I liked the fit and I liked the look, but it just was not warm enough. I ended up buying the 850 down filled sweater jacket and it's awesome. They are both packable, which is great, but if you want to be warm in 40 weather, this is not the jacket for you.

The XXXL size is actually a XXL fit. I like to layer my outwear therefore, I ordered an XXXL and I was disappointed it was just an XXL retagged as XXXL. Also, the jacket is over priced when compared to the competition's comparable offerings, in my opinion. LLBean is a good company however, on this item, I take a pass.

This coat fits really well, perfect length in the sleeves and body with a modern cut. Neck is a little too high and loose. Temperature it is good for 50 degrees and up. Any cooler with wind and you'll be cold as it is not wind proof and insulation is light particularly in upper back/shoulders area.

Size runs small. Get one size bigger than their size chart. Very light weight, quite expensive.

Fabric seems a little flimsy. Not like the one ordered previously.

Nice and warm and very packable. But also, not very durable. After only a couple of weeks, threads have come loose and are now hanging from the fabric. I miss the durability of LL Bean clothing from not that long ago.

I love this jacket. It's great for cool weather, and you can layer over and under it. But the outer fabric is extremely fragile and tears much too easily. I wear it for hiking, because I can pack it away when I warm up, but even brushing up against a twig can tear it. It's already torn 3 times and I have had to patch it.

I purchased this jacket as part of my winter hike layering system. I had been wearing an earlier version of this jacket happily for a number of years and it just started to wear out so I purchased this jacket as a replacement about two years ago. Unfortunately, the threads starting unraveling from one of the pocket zippers so the zipper has come apart. Of course with the new return rules, I own the problem. I guess that I wil lhave to look elsewhere next time.

Much thinner then I expected. We ended up returning it for a thicker, warmer jacket. This item is more a top layer for a cool day, doesn't seem like it would be much use for a cold day.

Out of all the puffer jackets I looked at online, this L.L. Bean was my favorite in terms of both style and detail. And since I own several other L.L. Bean products, I didn't think twice about ordering the jacket. But I was taken back when the coat arrived because there is literally no insulation at all. This is essentially an overpriced windbreaker. The jacket does exhibit good overall quality, nice attention to detail and fits me perfectly. But at $169, it's simply too expensive for what you actually get. This works well in 50 degree temperatures when wearing a sweatshirt underneath. But don't make the mistake of believing that it will work in colder conditions. It simply doesn't offer adequate insulation and at this price point, it's just too expensive for what you actually get. The online product image gave me the impression that the jacket was better insulated. My mistake.

The product does what it says it does. It's light weight and warm and the XL fits me well. But the cuffs are just a thin piece of elastic instead of a substantial 3" cuff that firmly grips your wrist. It's disappointing for a $169 jacket. These are the same cuffs that are on my LLBean fleece jacket. Bad design.

Good jacket. But sleeves are about an inch too short. Body could be an inch longer, too. I really hate when manufacturers skimp on the length of a tall just to save money.

I just received this jacket, my first impression is it is a light piece of cloth but I need to give it some time once i start wearing it and the weather here on Long Island turns cooler. But no matter even if I find it to be a good garment it is NOT WORTH THE COST!!!THE PRICE SHOULD BE LOWER.

Normally x large is very roomy on me. This was too tight. It just barely fit. When I exhaled them zipper failed. I'm in the process of losing more weight but I'll have to lose 20 lbs to have it fit right.

This jacket fits me fine, in a large. Workmanship is good, the only issue it that it has too little insulation. Really just feels like two layers of nylon. Feels more like a windbreaker. I always wonder how a product can make it all the way through design to the manufacturing phase without someone speaking up about an obvious shortcoming. I don't know how much money LL Bean saves by scrimping on the insulation, but as a percentage of the total cost of making, transporting, and selling this jacket, it would only be a small percentage additional cost to make it a usable jacket by doubling the amount of insulation.

This is the second jacket I have purchased. Love the pack ability of it, however this one is much smaller than my first one. They are both the same size, XL Tall, but the first one has more room! This jacket is tight! I saw a review that said it ran small, but this this is no way an XL in the body. Sleeves and length are fine but for this jacket to fit right I need to lose 25 to 30 lbs. Funny thing is my old jacket (3 years old) has fit fine and has plenty of room, much better than my new one. If it wasn't old and beat up I wouldn't be looking to replace it. Thinking about sending it back and trying again in the fall when they have a new lot. Disappointing for LL Bean.

It's a cold night. The mind races. You think about your knife; the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sun up. Sleep tight, mates, in your cozy primaloft packaway jacket....... very warm, a little small, terrible color (deep blue sapphire), right price of $50 at the Burlington MA outlet.

The fit was great, the quality was great. The temperature rating was terrible. Not everybody buys coats planning on just snowshoeing or running or some other Very strenuous activity. I would read it about a 45 jacket

I wear a large size, and this jacket fits everywhere except across the back below the shoulders. Very tight with just a long sleeve T shirt on. An XL would be too large everywhere else to gain more shoulder/back space. Disappointed.

this is my 3rd Packaway. The design is different that the older jackets I've had. Sizing is good but quality in not up to par. I wore the heck out of the 2 older jackets and they wore great, no problems. This new jacket is showing wear signs with very, very little use! Nylon exterior material and stitching show slight fraying....disappointed.
