Supportive, waterproof, and can wear them for a long walk, or hike. No breaking in needed. I will be buying more. My knees are a little sensitive so I seek out shoes that are the most comfortable.

I love these shoes! This is the third pair I have bought. They stand up well with rough terrain and the waterproofing keeps your feet dry. I have never had trouble with the shoe size. I order my size and it fits!

Our home Sedona Red Rocks beckon, and these low hikers deliver! Great traction, comfort, and style.

This is the best hiking/ walking shoe on any market. I walk daily. Previously, I had to replace shoes every 6 months. L L Bean Hiker last more than 2 years and provide better support and endurance than any other shoe I have purchased for walking.

I love the support and the flexibility of this low hiking shoe. I wear it on snow right now and will wear it on the trails in and out of the woods with various types of surfaces. It is a very nice looking shoe too. I love the comfort and the versatility. It has the support I need to protect my feet.

May need a half size larger as the heel padding at the top of the shoe comes forward putting some pressure at the Achilles' tendon. I wear a medium width and with the larger size, I had plenty of room for a thinner sock as well as a thicker sock. Beautifully made, very best quality. These will perform well and last a long time! Thank you!

This is my 5th pair. I have foot and back problems and these are the only thing I have found that give me the support that I need. I add my own arch supports although the ones that come in the shoe are pretty good. I buy a 7 1/2 W. Because I have bunions I still have to use a shoe stretcher on the right one for quite a while before I can wear them but it is worth it. I don't wear them for dress but every day all day. Need to be just a little bit wider and need more shoes in a W. I would love to see a women's basic brown pair without the bright color trim.

Love the fit of these sneakers and the fact that they are water proof. Great for walking the dog!

Great shoes. Sturdy and comfortable with claw like gripping on snow and ice. Can't speak to the waterproofing yet, but I'm guessing my feet will be dry in these.

Love them as much as the boot version. They last forever.

As mentioned in my 12/6/20 review, this model and size of shoe has been a favorite, worn daily for several miles in a New England climate. I just ordered and received my third pair, size 9W, in 5 years and regret that the width of the shoe feels narrower than the shoes I received in 2017 and 2020. There was no equivalent size (7W) in the men's version for an exchange rather than return. The burgundy color of this model is attractive and I am disappointed that I have to begin the search for another shoe/size that will work as well for me as this model/size.

I have neuropathy, tendonitis, and arthritis in my foot. My doctor recommended more supportive shoes, so I looked at hiking shoes. Wow, what a difference these have made! It took about a week to get used to the added weight, as they are heavier than the sneakers I was wearing, but I can wear these all day without my feet aching! No more rubbing the ball of my foot at day's end. I bought two pairs so I can swap them out. They are the only shoes I wear on a day to day basis. I also bought a pair of the taller hiking boots in the same style for trail walking. Please, LL Bean, do not change the style of these shoes! They solved my foot problems! PS - I also bought a pair of the Trail Hiker 4 Ventilated shoes - just as comfortable, but they run a little long, not enough to go a half-size smaller.

This is my second pair. Very comfortable & great for keeping my feet dry when I walk my German Shepherd.

I like the fit of Keen hikers because of the extra toe room. These don't have quite as much room, but the extra is perfect.

These shoes are great for the winter! They're warm and grip ice much better than regular shoes

For my foot, they will need "breaking in" before I take a long hike. They have a great tread design, and I predict they will be a good cool weather/wet weather hiker. (Warmer on my feet than the identical non-water-proof model I wear.)

Comfortable, Very Stable , Great Traction and I bought them so I would not have to wear boots as often and to keep my sneakers from getting wet and muddy.

It makes no sense to ask how I like these shoes after only a month. They fit fine and are sturdy and look good. Ask me how they handle once the winter and spring rainy seasons are over. Better review then.

Although these hiking sneakers are a bit stiff at first, they are super supportive and comfortable! My first pair of the Trail Model Hiker Waterproof lasted me three years and I can still wear them.. I walk 4-6 miles daily in them and love the support they offer! I am a size 7 to 7-1/2 and like the fit of the size 7-1/2

they fit well, true to size, color is great - rich burgundy. I use them as my gardening shoes. They are sturdy, water-proof. I've had them before. They hold up well.

These are great comfortable shoes! I love the wide width and length on the size 9 I purchased. Perfect for my feet in the northeast. Please keep them coming and I will keep coming back. I would not change a thing on the design or fit. I love the colors also.Thank you LL Bean for helping me to bean outsider! I am most grateful!
