I bought these boots to wear, while I work at a farmer's market in the fall. It was cold and wet some Saturdays, but my feet stayed warm and dry. The boots are comfortable, while standing on the pavement and climbing up and down on the truck. I now wear them on chilly mornings when my husband and I walk our dog. Love these boots!

This boot is a bit on the "clunky" side, because it is wide in the toe section. If you want a lot of ankle support, this boot definitely has it. Even so, it is lightweight. Hopefully after I break them in, they will be a bit more flexible.

This is my second pair of these boots. I walk early every morning in a pasture with a mowed paths that will still have a lot of dew on the grass. The first pair was grear and water resistant for a at least 9 months. Then worried they were not as resistant so I coated them in water resistant grease/oil and they lasted at least another 6 months. It has been years since I had found a pair to stay water resistant that long usually they may last 3-4 months. Both the first pair and this last pair has fitted great out of the box. My shoe size is at the upper limits of 10 medium but these fit well.

Comfortable on first day. No break in period. Very cute

I love these boots. These are the third or fourth pair I've owned. They are very comfortable, give me great support and I can fit my custom orthotics in them after removing the inner sole.

I love these shoesvery comfortable, very good looking and very practical.

Excellent support and fit. My only complaint are the smaller cleats at the top of the boot. I double lace and the space is very tight.

They're very sturdy and comfortable, with great ankle support. While I was walking along the Giants Causeway (boots bought for a trip to Ireland), a woman called out, "I like your boots!!"

These are great. I've only had them for about a month, but they've held up on rocky and muddy hikes. They're also cute! Looking forward to wearing them for a long time. I ordered my usual size and a size up to test them, and I ended up keeping the pair in my usual size.

This is the first pair of shoes that I have purchased from LL Bean that fit perfectly! Now if only cool weather would come so I can wear them..

Not heavy at all. Love the color. Looks great with jeans and hiking pants.

The boots are comfortable from the very first try. I usually wear a size 8 and have wide feet but got 81/2 in these to make sure I had enough room and they fit perfectly. The laces are long enough, I like the tongue design, and the soles are cushiony. I've just been walking around every day on flat ground to make sure I break them in and I love them. They look sharp with the dark wine leather and so far are waterproof in the rain. It's hard to find an all leather boot with waterproofing and I prefer that leather to easily maintain waterproofing. Can't wait to go backpacking this summer. They are my everyday boots.

Knew as soon as I tried on that these were "the one." Walked 23,000 steps on 3rd day of wearing and felt terrific. On rainy day - pouring rain, I wore rain poncho over raincoat and still only my feet were dry. Great boots!!

If you are a leather lover then these are perfect for you.

I said size small because i ordered a ten and my ideal size is 9.5 with good width. It fits perfectly with the ten. I have done a lot of hiking since i got them. I have been amazed that they really are waterproof. Traction is every bit as good as my trail running shoe i use in the warmer weather. It has a comfortable toe box. I have immersed my foot accidentally up over the ankle and come home with completely dry feet.

These boot fit great right out of the box. I felt they needed very little break in time. Walked through 2-3 inches of water and feet stayed dry. So comfortable and lightweight. Put my inserts in them and I was good to go. I had ordered about 5 different pairs and these were my keepers. Just my personal opinions.

I've been hiking in these for a few weeks now and I've been really happy with their performance. Even after miles and hours my feet don't get sore or stressed. As for being waterproof, I've been through quite a few muddy puddles and nothing has seeped through the seams, so I'm pleased!

Comfortable and true to size. Easy to clean with just a cloth & small amount of water.

I gifted myself these for my birthday and they are amazing. I bought them in store and got the 7.5. I normally wear a 8 in boots because I like to double sock but the 7.5 was best for this boot and hiking. They are so comfortable, provide great ankle support, hug my foot perfectly and make hiking on all terrain in any weather condition do able. I also boulder here and there and found these were not too bulky for a quick spontaneous climb. I love the color, though they do scuff easily but I also think it adds to the look. Overall, if you are an avid hiker who also like to sport fashionable boots, these are for you!

Love my boots. Attractive. Fit well. Good traction. I did need to break them in.
