These are well constructed and handsome. However, they are quite stiff. I've had Minnetonka for years....they are MUCH more comfortable, but I suspect these will last longer...but not nearly as soft.

I bought a pair around 2010 and they were called Travelers and they are much better than these because they have a rubber tread built into the leather sole, I have been trying to get LL Bean to make those again, I might have to get them repaired at the cobbler, I like them sooo much. PLZ make them again & I will buy 5 pairs for my sons and me. I forget I'm wearing them sometimes and end up in the store! I guess that's why they called them Travelers. LOL These Double sole are too slippery for me but my cobbler can fix that.

Great looking slipper and a good fit, however the leather sole makes this slipper dangerous to walk! There is no grip whatsoever! So sad to have them returned!

These slippers are by far the most comfortable and classic slippers of which I'm aware. I come back to them again and again. These are my third pair. Problem is, they just don't last. The soul has worn through the first two pair. So why buy them again? There is no other slipper like them. I love them.

Size 14 too small. Size 15 needed. Ll Bean doesn't carry t5.

Just received these and the quality is obviously not the same, the color is different than the picture, they even feel cheap

These need aligning to be comfortable. While they're well-made, and the correct size, just the leather inside is neither warm nor comfortable. At the very least socks, need to be worn with them.

Quality was excellent as always, but I needed a slightly wider fit.

I love these slippers but even though I only wear them inside the bottom sole wears through in three to four years.

Not up to standard of the older model, same moccasin

This is the forth pair I have bought. This pair did not fit like previous. Small and not as wide as previous purchases for same size. The back by the heel is not as tall and thus rubs on my Achilles tendon. Previous ones I put on and had instant comfort. These are a disappointment.

Quality is lacking. The insole in one shoe is already peeling, and I have only had the shoes for a month.

Bottom of slippers are to slippery not safe to wear. Must rough the bottoms up before u fall. Need redesign for better saleable.

The first pair of these were expensive for the time, sixty nine dollars if I recall. I loved them, wore them daily for three decades before they finally bit the dust. I bought a second "identical" pair to replace them, something like eighty nine dollars then. The soles developed holes in a very few years, but with the help of duck tape I have worn them for some fifteen years before they, too, became unwearable. Not bad, I suppose but certainly lower quality than the first pair. Sadly I am unwilling to pay the high price for a third pair, even though even if quality has dropped again they would likely last me the rest of my life. In short, these are great slippers if you don't have the decades old originals to compare them to.

Repeat purchase of a nice slipper. Have purchased 4 pairs over the years!

The lining was defective and we returned them mid February

This is my 3rd or 4th pair. Each pair lasts me about 10 years (Yes, I've been around the block a few times). These slippers are comfortable right out the box. I like the soft sole, which is perfect for indoor wear. Bean's superior quality is the same as when I first purchased this slipper many, many years ago. There is nothing comparable that I know of, and certainly not such a good value. I highly recommend these slippers to men who want comfort and a long lasting slipper.

Perhaps my expectations were too high. Ordered up based on half size recommendation and they were too large. For me half size smaller fit great. After a few days break period these became the most comfortable slippers ever. They took the shape of my foot perfectly. But now, after 9 months around the house it is beginning to wear through the bottom. Unfortunate.

These have been my husbands favorite house shoes for years! Im glad llbean continues to carry them so that he can always have pair.

I didnt know anyone made these anymore. I got a pair more than 2 decades ago. I like the feel of being barefoot, but sometimes its not advisable. I wear them in the rain, on the beach, in the garden, around the campfire. One of the laces broke recently, but they still mold to my foot. The BEST!

These slippers were not at all what was expected. The bottom of them are very slippery and not safe for the person intended because of age and falling. Would have been nice to have a little traction of some Sort on the bottom.

I loved how comfortable these slippers were. They were beautiful leather and quickly molded to my feet. However, the soles did wear through after about two - two and a half years. For the price, I definitely hoped they would have lasted longer, hence the four star review in lieu of five.

Runs big but no half size. Have ordered size down. Hope that works.
