Best hiking boot EVER!! Stayed with my true to size and it is so comfortable..No breaking in period just put them on and starting going!!! Have worn them pretty much every day to take my dog for a walk.My feet have not gotten cold, even in the deep snow(and that is saying something because no matter what I do, my feet usually always are cold!!! highly recommend

True to my size is a bit wide. This boot is amazingly comfortable. As soon as I put them on I loved them. I wore them in the snow the next day and my feet stayed dry and warm and the traction is great! I'm an 11 and many shoes and boots I've tried in my size over the last few years have all been snug until broken in but these felt perfect right off the bat. I also love that they came with a backup, contrasting pair of laces. They arrived with red laces but the second pair are brown. Because of my sizing I might venture to say these run large. They are perfect with a thick boot sock. Ideal for winter weather but hopefully appropriate in warmer seasons with a lighter weight socks. I am very happy with this purchase. They are cute with leggings or boot cut pants.

I love these boots! I have slim feet and they hug my feet and feel like my most comfortable tennis shoes. No need to break them in either! Great shoe.

This is my first pair of hiking boots, and I'm super happy with them so far. I wanted boots that are lightweight and prevent me from accidentally twisting my ankle or rolling my foot when I'm hiking. These are very comfortable from the very first wear - no need to break them in - and if you tie the laces tight on the top 3 hooks, they support your ankles really well. I also love the fun purple color - hiking boots are usually so utilitarian in appearance, but these have some style to them. I definitely recommend them! I am generally a 9 to 9.5, and the 9.5 fit me perfectly with thick socks on.

Super comfy, warm & supportive. Also, very waterproofwaded through a river and my feet stayed dry. They do scratch very easily due to the type of leather, but I personally think it adds to the authenticity.

Did not have a chance to properly break this in before a rather challenging four-day hike in Peru. And guess what? It didn't matter. NO foot problems, no blisters, as waterproof as I needed (I didn't walk through any streams or anything but it did rain)--and just a good-looking boot. I actually felt it rehabbed my ankle which is inclined to roll, with it's good stability. I wore awesome, thick wool socks (also from LLBean) which I'm sure helped to prevent blisters. Sizing was true. Very pleased with this purchase!

I went by previous reviews and ordered a 1/2 size larger. I really like these boots. They are lightweight which is a big factor for ankles and knees. I have not worned them long enough to test their wear.

This is my third pair of the Alpine Boots. They are the most comfortable hiking boots I have ever owned. No break in period required. I hike in the parks almost everyday and need a good pair of hikers. The Alpine boot is perfect.They keep you feet warm and dry on the coldest wettest days. Good traction too. Do not hesitate in buying these. They are worth it. Bean, please keep making these. P.S. My son also has three pairs and loves them as much as I do.

These boots fit great, I got the size they recommended not the size I thought I should get, and they fit great. I've had a lot of boot over the years and had to break them in, not these.
