I love these boots! I picked the fur lined ones because I appreciated how their lining remained more structured than the plain leather. A few weeks in and I am happy with the material quality, although I am still a little worried the leather will soften up a bit faster than I would have hoped for. However for the price point, and overall quality I would recommend. KEEP IN MIND - These aren't waterproof like the original leather ones are.

Love them! Had to size down 1 size. Wish they were a smidge tighter on the ankles but love them!

The boot was very comfortable felt like a slipper instead of a boot. Unfortunately it was shipped without the shoelaces

While I love my boots there are a few things that I'm not happy with. To say they are Sherling lined implies that the whole boot is and it isn't. Only the shaft. The entire footbed only has a very thin liner of some sort and they are not warm. The other poor area is the insole. They are flimsy and makes the boot very uncomfortable to wear several hours. When I purchased them in the store I was never told there was a sherling insole. So I had to go back and purchase them and was told to buy the wrong size. So I had to go exchange them for the right size. The staff at Colonie Center is very nice and helpful but the shoe department staff needs a bit of training.

I had a 10" Shearling-Lined Bean boots, and the fur was inside the whole boot. I hoped that these new boots would have the same type of lining, but they have fur just above the rubber part. I'd rather had my foot sitting inside a cozy fur "sock" to keep my toes warm. I was wearing them at 30F and they kept my feet warm though. The bottom line - they are sturdy and comfortable.

Would have given 5 stars if these came in the 6" height! Hoping they come out too! I would love both with the shearling lining and tumbled leather!!!

THANK YOU, KELLY for making my boots - I love them! I have wide feet and usually wear 7.5 in minimalist/barefoot street shoes, and 7.5-8 in minimalist running shoes (I do wear socks). My right foot is a little wider than my left due to a developing bunion. Got this in size 7 wide, intending to wear light/medium-weight socks. Wore these out for the first time today while shoveling after a nor'easter - was SO happy in these boots the entire time (~1.5 hours, 20-degree weather not including wind chill). The tumbled leather is super soft right out of the box. No break-in needed. The ankle/leg area is much more flexible than the non-tumbled leather Bean boot - I feel more agile in these (important for winter walking, driving and going up and down stairs!). Unlike what some of the reviews here say, the foot area actually IS lined - The shearling lining transitions into Thinsulate around the ankle area (Smart material choice, I think). There is a seam at the transition; I haven't experience any discomfort/rubbing. The Thinsulate lines the entire foot/toe area including the rubber part. Wearing thin/medium-weight Injinji toe socks, my legs and feet felt warm/cozy the entire time, but did not get sweaty. The Thinsulate definitely makes the fit more snug - if the D width was not an option, I would not be able to wear these. The right foot feels like it's *possibly* on the verge of being too snug, but (after trying on a bunch of different Bean Boot models/sizes/widths), I think the fit in the heel would be too big if I sized up in these; I suspect it will feel less snug after the lining compresses a bit. I might also be hyper-conscious of anything "caging" my feet in, since I usually wear minimalist/barefoot shoes...I only notice the snugness if I really pay attention; I didn't notice it while out shoveling today. These actually look pretty good/not chunky on my short legs (I'm 5'1"), especially considering they are lined/insulated boots. For normal wear, I plan on lacing up to the second to last set of eyelets b/c I think it looks better that way - The laces are long enough for me to tie normally here. For things like shoveling/walking in deeper snow, I'll lace all the way to the top to prevent snow from falling into the boot - the laces are pretty stubby at this point and might be hard for someone with less manual dexterity to tie. Love the golden hue of the shearling - not too light, not too dark; even coloring. Overall, super happy and excited to take on winter with these!

These are the warmest and most waterproof boots I've owned. The things I don't like are the lack of cushioning on the bottom; there's not much there and I can feel everything on the ground when walking. The laces are very stiff and hard to keep tied but will hopefully soften with time. I'm going to add a padded insert and possibly replace the laces because I do like the warmth and dryness of these boots.

Love the actual boots, however they boots arrived in the same box that they are to be stored in literally thrown in the box with one thin piece of plastic. I complained and they sent me a new pair shipped exactly the same way very poor presentation for the price you're paying for the boots. Most people store them seasonally in the original box when not wearing. Box was beat up due to shipping.

I usually wear a shoe size 7.5/8 and wear a size 6 in all bean boots. They are comfortable, cute, and complimentary with any outfit. HOWEVER they aren't warm by any means... don't let the fur fool you. I've warm these on multiple Maine winter occasions and my feet FROZE. They're 100% not worth the price you pay for them, especially if you're expecting to keep your feet warm. That was disappointing..

I love these boots! They are so warm and cozy! Problem is the 6 fit just a little too tight, and the 7 felt too big. Problem might have been solved with a thicker sock, but with the shearling lining, they are already plenty warm without a thick sock. I'm a 7 in every other shoe I own, but with these the 6 was closer to my size. Maybe the shearling would have flattened a bit over time to give a little more room, but these are a bit pricey, and I didn't want to risk it, so I had to return them. Ended up keeping the pair lined with the blue, black, green flannel in the size 6. With that pair, I can wear thick or thin socks comfortably and they are really cute. If you're a 6 1/2, the 6 in the shearling pair will be great for you!

