I bought this jacket for my husband who is older. It fits him perfectly and he loves to wear it because the weight is just right and he gets compliments every time he has it on.

Got this after I returned the Down sweater because it was too small. Main reason for this one instead is because it was rated as warmer and it was less $$. Definitely needed a XXL tall, though normally in these types of things XL is a good fit, so consider that. As to the warmth issue, with just a wicking tee shirt on underneath, and at 35 degrees with a strong wind, it is plenty warm, and I can see it will be warm to temps much below that. It keeps the wind out, which is good, but it doesn't vent the sweat so after a mile or mile and a half at the above temps you need to vent the zipper or your wicking shirt underneath will be soaked when you are done with a 4 mile walk at a moderate pace - so that is a down side. I don't think it would be any different with the down version. It is nice that it has both an inside and outside chest pocket. I wish you could work the zippers on the hand pockets from top to bottom with one hand to close, but you can't. All in all, a good jacket, lightweight for sure.

I ordered this jacket for my boyfriend for Christmas and I first ordered an XXL as he prefers everything loose fitting. It was too big so had to exchange it for an XL which fits perfectly. It is a little fitted through the waist area but it looks and feels great!!!

This was a gift to my husband. He likes how lightweight it is. It hasn't been tested in the rain or extreme cold temperatures yet.

Lightweight and stylish but surprisingly warm. Perfect for temps between 30 to 45 degrees with just a long sleeve shirt.

Ordered this for my son. He likes to hike and wants a warm jacket that was no bulky. He absolutely loves this jacket. Glad I got the tall because he is over 6 ft and others are generally too short.

I have worn this jacket in 35 degree weather and then up into the 60 degree range. It is perfect for me to stay comfortable in this moderate range.

I bought this for a December trip to Sweden and the Netherlands. When it arrived I couldn't believe how light it was. I didn't believe it could keep me warm, but I was going to be layering anyway and decided to take it with me. Worked great. It packs into an interior pocket and makes a nice pillow for the plane. Once in Europe, I often wore it over a light merino wool shirt and sometimes a light wool sweater and it was plenty warm. In fact, sometimes too warm, although I do generally run hot. I also put a rain jacket over it for steady rain, with just a light shirt underneath. It looks great and was exactly what I needed for winter weather in Europe. I generally wear an XL but went with a XXL, which turned out to be perfect. It fit me like an XL, so you may want to size up if you have broad shoulders and/or a belly. I'm very happy with the jacket and recommend it to others.

Love the jacket; is light and super warm. Most large sizes fit, but got the tall because I have long arms and sleeve length is perfect. Only "con" is it's a little more snug than I thought. Jacket is styled as fitted, but I probably should've just gone to a regular XL; big boys will definitely want to size up.

I have purchased numerous first to market products from LLBean. In the late 90's my first Gortex coat for hunting and first my windblock fleece jacket prior. Backpacks with the newest closures. I recently got a PrimaLoft packable jacket. I'm really enjoying it a lot. Last week I went for several walks over four miles. It was mid thirties. I was able to only have a heavy base layer long underwear top on then the jacket. Cargo shorts, wool socks, and running shoes and a hat were all the clothes to finish off and It felt great. After a bit of moving I was plenty warm. I like the pockets and the extreme lightness of this jacket. I can wear this jacket during all kinds of fall and winter activities. I'll wear it between some layers moose hunting in Saskatchewan next fall. I'm 66 years old and have a collection of LLBean products from over 40 years.

The coat is very warm and light weight. I like the style as well. I purchased the tall length because I like jackets to fit a little bit longer over the waist. The coat fits well and is not too long in length.

LOVE THIS JACKET. NOT INTENDED FOR BITTER COLD, BUT PLENTY WARM FOR MOST OF OKLAHOMA'S WINTER. WORKS BEST WITH A LIGHT FLEECE VEST IN COLDER WEATHER. PRETTY GOOD IN LIGHT RAIN OR SNOW. LOVE THE INSIDE POCKET, DEEP ENOUGH FOR A SIZE 10 ENVELOPE. ONE RECOMMENDATION BEAN, PUT THE INSIDE POCKET ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE FROM THE OUTSIDE POCKET. DOES RUN A LITTLE SMALL, SO CONSIDER "ORDERING UP" TO LAYER UNDERNEATH. IT ALSO MAKE A GREAT BASE LAYER UNDER A PARKA OR RAINCOAT.

Bought a similar Bean coat in black last year. Great fit, feel, texture and I really appreciate the woman who checked me out at King of Prussia Mall. Wish I could remember her name. Check my emailed receipt. Made my day with her kindness and professionalism.

It is rare that I purchase anything to fit my tall, thin son but this jacket in size large tall is perfect! Generally I purchase extra large just to fit his length which is too large in the body. He took it out of the gift box and wore it immediately, replete with tags, because it is a good fit, comfortable, and warm. He especially likes the fold-into-pocket feature for its portability.

Perfect for layering. Got warm when hiking in Yosemite and it packed away nicely in a day pack. Blocks wind well also. I used three layers under it at a 38 degree football game and stayed warm. I'm still searching for the internal media pocket and audio port.

I really love this jacket! Lightweight, but warm. Fits really well, true to size. Quality material. I like the "army" green color.
