, I'm calling it a walking coat. Overall I am more pleased than I expected to be.

This jacket is light weight but extremely warm. On a windy day you stay nice and warm . The breeze does not come through.

This coat is lightweight and warm. It is the perfect all around coat and keeps you nice and dry. The temperature rating is close as I have worn this with a mid layer around 30 degrees and was warm, but this does not replace a parka or ski jacket for anything freezing. That being said, I wear this jacket for nearly all temperatures over 30 and love the versatility.

I purchased this coat after trying it on in the store because how comfortable it was. I was looking for something that I could wear snowboarding and as a general winter coat. And after having it for a month I love it, and have recommended it to other looking for a new coat.
I love that I can a ton of layer under it and still have a wide range of motion and not feel restricted. I put on a thick quarter zip and a 600 fill puffer coat to really test the stretch and comfort and was impressed.

I purchased this coat just before Christmas as a gift to myself. So impressed by the fit and warmth without the bulk, I bought another one for my wife! We then field tested this coat on a trip to Lake Placid NY where temps were between -10F to -18F and this coat did not disappoint!! As frequent travelers, we also like how packable the coat is as it folds into the inner pouch and can be put into carry on bags or storage compartments of many vehicles. Just unzip the pouch, pull the jacket out and fluff it out and the wrinkles will be gone after 5-10 minutes when wearing. Love this coat!!

Fits perfectly, and is surprisingly warm even though it's thin and not bulky. I get compliments often.

I usually wait a "break-in" period before writing a review, but I just couldn't hold off. This is possibly the best jacket I've ever invested in!
Fit: I'm fairly lean, 15.5-32/33 shirt, last I knew. I went out walking this morning with just a long-sleeve T this morning and it was a little roomy; I could probably put a thin sweatshirt or sweater under it as well. The sleeves are the perfect length, and the hem hits about 4-5 inches below the hip bone crest.
Function: It was a little below 40 this morning, and I'm glad I only had that t-shirt! I look forward to giving it a good test at 15-20 degrees, but at first blush, the insulation effectiveness is VERY impressive. I only noticed afterwards that there are zippered armpit vents, which I will test out. Two hand pockets and two chest pockets, an interior "stuff" pocket, and an open-top "glove" pocket provide great cargo capacity. The hood covers without impacting vision.
I love this jacket so much that I'm honestly considering buying another "just in case." Here in southern New England, I'm sure I could get use out of it at least 5 months of the year if not more.

Comfort, fit and performance are all excellent. I'm 6'3" so I'm very happy there's a tall size. I especially like the zipper coming up and sealing the hood. My only complaint is that the zipper slider is surprisingly small and it does not slide easily.

The coat is both water repellent, warm, and comfortable - looks great too. Definitely good to wear as low as mid 20's. I sized up to xxl for layering. Very happy with the purchase

I wanted something I could wear alpine skiing. A light shell, with good water repelling characteristics, and some warmth. It's a quality jacket, with some nice features, like a little hood stiffener to help keep its shape. Self-stuffing sack. Soft cuffs.
Three things would make it better, a waist cinch, a snow skirt, and a flap to cover the main zipper. How could a rain jacket not have a flap over the zipper? Oh, maybe a 4th, how about a small zippered pocket on the upper left sleeve for a RFID ski pass.
It's about 10F in my pic, with windchills even lower. I have a thin puffer and turtleneck under the jacket and am completely warm.

I have winter jackets for extreme cold and some for warmer winter days. (30s-40s) However I have been looking for an "everyday" winter jacket. The Waterproof PrimaLoft Packaway really fits the bill. I live in the Boston area and we get real winters. Cold, snow, rain, and wind and plenty of it. This jacket is extremely light weight and very comfortable. Even driving the car. While I too question it's rating to -25, it does keep you warm and is very wind resistant. It feels like it's too light to be warm, but I never feel cold wearing it. Not sure I'd spend a lot of time at below zero with it, but down into the teens it does the job. I've had it now for about a month and I've worn it every day but one. It was 5 degrees that day, and like I said, I have a jacket (or two) for that day. Haven't used it in heavy rain, but it seems to repel water very well. So far, nothing but good things to say.

I bought one of these 3 years ago, but the zipper went bad. I sent it back to get fixed, but basically got a brand new one instead of a repair. Very light, but very warm. The zipper on this version of the coat is much sturdier. Loved the first version - love this version, too!

Great coat to layer under. Owned this jacket for 1 year now.
Have worn bicycling from -5 to +30 and the jacket performs great. Drys quickly too. Plenty of pockets for all of your essential gear.

Retains heat well yet incredibly lightweight. Can pack up to the size of a football which makes traveling with it a breeze. Abundant zippers for storage.

I was looking for yellow. It is not yellow I expected. However, its color is noble and reserved. I like it.

When a black color became available, I bought my third Waterproof Primaloft Parkway Jacket. Doesn't easily show dirt and coffee spills, wipe up nicely with a little water. It is sure useful to have one to wear, one in the wash and one clean on short notice. I wear them a lot in the winter for comfort in a now cooler house and very chilly early morning and late evening dog walks. Great for Northern California mild winters and keeps me warm with layers on sub-40 degree mornings. Love all the pockets for dog treats, leashes, gloves, glasses, phones and PPP masks. This jacket is indeed waterproof. The extended lined collar and lined hood enhance cold wind protection. The only negative: have yet to figure out how the "parkway" pocket works. Very light weight and comfortable. You get a lot for your money.

Great coat with plenty of pockets. Would have preferred that coat included a collar and detachable hood but unfortunately the hood is not removable.

Purchased the XLT (6/6" 250lbs) and it was true to size. Can comfortably wear with additional layers which makes this an option even with very cold temperatures. So far have worn it in windy conditions and mid twenties and was very comfortable. Very lightweight as well, I suspect I am going to wear this jacket a lot.
