I got a pair for each of my 2 daughters for Christmas. So impressed! A toe box for the American foot and sized for regular size with enough room for a heavy sock. Keeping feet warm and dry in record breaking -19 degrees and snow! On top of all that, the guarantee and customer service of Bean leaves nothing to be desired. A true value for winter boots that will last a lifetime.

I normally wear 8.5 wide, I got an 8 wide and it's good. They're loose but that's good for this boot. The wide is properly wide and the boot accommodates my high arch well. I even had room to put in a thicker insole. I've been wearing them for a week, I'm in northern Wisconsin and it's beendown to -15 recently with wind chills of -35. Only 2 feet of snow, but it's enough to say my feet have stayed warm. I've been traipsing about in my field and in town in the root beer sludge of the roads and the boots are handling it all. Warm and waterproof. My only negative comment is that the insoles the boots come with are pretty shabby. Like something in a slip on summer shoe. I replaced those with a pair of shearling ugg insoles and that's MUCH better. For the price and boot style, that's what should be in them anyway. Plus the boots fit better with them. I've never been a fan of the look of this style boot but I am a fan of shearling and beautiful, high quality, thick, supple, leather, which these boots have.

I'm a true 8 1/2 and the 8's fit me just right with a medium to thin cotton knee high. They look great and arrived just in time for the winter and snow season of 2017.

Very high quality materials and construction. Supple leather and soft liner give comfort, warmth and flexibility while also being durable. I've only worn them a few times, but expect them to last.

Can't say anything bad about the Iconic Bean Boots, from My own experience. However, I ordered these as an early Christmas gift for my grown daughter. She called Customer Service with a couple of questions and they were addressed. She gave me the details so I ordered them. She's thrilled & 100% satisfied due to the expert recommendations. Like Dad, she too is a " Happy Human Bean " with dry and warm feet !Since Winter has arrived we both are able to " De-feet " the COLD ! Thanks L.L.Bean !

My husband bought these boots for me for Christmas. When they arrived (3 days earlier than stated) I tried them on as I wanted to ensure they fitted probably. They fit fantastic and they feel very comfortable. The shearling fleece is so soft and the tumbled leather is really nice. I am in love.

First I'd to thank Riley, and The Boot Team at L.L.Bean for making my boots. I am very proud to own them. Let's start with the sizing, I noticed in quite a few reviews I read prior to purchasing my boots that people claimed them to not be true to size. Well that simply was not the case for me. I wear a women's size 9, and I ordered just that. Once my boots arrived I put them on, they fit perfect, with wiggle room and room for thermal socks even. A size 8 would have been way too tight, no one wants their feet cramped with no space. As I wore them out to the store they felt amazing. Very comfortable, nice and warm. The leather part is fully lined with shearling, and the rubber bottoms are lined with a quilted padding. I've never been more pleased about a pair of boots as I am with these. I fully inspected each boot inside and out as other reviewers said theirs were flawed. There were no flaws, no gobs of glue etc. just a very well crafted pair of boots. Shipping was extremely fast, it only took two days for them to arrive from Maine to Indiana. I'm very happy with my purchase and I have and will highly recommend these boots to my friends, family, and anyone that's willing to listen to me pitch my recommendation to them. :-)

Bought these for my wife, she loves them! She says they fit great and are very warm. She usually wears a size 10 and we went with a 9.

I bout these in mid-Nov(25% off!) and took 1 week to arrive. No problem. I wear size 7.5 or 8 normally but have extremely wide feet. I read all of the reviews and ordered size 7 wide. I opened the box immediately and tried with very thin socks. I felt the boots were just my size and no room in the toe area, so though I had to exchange. But wait a sec,,, I gave them a try. I pulled out the thicker socks and thickest socks from my drawer, then tried thicker socks first. "Oh, fits well". I tried with thickest socks "oh wow... fits very well and comfy". I even tried with 2 layers of thicker socks and thickest socks and the boots still fits and felt no tight at all but good hold!!! I love these boots. Just recommend to order a half - 1 size smaller pair from your normal size.

Perfect timing! The boots, a birthday gift from my husband, arrived just as the snow started to fall. I tested them out immediately and was very pleased with how cozy and warm my feet felt. The lining is incredibly soft and warm while the outside appears to be durable as well as stylish. At 30 temps my feet were toasty warm and wicked comfy. No need for woolies. The tread on the bottom seems like they will have good traction on snow and ice. I am confident that these boots will keep my feet warm and dry. I've had a hard time finding boots that meet all my expectations for warmth, comfort and style. These boots hit all the marks! The quality is superior, worth every cent.

I'm so excited that this is my first pair of LLBean boots! I have wanted them since I was a little girl. The shearling-lining and brown version reminded me of my childhood wish. I couldn't be happier! They are cosy, beautiful and are built for endurance. I highly recommend them. Thank you, LLBean!

I purchased these boots last year and wore them whenever we had snow or slush. My feet stayed dry and warm with light to medium weight socks. They show no signs of wear yet and I expect they will last for many years. I was able to fit orthotics in them which was a big help as I have very flat feet! They are nicely made.

As soon as I put these on they felt like they were hugging my foot. They are incredibly comfortable, and extremely well made. Very happy with my purchase. *I wear a 7.5 wide, I ordered a 7, with inserts and they fit like a glove with regular socks.