I'm a Californian who recently relocated to the Midwest and I must say these boots are worth the money. I've owned my boots for a month and have worn them almost a dozen times. They keep my feet dry and warm and the biggest plus is the style looks great with jeans or leggings. I'm on the short side and the 8" shaft helps elongate my legs. While the shoes are comfortable, I do recommend sizing down and even using an insole to fill up any extra space.

I usually wear 8, and I wish I ordered 7. Even with a pair of thick wool socks, it's not a snug fit. However the lining keeps my feet warm in the cold Michigan weather!

Love this fur lined boot! It's so warm and comfortable with the exception of the width. Ordered size 8, but the toe box is narrow and I need to exchange it for an 8 wide....fingers crossed they are not out of stock after Christmas!

:Love these boots, but wish you had stuffed a little shearling into the toe area. I had on double socks and my toes got cold. I can work around that though. This is my 2nd pair of Bean Boots. A few years ago I bought the unlined ones and love them too. PS - I love all LL Bean products!

Just not as comfortable as I was hoping. It may have helped to put a foot liner for some softer padding. Very well made.

These are obviously a high-quality pair of boots! Unfortunately, I have a "narrow heel" and so my heel slid around a lot, so had to return them. Quality was perfect!

These are sturdy, comfy, long-lasting boots....BUT, it's important to emphasize that ONLY the ankle shaft is shearling-lined. The feet themselves are not, and the rubber provides next to no insulation. My first winter wearing these, my feet were always freezing and I felt like a fool for spending so much money on boots that didn't keep me warm. THE SOLUTION: LLBean shearling insoles! They're cheap and fit well inside the boot and completely did the trick. My whole foot (not just ankle) is now toasty. The other problem is that the rubber soles don't have great traction on very icy sidewalks. No solution to this (aside from adding yaxtrax when I really need to walk). Ultimately, these are good, cozy boots that will last you a long long time...but they are not perfect.

I just got these booties today and oh my gosh they are huge even for size 7 (wide). I wear a size 6.5 and sometimes 7 (depending on the brand). I wanted to go up a size and got 7 wide so I can wear thicker socks. I tried them on with normal long socks and they were really really big. I also tried thick wool socks and they were still very big. HOWEVER, the quality is there. (super warm and super comfortable) I did notice that the boots look chunky and big on me. (I am roughly 5'5) My mom is 5'11 and she tried the boots on and she looked great in them. I might return them for a size 6 and normal wide.

I never write reviews, though I really should because these are the best things to read when shopping online for something as tricky as boots. First, I want to say thank you to all the other reviewers who indicated that THESE RUN BIG. Ignore what the recommended sizing says. I'm a 7 wide and the recommendation was to go with my regular shoe size. After reading through pages and pages of reviews the general consensus I saw was that these run big. Nervously, I ordered a 6 W - a full size smaller than my normal size. I am VERY happy to say that this fit me perfectly with medium weight socks! I could probably get away with heavyweight socks too, though it may be a tad more snug. Lengthwise, they're perfect. I don't think I've ever had a pair of boots that fit me this well! I took a star off (let's call it half a star) for sizing and price, but honestly ladies... The price is worth it. The leather and shearling are both so so soft, these boots feel like they're broken in from day one. I can see these being an amazing investment for years to come.

I would have given these 5 stars if the fur went all the way down onto the foot but instead it stops at the leather. I originally ordered a size smaller (7W) than my normal 8 M. I ended up exchanging for 8W and they are great. Roomy enough for thick socks. I've worn them all day at work and they are comfy and warm. (Sometimes a little sweaty).

I finally decided to pull the trigger, and treat myself to my very first pair of Bean Boots with their 25% off promo! I ignored the sizing suggestion (after much stress, LOL!) and went with my true size of 10 and they fit perfect with medium socks. My only complaint is for the price, I wish they were a little warmer, and the fur lining was more plush. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase!

So I love these boots! I've been wanting them for such a long time now and finally decided to spend the money and get them. I wouldn't follow their size guide though. I'm normally a 7 and it said to order a 7 if you wear medium-thick socks so I did and my feet were swimming in the boots. They were just way too big. So I exchanged them for a size 6 which fit much better! My only complaint with the boots are that one boot has more shearling in it than the other boot so that one boot is always tighter than the other. I know one foot is always bigger than the other but this only adds to the problem. It drives me insane because it feels odd and then I have to tie one boot so much tighter than the other and if I try to tie them so visually the tightness looks even (my OCD kicking in, lol) the one with more wool's laces are too short to fully tie a normal knot and it bothers me so much. I've actually considered trying to shave the wool down myself to make it even but am afraid of ruining the boot. I know the boots are all hand made so not every pair might have this problem but just something I've experienced in both the size 7 i returned and my current pair. Overall they are very warm, very cozy, and I absolutely recommend them to anyone thinking of getting them!
