I bought these boots for work a couple of weeks ago, and they fit perfectly. I am on my feet a lot during the summer because I work at an amusement park, doing the gardening and landscaping, and these boots fit comfortably and are waterproof as described. The traction on the bottom of the boots is also good for if I want to go hiking wearing these same shoes. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

A very well made boot so I gave it five stars but I had to return it as it was not wide enough for my foot.

These hikers are stiff to start so plan a break in period.

I ordered wide width which is not incredibly wide but just enough to be comfortable. Not many of the woman's hikers are in wide. Just allows more comfort, personal preference. I also like the blue color.

Boots are rugged, with a strong sole (bottom), lightweight and comfortable. I am slowly breaking them in for hiking season. Only thing that is uncomfortable is above the ankle after I tie the laces . I'm hoping that after a while the leather will soften and it will be more comfortable.

These boots felt so good from the minute I put them on. They aren't stiff but make your feet feel supported. I love the color and look forward to many miles with them. I would definitely recommend them. East coast Massachusetts.

Not was warm as my previous boots but comfortable and good gripping soles. I am glad I got them.

Didnt realize these boots were water proof when I bought them, so that feature is a super plus! The fit is very good...size 11... (my feet said, " Ah, thank you !" when I put them on). The quality is excellent, style is very good, and the overall quality is outstanding. Great buy for the money!

I bought these for work as I need ankle support and I'm on my feet walking all day. I loved them so much I brought a second pair to wear when I go out for a walk, shopping, or any errand that I have to do. Very comfortable right from the start.

Lightweight boot is very comfortable. I assumed that I would be breaking them in for quite a while but they fit very well from the beginning. I have not used them in the field yet but cannot imagine they will not work well. The price was also fantastic for the quality of the shoe.

I got these for my disabled sister because SHE wanted new sneakers and I wanted for her to have better ankle supportI'm the Older Sister and Mom put me In Charge of her 50 years ago and I haven't given up my role. Anyway, she LOVES these Model 4 Hiking Boots. She went on a recent trip to visit family in Arizona and said that they were PERFECT for all of the walking they did in that Terrain. True to Size according to her. Really nice looking with good protection of the ankle.

Replaced a pair that was over 28 years old and very well used best boots for long days on your feet!

Looks good, fits well - They'll be tested when I walk a few short ways to break them in. Very stiff.

Hiking boots fit well and support the ankle. I had been using sneakers until I bought these and they have much better traction and support, but are as comfortable as sneakers. Love them

This is my second pair of Trail Model 4s. I wish they came in other colors so I could order those. These are so comfortable! I bought my first pair right before a big birding trip and took them as my second pair, since I hadn't broken them in yet. I wore them the second day of the trip and never wore my other hikers for the rest of the trip.

I have worn these boots hiking all summer and into the fall. Through all kinds of terrain including mud. The best hikers ever. Comfortable, easy to clean. They are now back in the box waiting for next Spring. Can't wait to get out on the trail again!

What can I say that pictures do not? This style of LL Bean Boots have been my 'go to' boots for many , many years. I'm not a hiker, trekker or any other specific outdoors person. I am a senior woman, ugh when did that happen, that does all kinds of outdoor things. You may find me working in my small pumpkin patch, walking in our woods, rolling in leaves or climbing trees with our grandchildren, exploring the sand dunes of Michigan or walking along the shores of any one of the beautiful Great Lakes that surround Michigan. With all of these things I have always needed waterproof boots and excellent support for my ankles and feet that are affected by rheumatoid arthritis. What a find 25 +/- years ago when I bought my 1st pair of LL Bean Boots. They have always been super comfortable and still are; I still wear them occasionally and use them as the standard for all other boots, yes, I have strayed to other brands and made someone at Goodwill happy because I sure wasn't! I guess the bottom line of my review is look at the pictures. My new boots were like putting on an old favorite right out of the box, there was no miserable break in period or need to try different socks, just lace up and go. They are definitely waterproof, except when the waves of Lake Michigan sneak up and go over the top of them, up to my knees, but no worries my husband's boot driers had them ready to go I no time. Of course, I did have a spare pair, a bit small, just in case. Which brings me to why I have such a collection . . . with rheumatoid many joints change often and for me that includes my feet and ankles. I remedy that by changing the size or width of my boots and am so fortunate that LL Bean fills that need as well. Thank you LL Bean for this boot design! Now you may never change it, stop producing and selling it or go out of business without giving your customers a chance to stock up on a lifetime supply of boots! People, if you want a boot that provides comfort out of the box, is waterproof and will last a long time THIS is your boot! Enjoy every minute in them because life is short and too good to waste.
