This is the first pair I've brought. They run a little big and wide. The right is snugger than the left. The left is a little wider. If it was a little wide it would fit just fine. I use them for around the house only so the size isn't a problem. Once broken in (couple days) they fit just fine with the exception of being slightly wide. These do make my feet sweat if I'm not wearing socks, but nothing too bad.

I've been buying this exact slipper for years - since the early 80's. I don't know what pair I'm on, but it must be 6, 7 or 8th pair? Anyway, I've watched the price go up in leaps and bounds every purchase. I think they started at $35/pr, and now they're $109??!! Yes, they are 100% real leather, look great, and are super comfortable, but unless these are 100% hand crafted one pair at a time, I'm not sure that $109 is a fair price? I mean - I do keep buying them - but for how long? My last pair wore out before the prior pair for some reason? The only reason I bought again was that 2 pairs ago, they got a bunch of paint on them. I never wear these outside - just inside only. I do prefer the unlined version. Again, they've become a tradition, but way over priced in my opinion - this may be my last pair - who knows?

Color in the photos is misleading--the true color is more of a medium-brown. Sizing is a tad large--I would probably have downsized to a 10.5 if half sizes were offered. The slippers are slick on carpet and are a bit stiff on the feet, but I am hoping that fixes itself with time.
Overall the slippers are good, but there is room for improvement--especially at $109.00.

Loved the style and construction but had to return because it was far too wide. Would recommend only if buyer has a wide foot.

I just received my third pair of these leather double-sole slippers, leather-lined. My current pair is still workable, but one has just developed a small (1/4" diameter) hole in the outermost layer of leather of the sole (not all the way through to the inside). Still quite usable, and very reasonable wear considering they are four years old and I wear them daily indoors. I can say that the quality of construction and thickness of the leather is as good on the pair I just got as it was on the first pair I owned. These are good slippers and yes, they are expensive, but well worth it in my opinion

I bought these to replace a similar pair bought many years ago, whose soles had finally worn through. I first ordered a size 9 but that pair was too small, especially if one wanted to wear socks with them on a cold evening. The size ten replacements certainly fit but might be a bit too big sockless. One warning: I had forgotten how slippery a new pair can be - I haven't fallen yet!!

These run at least a half size too large.
It is better to order the next smaller size and let them stretch out. After a few days they start to form to your foot.

These are well made, attractive slippers. However, they are stiffer than I was expecting. It will take a while for them to soften up.

Overall, very satisfied. I wish LLB would offer a shoe in this leather and finish. Very good looking.
The insert is soft and comfortable. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the rawhide laces are exposed inside. It rubs the top of my foot. Shoes with similar styling, have a leather covering the laces. You would think slippers at this price point would have covering too.
I would definitely recommend to a friend.

Across the broad spectrum of merchandise today of course the price goes up, BUT the sad part is things aren't always as good as they used to be. I've owned three pair of the Double-Soles. They went $69, $89, $94 and now $104. I liked the first three. The soles wore-out over time and I wished I'd got longed use for the money. The last pair I had to send back the leather was so hard I felt I was wearing wooden shoes.
Hopefully things will change again.

In the front of the slipper where the leather laces run underneath the top leather, the exposed leather lace cuts into top of my foot. I have written LLB about this before and pointed out that their Men's Handsewn Moccasins, Camp Moc Item #: TA130448 have a piece of leather sewn in that prevents this problem and that they could have this done to the slippers, probably for no extra cost, and the problem would be gone. Evidently LLB does not care about the problem, because they never do anything to correct the problem.

The sole was too smooth and slippery for an elderly man.

These are quite handsome slipper fit well and the outer leather is as nice as it looks. However the foam under/around the slip sole makes them uncomfortable to wear barefoot and I'd prefer they didn't have the squishy foam between the leather outer sole and the liner

I bought this product, only because LLBEAN no longer carries the Bison Leather slipper. That slipper was unlined, like this one and had no tassles, which this does. I hate the tassles, but I hate lined slippers more. So, I had to compromise. I haven't taken them out of the box yet, and won't until my old worn pair of bison leather slippers completely fall apart.

I bought these because the Buffalo Moccasins were not available without being lined in sheerling. They are cut lower in the rear more like house shoes and I don't care for that fit. They don't feel as substantial. It is a sad compromise.

I have had my pair for at least 25 years, they are great. They have been resoled by LL Bean once, now it is a service not offered, if they wear out (hole in the outer leather) you will have to find another way to repair them. I would not recommend buying them now that they do not repair them.

These are not only leather lined, they are leather on the sole, which makes them slippery. They are also very hard and uncomfortable, not soft like the other slippers, which I do have and like very much.

It would be a better slipper with a rubber soul and laces that did not continually come loose.

I got these for my husband. They are nice looking and sturdy. Unfortunately, they were too big in the heel kept slipping up and down when he walked which he found irritating. He tightened them a bit, but then the leather knot inside where the instep is became painful. He got a size 10, but really needed a 9 1/2 which they don't make, so we sent them back.

No Double Soles Any Longer. Worn these for over 30 years. Lifetime LL Bean warranty no longer exists. Most items "imported" from China & South America. True double leather soles are gone. Slippers go through the outer sole within a year, then you see cotton where the hole is. Only thing that hasn't changed is the price. Not the same quality US company they once were.

My size is 10 wide. I tried 10 wide and 10 normal. Both were too big. It cost $12.00 to return these shoes. Even though the shoes were too big, they were uncomfortable. The shoes were very stiff.

I’m a 8.5D. Ordered an 8D and it fits like a 9E. Both width & length are oversized. Looks good, leather appears to be good and the construction seems good. Gonna keep it to wear around the house.