I ordered these and the Bar Harbor boot. I'm afraid the latter weren't even in the same league and will be going back. The shearling boots are incredibly soft and comfortable on first wear and look better than the classic unlined version too. They are clearly well-made, high quality and represent true value for the price. Shearling is worth the extra money in my view, especially if you plan on wearing these for years. Sizing: I normally wear a 6.5 -7.0 and ordered the 6 medium as half-sizes were recommended to size down. Quite roomy with thin socks but fit well with a medium-weight wool sock, and also with the LLBean camp socks. I tried the sheepskin liner at the store wearing the same medium-weight sock and the boot felt too tight all around.. Liner would work wearing very thin socks. If you favor wearing heavier socks and the liner, go for size 7.

Wow! I bought this pair and a 6" unlined pair for warmer, wet weather. Right out of the box, these are amazing. The leather is buttery soft but thick and has a hearty feel to it. The stitching is exact and the fleece is luxurious. My feet are very sensitive, so I was worried about the seam at the ankle and the insole, but I don't feel any irregularities or anything rubbing on my foot. In fact, they feel wonderful on my feet. There was plenty of lace to go up to the top, and I could even stuff pantlegs in the top if I needed to. The uppers are so flexible that I can wear them however I feel like... laced up all the way or not. I am tremendously pleased with these and the craftsmanship transcends the boots from Germany that I had been wearing the past winters.

I love these boots! I have owned the original Bean Boots, the unlined version, and these are so much better. First, the 8" height is perfect - it's tall enough to keep you warm but short enough to get in and out of easily. The tumbled leather on this boot is fantastic. It's is noticeably softer and more comfortable than the original version. The shearling lining is also very comfortable and cozy. The bottom of the boot is not lined with shearling, but it is lined with thinsulate and the insole is removable, presumably so it can be dried or replaced as needed. As for sizing, I can't imagine that anyone would need to size up in these boots. I wear a size 7M almost all the time, but sometimes need a 7.5 in boots. I ordered the 7. They're a little too big with a thin sock or no sock. With a mid-weight sock they fit comfortably with a little room. I also tried putting on a spa sock (the thick fuzzy ones) over a mid weight sock and the boot still fit, but it was a little tight. I would recommend ordering your regular size or a half size down for whatever sock you plan to wear.

I am moving to Detroit from San Francisco, and preparing for my first Midwestern Winter. Since Bean Boots are always back-ordered come winter, I decided to do my shopping off season. After carefully reading all of the helpful reviews, I ordered both the 8" Tumbled Leather Shearling-Lined Boot and the 10" Shearling-Lined Boot to try on. For reference, I normally wear a size 6, and ordered both boots in size 6. A few quick observations. Both models appear identical in size, and both were quite roomy on me even with a thick hiking sock. If the boot were offered in a size 5, I'm sure that would fit me better. What others have mentioned about the tongue being not continuous with the rest of the boot, is partially true: the tongue it is connected, but only until the second eyelet. So, while I have not yet tested them in inclement weather, it appears rain and/or snow could definitely get into the boot. Comfort: the tumbled leather on the 8" is way softer than the regular leather on the 10". They were comfortable right out of the box, and easily conformed to my feet/ankles, and felt so nice I was reluctant to take them off! I'm sure the 10" would break in eventually, though. Finally, the laces on the 10" boot are very short, as others reported. I had to skip the final set of eyes, and even then could barely tie a bow. I assume that with time, the leather would soften and fit more closely, and then the laces would be the right length. The laces on the 8" were fine. As far as the shearling goes, the shearling lines ONLY the leather partsthe shaft and tongue. The rubber foot part is lined with a thin quilted insulated layereven the footbed, which is covered by a removable foam insole. Ultimately, I decided to return both and go with the 12" Bar Harbor boot which appears better insulated and more waterproof.

I have worn all kinds of LL Bean boots over the last 40 years and these are by far the most comfortable ones I have ever had. The leather is incredibly soft and I love the shearling lining. I highly recommend these boots.

I've wanted these boots for years but always waited until they were way backordered to try to buy. This year I ordered them regardless of the backorder date and recieved them much sooner than expected! These are the best shoes I have ever owned. They are very warm (I purchased the furry inserts which are AMAZING), super cute, and very comfortable. I wear these boots every day, every where. They are waterproof and durable; definitely recommend these boots!

These boots are replacing a pair of Bean boots from 20 years ago! When I put these boots on for the first time my immediate reaction was that they were going back because they were way to big! My shoe size is 6 women's and 6 is the smallest size Bean's offer. But.. I took my shearling liners out of another pair of bean boots & used them in my new boots & it was amazing. Very comfortable & they fit great with a medium weight sock.

This is my fourth pair of Bean Boots (second pair of sheepskin lined) and these seem to be the best of all. I keep one pair in my car for unexpected rain, one pair at the ranch for bathing my horse, one pair in my closet for rainy days, and one pair at my doorstep to go out in wet weather to get the mail or newspaper. I love all my Bean Boots because they fit well, are comfortable, keep my feet dry, offer excellent arch support, and are so cute. I get compliments all the time and I'm sure I should get a commission on the boots I've recommended!! The leather on this pair is very soft and the sheepskin lining is warm and cozy. I have a short wide foot with a high arch and instep, and followed the fitting advice to get a 7W. The fit is perfect with medium/light weight socks. I expect these boots to last for years, just as the previous ones have done. Expensive, but worth every penny!!
