I bought these boots for my wife . We were planning a trip to the Grand Canyon and I wanted her to have some reliable and sturdy shoes. She loves the boots. They are comfortable and sturdy.

These fit me correctly and are surprisingly comfortable I appreciate the fact they look like athletic shoes.

Love everything about these shoes and plan to purchase another pair in a different color. I especially appreciate the wide width which is perfect to accommodate bunions!

Have looked for stylish hiking shoes and should have known that LL Bean would be the place to go before I got these. Haven't done a big walk or hike in them yet but just wearing them around they're comfortable and feel like they'll do the job.

This shoe has cushioning and support and isn't too heavy. Good grip while trail hiking.

I have bad knees and need a solid supportive shoe. I have my own orthotics and simply take out the insert that comes with it and put in my own. I use these for walking on rough ground to feed horses. I like that they seem to last longer than regular tennis shoes that cost the same. I have the same shoe in the thinsulate lined version and two pair of the high top boots for winter.

Hiked for a week in Iceland and my feet never got wet!

These shoes are the best shoes I have had for walking. Comfortable, with lots of cushion support. They have helped me to continue walking in spite of knee pain.

These are the BEST sneakers I have EVER bought in my entire life. They are comfortable and long lasting. They are truly waterproof unless you end up going into a monsoon. While other sneakers fail you these will keep you dry when it rains. I just bought these a second time after buying these exact pair 2 years ago.

L.L. Bean Trail Model shoes are the only shoes I've been wearing all day, every day for nearly 10 years. So glad I finally found shoes that are so perfect for me. My work involves continuous physical activity. These shoes support my feet so well, preventing my knees and hips from ever aching!

To avoid back pain, I need a sturdy shoe with good solid heel support for any long distance walking, such as daily walks with my dog, grocery shopping, home improvement stores, etc. This shoe fit the bill right out of the box. Just ordered another pair to have on hand when these wear out, before the product is changed.

I live on a dirt/gravel road. I need a sturdy walking shoe to navigate the grave, and wash boarding. since I also walk in the winter, they will be great for those rainy and snowy days. These walking/hiking shoes are perfect. Very comfortable, sturdy, and supportive. I absolutely love them.

The shoes were very well-made, but were a bit too "heavy-duty" for what I needed them for - made more for hiking than just lighter-weight walking shoes. If I were going somewhere where I knew I would be doing some serious hiking, I would purchase these shoes.

These shoes are very comfortable and durable. They are very well made. My wife is on her feet most of the day. These shoes are exactly what she needed. Her feet feel much better at the end of the day.

This is the third pair (different colors) I've owned. Simply love them Hope they come out with new colors. Loved the purple pair I had, but wore them out.

I am very happy with these shoes: sturdy, comfortable, and reliably waterproof. Sized to wear with hiking socks. Good-looking, too, which is a nice plus. (I got the dark blue.)

The shoes are excellent quality; however, they were very stiff and I developed some sores and callouses until they were broken it. Once broken it, they were very comfortable.

I love these lower hiking shoes. I have the higher hiking shoes an sneaker boots too. I am ready for all kinds of weather. The shoes are a little pricey but you get terrific shoes from L.L. Bean. The fit is great an so is waterproof feature.

My second choice for color was the one I received not the one shown...but I love these hikers..beautiful..warm..waterproof and so comfy..does not dissappoint..not in looks or comfort. Give them a try..worth it.

I am thrilled with my purchase. These "hikers" are perfect for daily walks and hilly hikes. In fact I appreciate how firm and stable my feet felt when hiking on uneven terrain. Well done, LL Bean! I am a very happy customer!

So pleased hiking shoe/boot fit perfectly. I walked around the house two days prior to my 3 mile walk. The shoes were a bit tight at first, but after my house trial, they were perfect for my Monday morning walk/hike.

LOVE these hiking shoes. I bought them for a camping trip and was worried because some of the reviews complained about stiffness and being uncomfortable. Do they need to break in? Yes, but they aren't so stiff that they're uncomfortable. Looking forward to wearing them often this summer.

They were comfortable from the very beginning. I did not need to break them in at all. I wear them with LLBean mid weight hiking socks and could wear them all day. They are waterproof too.
