These hiking shoes fit perfectly from the moment I put them on. I really got them for back-country hiking, but they are so comfortable, I wear them on all my walks around the neighborhood. Bonus: they actually look good on! Not clunky. These are my new go-to hiking shoe. I love them so much, I've already recommended them to other women looking for a good shoe.

I bought a pair of these shoes earlier in the Fall and have just ordered a second pair, in case they are not available in the future when I need replacements. The size was perfect, even with a variety of socks, neither too snug nor too loose. The soles are excellent for a safe grip in all weathers, including light snow. I also use trekking poles, so I have enjoyable daily hikes, with or without the poles, and I can forget about my feet knowing that they are safe and comfortable. The laces pull up firmly so that my feet feel really comfortable before I start out. The shoes look good and I liked the choices of colors. These reliable shoes have added great pleasure to being able to hike in all weather and not wanting an excuse not to go out!

I have a pair of these that I've had for about 5 years. They fit right out of the box, are very supportive, and needed basically no breaking in. I just bought another pair because my old ones weren't cutting it anymore on long hikes and camping weekends. Absolutely love them! I had the same experience with the new pair. We just recently went camping and it was rainy and my feet were toasty and dry. I do wear a medium weight wool sock (such as Smartwool) with them. Now I'm using the old ones for doing work outside my house!

I love these hikers! This is my second pair. They are definitely waterproof, super warm, and perfect for walking around my farm where the terrain is uneven and can be quite wet. They also look really cool with jeans.

I am really happy with my new shoes. I'm a woman, almost 60, and love that these shoes are sturdy and they give me confidence as I go on my daily walks. Living in New England, requires these warm but comfortable shoes. I'm happy to do business with LLBean!! They are a great company to support! I really love the souls.

Bought these for my wife after I had been wearing the men's version for several months. She agrees with me that these are great shoes.

It fits like a glove, except it is my feet! Comfortable, sturdy and they are waterproof if you have to cross a stream!

After 3.5 years of daily wear including Costa Rica, Cinque Terre and closer-to-home hiking, I write this review after this morning's walk on ice and through puddles. While the shoes understandably show wear, they continue to fit and function well. The waterproofing is still working. I have a very wide forefoot and a narrow heel, but these shoes have fit well from the beginning. I decided to order a second pair this year while they remain available to replace the 2017 shoes when they wear out, but so far the new ones are still in the box. This shoe has exceeded my expectations in quality and longevity based on the previous brand of shoes I was wearing.

Nice looking. Only sneaker to fit right, I have a very wide foot. Took awhile to break them
in, they were very stiff. Still the best so far for me.

The Women's Trail Model Waterproof Hiking Shoes are exactly as described. A lot of my job requires me to be outside in all weather, I've crossed our campus lawns in the rain multiple times and these hikers have kept my feet completely dry. The hikers feel sturdy and have a good grip on hilly terrain, no slipping. Also, the carbon/teal color is beautiful. These hikers are stiff for the first few wears and can rub on your ankles but once broken in they are very comfortable and worth the break in period. Very happy with this purchase.

These shoes were perfect from the start, didn't need to "break them in." My husband has similar ones purchased years ago, which are still in great shape and he is HARD on shoes. I'd been envying his and am so glad these were available.

This is the 2nd pair of these I've bought because the first pair were so comfortable. I have a lot of problems with my feet - bunions, hammer toe. Because of these I order shoes 1/2 size larger and wide. But wide shoes are frequently hard to find. After working and walking all day in these my feet do not hurt. What a miracle!

I've been looking for a lightweight, sturdy hiking shoe to wear on walks instead of sneakers. After buying (& returning) 2 pairs from other retailers, these ones from LLBean are a win. Comfortable. Supportive. Lightweight. I look forward to wearing these instead of sneakers!

The thick padding around the ankle is very comfortable and supportive. It hugs the ankle perfectly for my feet.
I put them on and walked for about 90 minutes outdoors on natural ground and they were perfect. No breaking in needed for me.
I think I've found my perfect walking/hiking shoe for hopefully many years!

I bought these to take my dog walking on trails. I found that they fit great and are true to size. They do feel a little stiff but I find that I am not getting the pain in my foot and ankle that I get while wearing traditional sneakers. These shoes offer great support.

I am obsessed with these shoes. This is my 3rd pair. My first pair is the hightop waterproof, for the wintertime. My second pair is the lowtop vented for summer running around and now I have the lowtop waterproof for my summertime hiking. True to size and width and the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Do not ever stop making these shoes. LOVE THEM!

So glad to be able to find these hikers, again. They provide a firm supportive base and all around support for someone with plantar fasciitis, preventing pain with walking and hiking. No worries when stepping in puddles, they are waterproof and work well.
They were tight when I first put them on, but have stretched enough to be very comfortable. Would love to find them in lighter colors. They are a little on the expensive side, but I really wear them longer then most hikers, if they are made the same as the last 2 pairs I had.
May buy another pair, since I am hard to fit with VERY wide, small feet.

Haven't had a chance to test water "proofedness" but comfortable and firm fit. Looking forward to hiking when it gets cooler here !

I initially bought this shoe as a 7B size. I had tried it on in the store and thought it was okay. However, as time went by, my 4th toe on each foot began to form a corn --I think. It was red and raised over the toe knuckle. When I decided that the shoe was too narrow, I called Bean and they exchanged it with the wide version (7D) (which I bought) and refunded the cost of the original shoe. I was able to return it at no cost to me. I am VERY happy with this shoe now which I primarily use for gardening.

I have worn them to walk the dogs on pavement to try them out. The fit, the support, the weight are all good. Can hardly wait to get into hiking. I had an older pair from LLBean that I wore a lot but they were too tight in the toe box even though I had ordered a longer size. For this pair I went up another half size and ordered the wide since that is what I wear in all my shoes. Perfect fit now.
