Ordered size 13 on my first order. Couldn't get my foot in at all.
Returned and reordered a 14! I received the size 14 today. Again it's so narrow I couldn't even get my foot in halfway and I have a narrow B width foot! It's sad it's a good looking boot but the country of origin where these are made can't get proper sizing. Sadder yet is LL Beans slide in quality demands from offshore vendors. I've been a very long term customer of LL Bean and I've unfortunately had problems on several orders lately and it's all about quality standards changing I hope they get their act together soon.

I foolishly ignored the reviews which said that the boot was the right size but the buyers were unable to get their feet into the boot. I looked at the picture and it seems like the zipper goes down far enough for any foot to go in. Unfortunately, even though I am a solid 14 in size, it was immediately apparent that I was not going to be able to put on the boot without a major struggle, if at all. There was no way I was going to be able to "turn that corner" and get my foot in. I am 70 years old; the whole point of getting this particular boot was to have something well-made and easy to get on and off without struggling with laces. Very disappointing. And I also have to pay return shipping. :(
Disappointed,

I ordered one pair and received two. I refused one upon delivery. I kept one , upon trying it on it did not fit so I returned it also. I didn't order another pair as the size I ordered was the largest size of that type of boot.

Bought these boots a couple of years ago. After wearing them a few times I noticed a nasty smell coming from the right boot. I was surprised as I had never had a problem with foot odor before. I removed the insole, dried the boot and put new insoles in both boots after spraying them with antibacterial boot odor spray. Smell kept coming back and I kept repeating till I finally decided right boot was leaking. So I used seam seal. This didnt work either. I did find that the leak was coming from toe on right boot so I applied gorilla glue to the seam. Still trying to salvage this expensive pair of boots since its to late to return them.

Customer Service - ZERO *: I had the shoes in my cart and was waiting for the 10% discount coupon as I had signed up as a new customer. After waiting for hours, I did not receive the email. I checked the spam folder and, ultimately, called the customer service. What an eye-opening experience, I have never come across such a bored and disinterested customer service agent. I was told to wait for 24 hours. I did not want to and Googled. There is a link available on the home page to re-request the code which I did and received the code in no time. I wonder if the customer service agent did not know this or did not care.
Quality Control - ZERO *: When I received the box (box in a box), the outer box was in perfect condition but the inner box had 3 out of 4 sides totally broken. I tried the shoes, one zipper will not move at all. On closer inspection, I found the zipper teeth to be covered in glue-like material. It was close to Christmas day and I did not want to go through the return-and-replacement routine. With a fine sowing needle, I was able to clean the glue and get the zipper to work. Is there any quality control?
Shoe - ONE *: 1. A little too big. I wear size 9.5 and the size recommender tool suggested size 10 which is what I bought. Even with thick winter socks, it is too big. It is OK with two pairs of thick winter socks.
2. The shoes are a little heavier than expected.
3. With a single pair of socks shoes are not warm at all.
4. A week ago, with our first serious snowfall, I tried the shoes outside for shoveling snow (the primary purpose of buying these shoes). This is where the biggest disappointment came in, no traction for think layer of ice that had formed under the snow overnight. The experience was like skating in a rink.
Conclusions: Extremely disappointed and this will be my first and the last buying experience at L.L.Bean.

Impossible to get the boot on. The zipper didn't go far enough down on the boot for a person with a high instep

Waited a month for this back ordered item. When they arrived I was instantly disappointed in look of them. They looked cheap and stiff. The upper is humongously wide and uninsulated. My ankle and shin were swimming in it. No way this product would stand up to a Minnesota winter. Trust me. Look elsewhere.

Warm and comfy; loose fit best if you also wear wool sox.

I normally wear a size 10m. I ordered 10-1/2m to allow for thicker sox.
Could not even get my foot in boot when unzipped. Way undersized with no mention of it. Out of stock.
Don't know if Ill ever buy from LL Bean
again after this awful experience

They will not fit if you have a high instep even if you go up a size.

I ordered these boots a full size larger than what I normally wear, because my size was unavailable. I couldn't even get my foot halfway in! They looked like they might have been good boots, but I'll never know. because the next size up is unavailable also.

Impossible to get my feet into these boots at a medium width, which should have been fine. Length may have been ok, however, fit was so narrow that I could not get my foot in to find out.

Struggle to get my foot in it. Tried light socks boot the struggle continues. Wanted a slip on boot for nasty weather and got an exercise machine. Once on the are fine but getting to that point shouldn.t be this hard.

I normally take a size 8.5 to 9, but ordered a 9 just to be safe. Tried as I might, I literally couldn't get my foot in these boots they were so small. They were at least one full size smaller than I expected. I had purchased them for a week in the mountains, but was told a replacement pair wouldn't arrive for at least one week after my trip. No thanks. Not a great experience. I would have expected better from LLBean.
Would I recommend them to a friend? Yes, but I'd advise ordering them at least a full size larger than they normally take.

I bought these boots for my husband in 12/19 and when they came they appeared sturdy and looked good. However, less than five months later one of the zippers has broken and the other is going fast. I am very disappointed. If LL Bean can't do better than this I'll have to look elsewhere for sturdy outdoor wear.

I have an old pair old pair of LLBean zipper boots. When the new design came out, it was first offered in whole sizes only, order up. When I ordered you offered 1/2 sizes. Too make sure of the size, I talked to you via Chat if the sizing was the same as my old boots. The reply was YES. This not true. The new design has a shorter zipper and does not go down in the boot as far. As a result, I needed the next 1/2 size larger, which has arrived and looks good. I do not think I should pay the $6.50

put the side zipper on a trickle of water and it leaked right in. No chance in a puddle
I was told no shipping charge but i have an invoice for 6.95. I hope that's not real

Nice looking boot, great design And I love the side zipper. But... it just did not have any insulation. It's a semi cold-weather boot with virtually zero insulation. I had to send it back

Not waterproof zipper lets water inside shoe. Wear like a tennis shoe very comfy. Useless boot if it can't keep feet dry.
