Purchased these boots and very excited about fit and quality.

Definitely comfortable right out the box. Colors are nice but who cares! Comfort is key! The arch is just right, heel has nice support, and love the flexibility in the step! I've gone around and tried other brands that were like "are you kidding" compared to Bean's! My daughter is also going to get a pair. I'm ready to hit a trail!

These boots are so comfortable. They're terrific for long walks and hiking since they're not exceptionally heavy like some hiking boots can be. My only criticism (and it's a small one) is that the ridges on the bottom of the boot catch many pebbles. I take them off before I get into my house to knock the pebbles out. Otherwise I have only good things to say about these. I actually own 2 pairs in different colors.

Boot comfortable from Day#1. My shoe size is 7 narrow but for hiking with liner and wool sock, a 7 1/2 Medium gave the best comfort fit. Have had one year. Never a blister nor rash. Excellent ankle support. Solid and overall supportive boot. Have hiked through mud and puddles, waterproofing works! Easy clean off when wet. Love the boots, prefer to wear even when walking distances. Attractive style.

Shooping at LLbean, you can't go wrong! The boots are absoluty perfect: design, weight and functional. Love it!

Excellent. Ordered my regular size the first time, but my toes rubbed. Ordered a half size larger and they're perfect.

I wanted to replace my old LL Bean work boots that I have had for a few years- leather/gortex with vibrum soles. I can walk miles in a day for botanical studies- need something water proof for wet dewy mornings and something light to keep going at the end of the day. The vibrum soles started to give the ball of my foot pain, so I wanted something with more cushion but still up to the job. I decided with the trail model hiker 4, but after reading the reviews, I was worried that they weren't waterproof enough (one review said they got wet feet walking across the lawn?). I decided to try them anyway, and took them out on a long hike in a rainstorm. Not only were they very comfortable- no foot pain, but my feet also stayed completely dry. I ordered a half-size larger so that I can wear thick wool socks, and they fit well.

I like these boots. They have a good tread and are substantial enough for rocky, uneven trails. They were comfortable from the get go, didn't need to break them in. They're a real improvement over the earlier version and those were pretty good.

They fit just perfect. I was afraid that they would be stiff and hurt the first time wearing them. But they were not.

I bought these for my daughter. She likes the look of them, and says they are sturdy and comfortable for hikes. The sizing was a little difficult. She's normally a size 7, but we exchanged them for a 7 1/2 so that she's have some more room for heavier socks.

These were a gift for my California daughter. She loves them. Wide sizing availability was important, and she says they are super comfortable and totally waterproof!

Love these boots. Very comfortable, yet supportive for a good hike. And big enough for my arch supports if we will be out all day.

Great hiking boots. Good stability and good tread. Definitely worth the cost.

These boots are great, I have a 12 1/2 acre property to care for, and it keeps my feet dry, and helps with up, and down hills, etc.
