According to the slip inside the box, the person that put my boots together is named Aaron. Well, the craftsmanship was subpar. The seams were haphazardly glued and misaligned, there was major overlay all around the sides, it was awful. How would this prevent a leak if there is a large gap where the rubber sole meets the upper portion of the boot? There was evidence of dried glue residue on the boot and hanging threads as well. I guess they don't care to try when the destinations are in certain zip codes.

This is my third pair of bean boots, but the first pair I bought that were shearling-lined. The first 2 month they were fantastic I loved everything about them. But the leather did not last long, it can barely hold itself up. I have to tie them so tight in order to stay up. I hardly wear them anymore because the leather looks so bad now. Very disappointed in the quality of the boots, never had this problem before. I am a very frequent buyer here but this is just disappointing.

The shearling is only on the leather part of the boot. The foot area Thinsulate. The ones that I received had a seam that rubbed through my socks and were irritating the sides of my foot. It also had leather in one side that was jutting out from the seams.

I was super excited to purchase these American-made boots because I'd heard great things about them. Sadly, I was not impressed and had to return them :( Like other reviewers have stated, the shearling lining in only around the ankles which did not provide my foot with enough insulation from the cold. The inside seams that attach the rubber to the leather feel noticeable if your socks aren't thick enough. There were also some imperfections around the outside seam (visible glue & puckering leather). I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but the insoles on my shoes did not extend throughout the toe box. It's as if my size 10 shoe had a size 9 insole in it. Not cool, especially for the hefty price tag and reputation. For me, the shoes did not provide much ankle support and the laces were a tad too short to make a bow. I REALLY wanted to love these shoes and even contemplated returning them, but they just didn't work for me. I ended up purchasing the LL Bean Wildcat Boots & the Vasque Coldspark boots which are working out much better.

Waited for these that were backordered and was so excited to get them. Have had duck boots before but something is wrong with inner seams right at the inner ankles. So painful, I couldn't keep them on but for a few minutes. I see that others had the same problem as I did. All else fit perfect. Very disappointed. Sending them back.

In just under a year of light use the inside sole is completely ripped up. The lining came out, parts of the sole poke my foot, and seams are coming undone. I am surprised and really thought these boots would last longer.

Ended up disappointed. The inside of the boot is unfinished, so the large seams rub and poke your feet. Some of the stitching was messy and sticking out, there were spots and gobs of glue in places...I'm surprised these get such good reviews, to be honest. For the price I'd expect much better craftsmanship, especially with LLBean's reputation. They're pretty, but unfortunately will have to be returned.

I was super excited to finally get a pair of LL Bean Boots. We haven't gotten much snow this winter so I've only worn these boots a handful of times. Sadly, my right foot gets wet every time I've worn these! I can't figure out where the leak is coming from, but I would like dry feet for the price of these boots. So disappointing! I want to return these but just about every other pair of boot is on backorder so I'm out of luck for this winter.
