I ordered these boots in January and just got them yesterday since they were on back order. I absolutely love them! The leather is so soft and the fit is just right. I normally wear a size 9. I ordered a size down. I probably would've been ok with a size 9 for these boots however, size 8 with the shearling just means I can wear regular socks. I cannot wait to wear these in snow and the rain! The laces could be a little shorter but it's not a big deal. I also bought the natural beeswax that the video on how to take care of your bean boots recommended. The fit is great. The lining and leather is so soft. I love them!

I am very please with the quality and comfort of the boot although I was expecting all of the interior of the boot to be lined with shearling. The foot portion is lined with fleece.

Obviously, I am in love with my bean boots. They are warm, snug, and beautiful. I can already tell we are going to get along very well for the next few years. From the tippy top to the bottom of the boots I would not change a thing about them, except maybe the price. Thanks LL Bean!

I waited three months for these boots and it was well worth the wait. These boots are incredibly warm and comfortable. They are well made and will last years.

I was outside shoveling today for nearly 2 hours in a combination snow/sleet Nor'Easter. It was about 10" deep in the drifts. When I came inside I went directly to the clothes dryer to throw in everything I was wearing because everything was soaked... that is everything except my socks, thanks to my new boots. My brother and his wife gave me a pair of L.L. Bean boots for Christmas, which fortunately didn't fit. I say fortunately because when I exchanged them I decided to upgrade to the tumbled leather shearling lined boots; I am so glad I did. My least favorite part of getting new boots is the breaking-in period, but L.L. Bean eliminated that with the tumbled leather. The first time I put them on they felt like I'd owned them for years. It was like I had put new laces on my favorite broken-in-just-right boots. Now it seems that the plow went by and buried the end of the driveway again, so I have to get everything out of the dryer and lace up my boots to go out and shovel some more... and we're supposed to get another 3" by morning. Given the winter we're having these boots could not have come at a better time.

I had to wait a while for these, they were on backorder almost as soon as they came out this season! I took that to mean they were some pretty amazing boots...and I couldn't be more satisfied. I normally wear an 8 and took LL Beans recommendation to order a size down. They fit perfectly! I wear with regular to mid weight socks and they keep my feet so warm and dry! There was no break in time at all. I wore them all day with unbelievable comfort. I have had plantar fasciitis issues in the past and these provide plenty of support and my feet are happy even after a long days work! Thank you!

I just got these boots and love them. I tried the 10 inch shearling boot before and returned because I didn't like how heavy they felt and my feet got cold . I am glad a bought these ones. They are not heavy or bulky. I suffer from cold feet and these boots keep my feet toasty.

I'm walking on clouds! Seriously, these things feel like huge, warm, fuzzy slippers. I adore them! I've been searching for snow boots forever and I have found the PERFECT pair in these. Ok, first things first. I normally wear a size 8.5 and my boots are a size 7. They fit fantastically, even with thick socks. So, be sure to order a size and 1/2 down if you are ordering them online and cannot try them on first. The shearling lining is divine. They keep my feet warm. I'm able to tuck my jeans into the boots easily. The leather is soft to the touch and a lovely warm brown color. My only complaint would have to be about the laces. They are far too stiff. I can barely tie them. However, everything else about these boots is GREAT! Get you some!

these boots are perfect for NYC Winter storms. I originally bought the 10" shearling-lined boots but they were SO thick, they were a bit too heavy duty. These are perfect for the 4-9 inches of city snow that we usually get in New York. My feet stay dry and warm through the slush-storms and the powdery snow. I also wear them with wool socks to added comfort and warmth (also, normal socks slip down too easily). Highly recommend these!

I have the 10" shearling boot and now I have these. I like them both, but of course these are way softer. I also like that they are a little shorter at 8" so they are easier and quicker to put on than the 10". It would be nice if they came in different colors. I know my size in Bean boots so that wasn't an issue. This time I did order a 7 w and I usually wear in regular shoes a 7.5 or an 8. I can wear an 7 regular in bean boots, but sometimes with thick socks they feel too narrow. I have some what wide feet, but usually wear regular(not wide) shoes. Again these are a good buy as all Bean Boots..get them before they all sell out.

I've had LL Bean boots forever. Several different styles as a matter of fact. These are BY FAR the most comfortable and warmest version I've ever owned. I usually wear an 8 1/2 or 9 depending upon the shoe. I ordered the 8 and they fit perfectly with a little room for a heavy sock. These are now my "go to" boots!

