Excellent quality boot, definitely worth the wait for these. extremely warm with the Thinsulate option. I normally wear a size 11 in all other shoes and boots, so I went by the recommendation to order a size smaller and they were too small...I returned them for the size 11 and it was a perfect fit...just fyi.

This review is for the Bean boot W Thinsulate. For $20 more than the regular boot, definitely money well spent. Better to have it than regret not having it. I was very impressed how you actually feel the warmth from the Thinsulate hugging the bottom of your feet. Nice!!!

Pay attention to their fit guidelines. I wear a 12 1/2 in running shoes, and I have Katahdin Iron Works Boots in size 12 and couldn't wear them any smaller. I bought size 11 Bean Boots based on their recommendation, and they are just right. Glad I listened.

These boots replace a previous pair that I have had for 22 years-the shorter version is a nice option for the climate and weather in NC. I originally purchased the other boots for Upstate NY weather-nice perk L.L. Bean will refurb the old boots for a nominal fee so I get the best of both worlds. The agent we spoke with was informative and pleasant. We have purchased numerous items from L.L. Bean and will continue to support them!! The return policy and free shipping is exceptional as is the friendly customer service personnel.

I typically wear a 9 1/2 so I ordered an 8 as suggested. The length of the boot fit properly, but the width was too narrow. Returned and ordered a wide 8. Love the boots, just hate to wait 2-3 months for delivery.....TWICE. Guess I will have them for next winter. Return process was painless and handled professionally.

I would like to say thank you to LL Bean for having a 100 % American made boot. I ordered the 8" Thinsulate boot and with the Buffalo NY weather the boots kept my feet very warm. I was out snow blowing for an hour and a half in deep snow. The boots cost me a $ 139.00. The money was well spent. The workmen ship in making the pair of boots was beyond words. LL Bean thank you for having a great product that is american made and is a true fit to the american foot. I have told many friends about the boots. Now they are thinking about buying the boots to.

I could not be happier with these boots (& thank you to Steph on the boot team for making them!). Great fit and warmth - though only a couple of storms so far this winter, I expect them to perform for many years. Comfy, light - can't believe I've lived in Maine my whole life and this is my first pair! (wife and adult daughters have had theirs for several years now)

I have worn these boots every single day since the start of fall. They are so comfortable, an warm also L.L. Bean customer service is unmatched.The sizing is a little wierd but read their sizing guide and you should be good. Been thinking about buying another one size up so I can wear to pairs of thick socks in them when it gets below 15 degrees. I love wearing them while hunting all I need to do to get them clean is run them under the spicket and the mud splash right off. Must have boot to add to your shoe collection.

I purchased these for my husband and he loves them! We live in Northern Minnesota, so he needs warm boots but usually they are so heavy, and my husband has a disability that makes it hard for him to walk. LL Bean's boots are so light but very warm!

I finally found the perfect pair of boots. They are worth every penny. I love that they are waterproof and warm. They get better with every wear as they become more and more broken in.

The most comfortable boots I've owned. The only thing: I wish is they were fully insulated, but I was told by a friend you can buy a type insulated sleeve for them. After reading the reviews, they were everything I expected, and the comfort is second to none.

I just bought these boots on sale with 20% off and free shipping. For the price and the quality of the boots I feel very happy with my purchase. To my surprise the boots are very comfortable but a bit, just a bit narrow. Consider ordering a EE fit if you have a wide foot or plan to use thick socks. Contrary to many reviews here. These are true to size boots. It seems that older reviews suggest ordering a full size down and newer reviews stating that these are true to size. I am glad I ordered my true size number. I think the new batch are true to size. I have not wear these boots outside yet so I can't tell you how warm and how the sole keeps up with slippery icy floor but I am sure they will live to the expectations. I am looking forward to many years of use in frigid Chicago weather.

Good looking shoe, keeps feet warm and dry. I wear a 9.5/10 in sneakers, I needed the 8.

Took a trip to Banff in these. The thinsulate + medium merino socks kept my feet warm and dry, even while trudging through feet of snow! And they're lightweight enough to comfortably walk around the city.

These boots should be named an American Made Classic! Great quality and price

Do yourself a favor and order these boots one size smaller than you normally wear. Beautifully constructed boot. Comfy, and just fun to use. Very practical for the rain, snow and NYC winter conditions. Love them.

This is the first pair of boots (minus chucka's) that i've purchased. They are extremely warm and take on weather like champs. I wear a 13 and ordered a 12, and they still run somewhat a little loose, but i'm sure its something that will just get worked in over time. Definitely will purchase again if these ever go bad

I have a EE wide foot and have a hard time finding a shoe or boot to fit right. L.L.Bean was my answer. I bought a pair of 8" 10 W (EE) Thinsulate Bean Boots M's. The fix is perfect fit. The boots are 100% made in america. My boots were made by a boot maker who name is Lesley at L.L.Bean Manufacturing in Brunswick, Maine. Lesley I thank you for doing a super job on my boots. Your are making america proud.

I really like these boots ... they are very comfortable and feel good all day !!! I have a medium width foot and purchased a medium width (one size smaller than my street shoes), with the Thinsulate liner they fit perfectly with mid-weight socks. I also purchased the Bean Boot Mocs ... I ordered a narrow width because of the lack of a Thinsulate liner ... once again, perfect fit. I live in the Mocs, they are extremely comfortable !!! I just bought these not too long ago for opening day of deer hunting in Wisconsin. They were nice and toasty for driving deer and for the little snow we had. I wore them into town and the heel wore down a good amount from just walking on concrete. I suppose that makes sense. It's not like I'm a big guy or anything but i would not wear them as anything else other than a hunting or rain boot. Overall I am pretty satisfied with the boots

I first ordered these boots in a size too large, when I called up and asked to return the boots. Before the phone even rang an LL Bean rep picked up and helped me out. Incredible Customer Service!!!! Within the week I received the correct size boot. Now I act like a dinosaur stomping through all the puddles on the street. Incredible everything! More than Highly Recommend!

I did not listen to the salesperson about stepping down a size so I exchanged the first pair due to length. I exchanged the second pair due to the width being somewhat narrow for my foot. I had the boot for a couple months hoping they would stretch a little. no questions asked I was able to exchange again. Now my feet are happy. great customer service that I did not expect.
