I love the boot, however I had to remove a small orange tag on the inside of both boots that rubbed the side of my leg even with socks. Hard to believe that the product testing department didn't recongize this problem. On another note, I did the 'mail order' and I wish I had been able to try on a wide because I do have a bunion and I think the medium agrivates it more than a wide. Otherwise, I really like the way the boot is designed and the ease of putting them on with the inside zipper.

I bought these boots in 1/17 if I remember right. Living in a snow belt with six months of snow, I like everything about the boot except they are not warm. Working outside in 32 degrees this afternoon after a 1/2 hour I came inside. Great for running errands in our sloppy six months of snow. I would recommend with my comment waterproof but not warm.

I have had these boots for couple of months now. And use them to take dogs into the woods daily. They are very waterproof and seem to be nice and warm.(hasn't been very cold yet) A bit hard to get on due to narrow ankle. And I went up a 1/2 size. (As usual for me when there is not a wide option.) But once they are on they are comfortable. Not sure if they had "wide" it would make it easier to get on. But it would be nice to have the option. When I have to go up 1/2 size one shoe always feels loose and the other tight. But the "real" waterproof of these make it worthwhile for me.

Bought for walk through forest to keep ticks away and to keep feet dry. Love the zipper - makes on/off much easier. They look great and are well constructed. I normally wear 10 1/2 wide. I Bot 10 1/2's on-line and toe box was way too tight. Returned for 11's. Fit, but toe box could still be wider. I would say try them on before buying. All else good.

A good, solid well-built boot but I'm inclined to think you have to have boneless feet to be able to get them on. I ordered a half size too large and even with that, the idea of a slip-on boot was quickly cast asunder. Even the idea of a cram-in boot was a stretch. Now, it could well be that my regally high and breathtakingly majestic arches are exceptional to the point of uniqueness and others may not struggle as I did, but one should be aware of the potential constriction they may encounter when attempting to, well, boot up.

Needs a full gauntlet around the zipper to make It waterproof above the ankle (where the zipper is.)

I've worn a size 11 all my adult life but purchased a size 11.5 so I could have thicker socks on in winter use. Could not get my foot into the boot with the zipper all the way down. Sent them back and exchanged for a size 12. With the size 12 I can get my foot into the boot but I have to fight like I'm the third monkey on the ramp to Noahs Arc and brother its starting to rain. Once I do get my foot in there is a lot of slop in the fit from being oversized. I'm hoping they stretch in time and get easier to put on. I can live with the sloppy fit. Hoping I don't destroy the lining from fighting to get my heel down into the boot.

Size runs small. Pull tabs too small.to use. Too narrow for proper fit.

Zippers don't last anytime at all. L.L. Bean will not repair because THEY DONT MAKE THEM. You are own your own when that zipper goes.

I live in an area where I don't need heavy boots very much. I had these for about 3 years wearing them occasionally. They spent the majority of time in my coat closet. This year the toe on one of the boots just fell apart when I wore them for the first time - pieces of plastic falling off everywhere. This suggests to me they are made from poor quality material.

Well, made, fits ok length and width wise (female bought male boots for width). However the top of the shoe presses down on the bones on top of my foot, quite painful, so returned. Not high enough inside.

Had these boots a couple of years when the rubber on top split down both sides - these are not the only boots I have and didn't wear them exclusively- they are a very comfortable boot I hate to throw them away

Nice boots but unlike other LL Bean duck boots, these do not have the lifetime rubber bottom replacement. That was very surprising. Definitely costs the ratings a star (or even two).

Nice boots but way too tight, unless you have very skinny feet you won't find them very comfy.

Returned them the day after Christmas to exchange for a larger size. Going on 3 weeks and I have not heard a word from LLBEAN. I called them and they said it would be four weeks before they could process the return/exchange. We have a short winter in Texas. By the time I receive my boots winter will be over. I am not impressed.

If you have a high arch you will never get this boot on. I bought the boot but had to return it because I could not get it on. I wanted to wear them they are good quality boots.

I've always enjoyed the longevity of my LL Bean purchases. Not so here. I pulled these boots out for the season, started walking and the rubber started literally falling off! These are not the exact boots for sale here, but a close style from years ago. To say I was shocked is an understatement. I own other Bean boots that have lived the test of time without fail. I'm not sure why the rubber on these failed. The leather uppers and the soles are still beautiful. What a waste... Gave them 3 stars for the use of them in previous years minus 2 stars for this year
