These boots are good mix of comfort along with providing ankle and arch support.

Great waterproof boot. Definitely runs big but that means you can fit some big socks. Perfect for dog walks and hikes.

Rookie mistake taking these out on a long Texas hike fresh out of the box, but they were Maine tough and served me well!

I convinced my wife to purchase a sturdy shoe. We live in the country where uneven surfaces abound. Good support is a must for us seniors. I must have purchased oh 10 pair or more over the years. I was delighted that she took my recommendation. I am positive she will be pleasantly surprised. Just can't say enough about this product. As in pas reviews I still wish the shoe were lighter.

This hiker boot is perfect for me. Whether hiking or gardening it provides the stability and cushioning I need. Great teeth on bottom for gripping. I love it and would recommend. Just remember to keep the side tabs of the tongue facing outward to avoid rubbing on your leg. Problem solved! I used my running shoe size of 9 wide. I am delighted that Beans has this in wide.

This is the second pair of these hiking boots for me. They are a great fit with excellent support.

I am a college student in Southern Vermont. I wore these boots for 9 months in the rain, snow, hiking, and warm weather - practically every day. I hike up and down the hills and on the trails while at college including off road. I also participate in some mountain climbing trips. These boots kept my feet comfortable, dry, and protected. I wore them until the inside materials gave out and I started to get blisters on my heels. I am back for a new pair please for the next academic year! Thank you LL BEAN.

Comfort from Day 1. I bought these shoes to do some hiking in the Pacific Northwest. I was able to walk on rocky terrain, wet & dry dirt, and in sand with ease. My feet has plenty of room inside the shoe and I had no blisters or rubbing issues. Highly recommend if you have any sort of hiking planned.

Best hiking boots. The size is perfect. My feet are warm and cozy while hiking. I hike almost everyday at South Mountain reservation in Essex County, New Jersey.

Had a much older version of these that lasted 10+ years - new version is very lightweight and comfortable with the same great ankle support and waterproofing.

The unexpected bonus: having only a single hook closure at the top makes these super fast to get into and out of. It's there in the picture but not mentioned in the text. Love that small bonus! They're comfy because I accidentally ordered a size too big ;-) but with my thickest socks these work great, no sore spots.

Bought these for a trip in the fall. They fit well and I ordered for a wide foot. They lace up snugly around the ankle which provided the support I need. I have been wearing them with an arch support insert to break them in for my trip. The color is attractive and when my jeans cover them, it looks like I'm wearing tennis shoes not hiking boots.
