Fits as expected. Thought it would be warmer, even when wearing layers. Packs well.

nice looking jacket. Extremely lightweight with good warmth for weight. However, it is not a down jacket. It's not a synthetically insulated parka. It is a lighter mid layer. Sort of warm but not really very warm.

All of the jackets, shirts and sweatshirts I have bought from LL Bean have been The Large Regular size. This jacket run so small I had to return it for an Extra Large.

As warm as expected. Fits well and looks sharp. Concerned that there is already some fraying on the front stitching (with normal wear, nothing out of the ordinary) after less than a month. Confident LL Bean will cover their product .

I don't like fleece so I decided to try one of these. This is a very nice weight for everyday wear and is surprisingly good at blocking the wind. It is a little snug around the hips.

Bought the medium size. Fits perfect and I'm 5'9", 170lbs. 42R chest size. Need to test it's warmth in this NYC winter weather though. Very light weight.

The fit is mostly satisfactory, except the sleeves at the wrist. There is a narrow elastin band sewn in, but they do not snug up to my wrists letting outside air enter. Our winter temperatures usually rang from the mid twenties at night, to the mid forties in the day. This weight of jacket will be adequate for most of my needs.

Love it! Need to be careful since the fabric tears very easily.

Very good, wish it was a tad denser around the back and arms. But overall, warm, light, and allows for great movement.

Great coat for layering. Good at 35 degrees if no wind.

Nice fit, looks good; however, feathers keep slipping through the seams.

This is a lightweight, packable and warm for its weight jacket. We used this in the Italian alps in early October when experiencing first snow. We were only in villages not in wilderness but it kept the chill off.

I was very excited to get this jacket and tried it on enthusiastically when I received it. The first thing I noticed was that the sleeves were exactly to my wrist. To the point that if I extended my arms, the sleeves rode up my arm. Though technically this jacket fit as advertised, I prefer my sleeves not to ride up my arm. It just made the jacket feel too small. I was able to exchange for a Large. Though I anticipate it to be a bit larger in the chest, its the sleeve length that Im more interested in. I now know that I will probably need a Tall Medium rather than the Regular Medium. Customer service was VERY helpful with my exchange, though there was some confusion as to whether or not I was able to exchange the jacket for a different size at the price I bought it (sale price + teacher discount). The size I needed ended up back on sale, but I was told in the end that I could have exchanged the original jacket for a different size regardless of the current price. Either way, make sure you get clarity on pricing when you do an exchange so you wont be charged a higher price for your new item than you paid for the original item. Side note: I ordered a second jacket as a birthday gift for my nephew. He is 6'4" and the Regular XL fits him great!

Bought this jacket for my 11yo who is big for his age. Fits him loose, but with added layers, fits him perfect. He spends hours outside playing in the snow with friends and he's happy to stay warm and cozy in this jacket. I only wish it came with a hood.

I pretty much like the jacket overall however it's not as warm as I thought it would be.I purchased 2 of them but should have returned them and purchased Warner jackets.

This runs small (tight). Bought large and had to exchange for extra large. Somewhat difficult to zipper but, once it gets going, it is fine.

Love this jacket, nice and light, great for 40-60 degree days. The only reason it doesnt get 5 stars is I wish it came a bit more fitted. It has a bit of a tailored fit but not enough so still a bit boxy.

Perfect for cold spring weather layer. Either by itself or under rain jacket. Good for in-house with low thermostat.

I bought this as a layering piece for a trip later this year and let me warn you that this is a very snug fitting Large. I have an LL Bean quarter zip and several flannel shirts in the slim fit large but this feels more snug than those. The jacket is very light weight and has been ideal for the high 40s-mid 60s and rainy weather the south has had lately. You can wear a tshirt under this comfortably, but I don't believe you could fit two layers under this jacket comfortably.
