A warm jacket that I gave my husband (age 67) as a present. He's not wild about insignia, but the LLBEAN does not stand out too much, so it's just fine. He takes an hour walk every day and it has been a go to for those. That said it hasn't been too cold here in Eastern MA, so he hasn't tested it with a lot of snow and wind.

Got the tall size which fits perfect and is just the right length. It keeps you warm without being heavy. It's great that you can adjust and tighten the bottom and the cuffs. Love that it's so easy to pack when traveling. Great for walking, hiking, running errands.....just about everything!

bought this jacket to be worn under outer layer for hunting. Light warm, wind proof and packs light and easy. Adds just enough warmth to keep me in the woods on the really cold days. Perfect fit, quiet.

Returned a smaller size because I like to layer and it was a little snug. Larger size is perfect for me, so you might consider sizing up. It is so light and warm and protects very well against wind. My go to jacket for dog-walking in all types of weather. Very glad to have this well-made product!

Bought one for my grandson last year and he wore it all the time. He needed a larger size this year and he loves it!

Came on time. Unpacked and tried it on, perfect! Put my sleeveless vest on under jacket and again PERFECT! Jacket is extremely light & exactly what I expected. Breathes with the weather. Never to hot or cold. So far I've only been in temperatures in 20's, As winter weather progresses and it gets colder I'll be checking out the -15 degrees in northern Vermont. I really enjoy the jacket!

I bought two of these jackets. One for each of my sons. They are teenagers and both really like their jacket. I think that they will be a bit lightweight for when real winter hits, but it has been a great in between season jacket. I also like that it is not down so that if it gets wet it stands a chance of keeping them warmer than wet feathers.

About me: 6' 2" 245lbs. Purchased tall XXL. Outside in 20 temps with 15mph wind jacket kept me warm. Feels like a windbreaker due to being very light but has insulation to keep me warm. Very good quality.

I brought this jacket a year ago and has been my go to jacket for cold winds, snowy weather. This jacket has a great comfort range from 50 degrees with morning chill to 18 degrees at night time. It is really comfortable and great for traveling.

------- i bought this to go underneath my motorcycle jacket. it was PERFECT for that ! it's such a nice jacket, i can wear it in my unheated house in the morning AND when i go out for a little hike around the neighborhood in the nippy mornings. they claim it's good down to 35 dgs but i bet it'd be right chilly, though . it weighs zero. if i have to be critical, the neck's fill isn't strong enough to help it stand up - i have to pull it up with my fingers . . .

This is the first puffy coat I've owned. Use it for warmth on cold mornings fly fishing in Montana. It is very light and compacts small to put in my vest when it warms up. It kept me warm down to about the low 30's. I researched different brands, but they were quite pricey. I've been loyal tonLL Bean for 30 years and have always trusted the quality of their products. It met all my expectations and I am very satisfied. I would recommend it.

This is a great jacket that keeps you warm without the weight. I was surprised at the warmth of this jacket while I was in windy conditions near zero walking my dogs in Colorado. It doesn't take up much room and goes everywhere with me now. Whether it is 50, or much colder, this is my go-to jacket now.

Fits very well, true to size. He is amazed a jacket can be so lightweight and so warm at the same time.
He also uses it as a layering piece. He loves it

Great for traveling. Wore it to the airport to keep warm in Boston then rolled it into it's self storing pouch, which took up very little room in my carry-on. Kept me warm in the cold weather, and extremely light weight.

I love the fit. Just right for everyday wear. Light and comfortable. I find myself wearing it inside the house and office because of the comfort. I have worn it several times under other heavier coats on colder outings and then take off the outer layer if needed.

It does not perform quite as well as down, but it is more than adequate. I really love the fact down feathers and fuzz are not constantly leaking through the fabric of the jacket! I have purchased the jacket and the vest to use while golfing.

Buying this PrimaLoft Packaway Jacket is one of the best purchases I have made in many years. I wear it all the time. I own a down jacket as well that I purchased several years ago, but it is too large for me. When I decided to buy this jacket, I was concerned that it may not be as warm as my down jacket. I have been very happy with how well it performs. If you pair it with a light base layer it will keep you warm and dry to temperatures in the low 30's or high 20's. On a cold day, I usually use an L. L. Bean Adventure Grid jacket as my base layer. We have not experienced temps much lower than that so far this winter, so I really can't speak to this jacket's performance below those levels. If you experience a lot of wind where you live, you may want to purchase the PrimaLoft Packaway Hoodie Jacket. On windy days, the hoodie could be very convenient.

I wanted a jacket for hiking that was warm but not bulky and this fits the bill perfectly. I wear it with a base layer and fleece pullover and haven't been cold yet in temps in the 20's. I think it will be fine in colder weather too.
