i ordered a new pair of thinsulite lined Bean Boots to replace a pair I have used for twenty years. The new boots are in a ee width, which is what I need. The fit is perfect, and the boots are warm in the snow down to a temperature of 25 degrees F. Greta buy.

Purchased "The Original" so I could walk in the snow in the park across the street from our home. Breaking the leather in during the fall and the process is working well. Warm, comfortable and easy to walk in. We had an untypical mid-November snowfall of 6+ inches and they were outstanding.

I have a narrow foot and have always have trouble finding shoes and boots to fit properly. The Bean boot in a narrow width fits my b width foot perfectly. I ordered the boots in early October and finally had a chance to give them a workout on November 12th when we received 10 inches of snow. The boots were great. They worked well in the snow and kept my feet warm. My only complaint is I find the laces a little stiff to use especially when tying a knot. Otherwise they are a great boot and would recommend them to anyone.

Reading other reviewers, I bought size 9 when I normally wear 10 or 10.5. It was very snug. I bought another one for size 10 and fits perfectly. Buy your regular size for these thinsulate versions. The padding makes it much more snug and you will need that extra room for your toes.

I originally ordered my normal boot size and realized I needed to go a full size down. Once I returned for the full size down they fit perfectly. So my too wide and too long is based off the 8 that I had to return for a 7. The full size down now fit perfectly but I have never worn a size that small in any boot I have ever owned. Other than that these boots are fantastic. Love that they are made in the US and the craftsmanship is excellent. They look and feel great. They are very comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cold/wet weather boot. Hoping these last me for years to come because the look is timeless and the build is solid.

I wear size 9.5 in regular shoes, no wide shoes. Following the sizing guideline, I ordered a size 8 Medium as I planned on just wearing normal athletic socks with them, no special thick socks. At first it was very, very snug in the toes area. I thought it was probably due to the thinsulate and reading reviews sounded like the boots need a little wear in to fit better. I wore the boots around for quite some time (couple days a week over span of two months) and it was still a snug fit. Not so snug that there was pain, but a bit too much for my liking and not like it feels with other shoes. The length was totally fine and width around ankles was good, just tight on the toes. So I ordered size 8 and Wide width. This size with the wide width is now absolutely perfect fit. I was concerned going wide would make it too wide especially after some wear in, but after wearing them a couple days a week for over a month, they still fit great. I measured my foot at the LL Bean store and am not a wide measurement, but I think with me being a half foot size and the boot having thinsulate inside, that might have just made things too snug. There is a one year return policy, so no problems at all in returning the snug boots. Now that I have the correct boots, they feel much more like normal shoes and very comfortable to wear. I wear them all the time now when working in the yard or even at work (after cleaning up a bit).

I had trouble with the size on first two attempts. When they say go down a size to size and a half believe it. I wear from 10.5 to 11 in my shoes and boats. With this boot I needed the 9 Wide. LL Bean Customer Service was outstanding. They put me in the right boot and I absolutely love them.

Hurricane Michael destroyed the Panhandle of North Florida on October 10,2018. So thankful I already had a pair of these boots! I have worn them every day since then because everywhere I go it is wet and the ground has lots of debris from trees and buildings! This was the first pair for me.. I have given them a good workout and bought another pair so I would be sure when these are worn out I would have another pair at the ready! You will not regret the purchase of these boots. If they are a little big wear thicker socks or 2 pairs of socks--not a big deal! They are very comfortable!!.I wear them with LL Bean wool socks and they are warm when it is cold and not hot when it is hot outside! Perfect!

These boots were a great choice for the wet and snowy weather at my son's college located in Massachusetts. They were ordered and arrived on time. Great customer service too.

These boots are awesome! I got the 8" thinsulated non gortex and there perfect for everyday mid to late fall/winter/ and early spring uses. Keeps my feet warm/dry/ and comfortable. They look cool and go with all kinds of styles of clothing. I know these will last a long time and when they do wear out I'll be getting the same ones, if not upgrade. Thanks LL Bean!

This is my favorite pair of boots I've owned. Living in Minnesota this winter has been challenging but these boots keep my feet warm and make me feel confident walking in these frigid weather conditions. Also stylish enough to wear to the office!

I have four pair of Bean Boots, 10 inch and 8 inch both with thinsulate, 6 inch and gumshoe uninsulated. I prefer the insulated ones for fall, winter and spring. The uninsulated boots are fine in the summer only, at least for my liking. I normally wear an 81/2 or a 9 but with these boots, I've gone to a 7 which seems to work best for me. I am happy they're made in Maine and I wouldn't change a thing about them. They are solid and I'm happy with the quality. The bottoms can be replaced for a minimal cost and sizing can be changed up one size or down one size at that time. Buy these boots, while you're at it buy several pair. Buy them for you, your family, your friends and anyone else you want to surprise with a quality gift. Stick with LL Bean, just about everything I wear has a Bean tag on it.

These boots are perfect, just warm enough, incredibly comfortable, perfect fit. I'm usually an 11.5-12, I went with the 11, and it's just right.

I volunteer at the Houston Zoo and I end up with cold, wet feet far too often in the winter. I needed help. I tried these boots and I LOVE THEM! My feet stay nice and dry! I was not sure if I was going to be happy with these due to the sizing suggestions but I filled the recommendations and they fit great!

I ordered the size as recommended on the web site, but they turned out to be too small. I normally wear 8-1/2 or 9 (depending on style) wide, so I ordered an 8 EE. Too small! I bought the Thinsulate version, not sure if that makes a difference. Returned them for a size 9, they fit fine. I wore them pretty much for a whole day so far, no complaints.

Now every member of my family has a pair. Bought these for Christmas presents prior to a very soggy weekend in Victoria BC. They loved them. Have been wearing them for 30 years for every kind of outdoor activity. My childhood neighbor had a pair, and I "rediscovered" them at that time. It's simple, They work. Would not recommend them for sheep hunting though.LOL

These boots run a big as you probably already read. For reference, Red Wing boots fitted me on their machine for a size 8 Iron Ranger. I could have easily went down to a size 7 in Bean Boots. To do it over again and if I had more time, I would have returned them for a 7 if I would have had time. I needed them for a trip to the artic circle, which they did great apart for being a bit bigger than I prefer. I would definitely recommend these boots for anyone making a trip in colder climates. They look good and keep your feet warm.

Ordered for grandson, who wears size 14 shoe. Boots arrived quickly, and in great shape. However, even with thick socks, boots were a full size too long. He returned for exchange of size 13, which fit perfectly with a little room to grow. Returned handled smoothly and quickly. Grandson loves the boots, can't wait to wear them when hunting.

Nephew from Florida and traveling in the winter to NE and the Midwest and mid Atlantic, so far nice toasty and dry feet very happy!

The are very comfortable and keep my feet really warm in the cold and snow.

I bought these boots for a winter trip to Ireland. I had no need to take any other boot than these! I normally wear a size 11 wide. I took the review advice and ordered the 10 wide. The boot was very comfortable straight out of the box! I took several walking tours, so I have quite a few miles on them already. They are warm dry.

These are great boots. I have small wide feet and it's tough to find boots that really fit properly and these work great! The width is awesome and even provides room for my thicker socks. So far they have been great for rain and I'm really looking forward to the first snow to really test these things out.

These boots were my husbands Christmas gift. Received them in plenty of time. Fit perfectly. Since he has smaller ankles, went to boot repair shop and had extra eyelets put in next to the top eyelets at a very low cost. Now they fit snugger at the top. He is very happy with these boots.. Thank you!