When I ordered these they were on back order but they were EXACTLY what I wanted so I figured it was worth the wait. I received an email, a week before the original ship date, telling me that the ship date was pushed back even further (originally Jan 10th switched to Jan 21)! I was kind of angry about it but to my surprise they came the next week! IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! These boots are amazing in the snow! I have been using my Sorel Caribou boots and they are SO heavy and pain to wear all day. If I wear boots because of the snow I wear them all day, I am not the type of person to change my shoes while inside at my office and put boots back on just to go to my car. These boots are perfect, they are lightweight but keep my feet super warm (not too warm to wear all day). I am really glad I waited and got the shearling lined ones, I have had other bean boots and they definitely aren't warm enough to be out in the cold for more than 10 minutes. BUY. THESE. BOOTS. you won't regret it.

They came in the mail 10 minutes ago and I'm in love !! the fur is so soft and i ordered my original size and they were a little roomie but nothing to complain about! they were worth every penny and they will last me my whole life! I'm Very happy with the free shipping they came in 2 business days. I'm so happy and i cannot wait to wear them in the snow!!!

Out of the box and onto my feet! These boots are amazing. The shearling is like the cherry on top. I'm glad that the 7" lounger was to small because I really like these boots much better. The 8W which is my normal size is perfect. It's like these boots were custom made for my feet! I can even wear heavier socks if needed. I would recommend that women buy these boots in their normal size and don't go down a size which I did with the lounger. The height is great and the soft leather makes the boot feel like it is already broken in. Well worth the extra bucks. I am still old but no longer cold and afraid of falling!

I've had these boots for a couple weeks now and I absolutely love them. I intended on buying a less expensive pair but these were the only ones available to ship immediately - well worth every penny! My feet stay nice and warm and dry and the tumbled leather is incredibly soft. I was unsure of which size to order as I wear a 9 1/2 or a 10. I went with the 9 and while they are a little bit, I'm quite happy with the fit. I can throw them on with regular socks or heavy ones and I'm comfortable all day. These boots have been exactly what I need living in the deep woods in Northwest CT!

I don't usually write reviews but these boots are AMAZING! They are like walking on pillows, so comfortable and light weight. I love that they don't feel bulky like most winter boots. The leather is so soft, and the boots are well made. I took the dog for a walk in our cold, snowy Canadian winter and they were great, my feet stayed warm the whole time. The boots do run large, I would recommend ordering a size down. I am usually a size 9 and I ordered an 8, they fit perfectly with thicks socks. I love that LL Bean has free shipping to Canada, a lifetime warranty and that the boots are handmade, they really care about delivering a quality product. I mean how many companies offer that nowadays? I will definitely be telling everyone about my Beans!

I wore these on a three hour hike in the Maine woods today. My feet stayed dry and warm. I will probably get shearling insoles as the other reviewer noted because the thick shearling doesn't extend into the footbed. However, the footbed has a soft, warm lining.... Might even be shearling but it's not thick like a full shearling boot. The leather is a luxury. Very soft and makes long walks/treks comfortable. It would be indulgent to have the loungers AND these but truly, these are so comfortable I would like to have boots in this leather for spring. These are expensive but ....they are made in Maine, LLBean stands behind their products, the quality is obvious and my first pair of bean boots are 20 years old and certainly still wearable. Not to sound too vain, but these are cute. I saw three deer, a fox, and a moose today. I could see the envy in their eyes.

I typically wear a 9.5 or 10 if there are only whole sizes available, so I ordered the recommended one size down, which turned out to be perfect! They are a little loose with tights, but it's not really a problem since I'm usually just wearing them from the car into the office. And they fit nice and snug with big wool socks. The shearling lining is so soft and warm! And my toes stay warm, which I just figured was a given no matter how warm the boots were. I love them!!

I absolutely love these boots! The tumbled leather is much softer than traditional Bean boots, and the thick shearling lining is an attractive cream and brown color. My feet stay warm, dry and fashionable in cold Maine winters. As with other Bean boots size down...I usually wear an 8 1/2 or 9 but I bought an 8 and they fit perfect with thick socks. I highly recommend these to anyone!

I bought these shoes the second they came available on the website. I ordered the ones with the shearling lining. I picked them up from my local LLBean store and was immediately happy the second I put them on my feet. I already had owned the shearling insoles from LLBean - and since these boots do not have a shearling footbed (why is that LL Bean?) I added the insoles. My feet were super toasty in the 15 degree snow we had today. I paired with smart wool socks and was a happy gal. Pricey, but made well and will last forever. I don't regret the purchase at all.

I had the lower boots but wanted the higher ones for winter.

True to fit. Comfortable and durable. The laces are a little thin and hard to get truly tight enough.

I've had these boots for 4 years and the leather just split from the rubber (seams broke). LL Bean will fix them for a cost but I hate to be without them all winter. For the price, I was hoping they'd last longer. They have been, however great boots; very warm, comfortable and keep my feet dry. I'm usually a 7.5/8 and I ordered a 7. They fit great and I usually wear them with thick socks.
