I like the boots. I wore the other pair out after many years of use. I like American made products.

Great boots. I followed the website's advice and ordered a size down from my usual size. Shoe sizes vary a lot, I'm an 11 in athletic shoes, a 10.5 in boat shoes, a 10 in dress shoes and loafers, and a 9 in bean boots. Although they seemed tight when I first put them on, after walking a bit, they loosened up and are now quite comfortable, almost to the point of being a little loose, but I don't plan on running in these boots so it's pretty comfortable. The leather upper, like any leather shoe, was extremely stiff and uncomfortable at first. After wearing these boots for about a week, they broke in and now are molded to my feet and ankles and are extremely comfortable. Overall, great boots, they haven't seen a ton of action in inclement conditions, but they've kept me dry in the rain and every time I've stepped in a puddle, and they've kept my feet warm in the cold.

I've been shopping LL Bean for nearly half a century. (Jeez, I just realized how old that makes me) I have never, repeat, never, been disappointed with any of my purchases. Their web site is easy to navigate and user friendly. If I choose to order by phone I always get connected to a knowledgeable sales person with a friendly voice. My recent purchase of a pair of size 14 LL Bean boots was exactly what I wanted; a pair of comfortable, quality American made boots. Thank you LL Bean, you're my go-to catalog for clothing and footwear.

Very comfortable, snug fit, but definitly order a size bigger than normal to allow room for socks. The 8" height was too short for me, I wish these came in 10"! Overall, a great boot though.

Growing up in Maine everyone seemed to have a pair and for good reason. These boots are tough like New Englanders themselves. They handle the rainy season of fall, the snow of winter, and the mud season of spring with ease. Definitely follow the sizing advice as sizing can be a little tricky since these the boots run really big. Once you have the right size and have worn them a few times they fit like a glove. Can't recommend these boot enough.

The last pair of these mud boots lasted me well over 10 years. The quality of the new boot looks very similar to my old boots; maybe even a bit better. I love these boots. They are one of the only boot that I have owned that is actually waterproof.

I bought these boots for my son-in-law. He had had a pair for years and years and it was time for a new pair. He says the fit is true to size (he wears a size 12) and they are extremely comfortable. He specifically requested them because he knows the first pair lasted so long!

I usually wear a 12-13, so when I saw the sizing recommended me get an 11 (for regular socks) I was very skeptical, ordering a 12 instead. Well I should have believed them, as the 12 was gigantic - my heel almost came out with every step. Even with heavy socks they were too big. I reluctantly exchanged them for an 11 which fits much better! The fit is still somewhat narrow around the forefoot and a little loose around the heel, but it fits well enough that as long as I'm not doing any long-term hiking I think they'll be ok.

Richard loves his boots. He wears them most every day, since we live on a small ranch. From the time he first tried them on, they were very comfortable and well made. They will serve him well in snow this winter. He has trouble finding shoes that fit, and these are perfect. He got the wide and has ample room for heavy socks. He had admired the women's version that I have had for almost 20 years, and they still are going strong. Can't say enough about LL Beans good service and products.

These boots are for my son. He was ready for grown up Bean boots. They are excellent quality. They're beautifully made. we went for the merino boot socks as well. I know he will have a nice pair of boots to wear when he helps us shovel!

You only have to buy these once. They Last a LIFETIME. I have friends who have had their LL Bean Boots for over 15 years and they still work fine. I decided that THIS was the year I would not have SOAKED,COLD FEET and I actually am looking forward to Winter. Not only will they be Waterproof but the Thinsulate will Keep them Warm and Cozy. I highly Recommend the Sheepskin Liner as your feet will be treated to the best AND the most Comfortable boots you can get anywhere even at TWICE the price you will NEVER find better boots than - BAR NONE!!!!!!

this is my second pair, the first pair lasted for about 16 years with no problem. hope this pair last that long.

Perfect fit! Once again very popular on the college campus and perfect for the winter and fall weather in Michigan. Will last long past the college days, thank goodness!

These boots are great! The shipping said it would take 3-5 days but I got them in only 2 days! Also they had a question about my order and called me right away and got it sorted out. Seems like a great company with a great product!

From the arrival of the carefully packed package through the review and fitting, this is clearly the best boot to buy by far. I did a lot of research prior to making the purchase and realized that the LL Bean boot was the one for me. The company stands by its products with a lot of pride and it shows.

My family loves our Bean Boots. I have had my 8" Bean Boots for over 20 years and still wear them every winter in the snow and wet weather. This past December my 19 year old daughter asked for the same ones for Christmas. My 23 year old son then asked for them for his birthday at the end of December. We are all very happy with our boots Thank you for making this great product.

Bought these for my brother as a birthday gift to replace the pair he bought about 20 years ago while in high school. Holding the new and the old side by side he reports that they are still of the same quality and still made in Maine!

I initially purchased [online] the 6 inch boot, size 12 without the Thinsulate; the boots were too big and clunky. I went to a local LL Bean store to return the boots and try on a size 11, which were too small. I tried the 8 inch size 12 with Thinsulate and they fit perfectly! I am very happy with my purchase.

Have hunted and fished for years. Probably the most comfortable boot I have ever owned. I had a problem with the fit the first time I ordered the boots. Your customer service department is incredible. I would highly recommend your company and your products.

the best in the business but overpriced

LL Bean sizing advice worked. Ordered a size 9 for my regular size of 10.5. Have worn the boots for 4 days so far to break in. They are breaking in nicely. Construction of boot looks very good. A fair price for a nice pair of boots.

This is my 3rd pair of Bean boots over a 30 year period and as a forester who works in the woods and also hikes for recreation they are first rate in keeping my feet dry. They were back ordered and not expected to arrive for about 6 weeks when I ordered them but they arrived much sooner. Great service from LL Bean which along with the quality of the product is why I continue to buy from Bean.

My husband ordered these boots because they were USA made. He was tired of paying good money and have them wear out and never fit right. These fit comfortably on the 1st wearing. He originally ordered his usual size but even with heavy socks we had to return them and size down. He is planning on ordering the lined ones for the colder weather. I was so impressed I am considering them for myself!!! Great Job LLBean.
