While the color is wonderful and the fabric great, I was very disappointed to see that the plaid did not match in the side seams. That is usually the sign of a quality item.

Ordered Apple Cinnamon. Nice colors, soft and thick fabric. Sized much larger in the chest and waist than other size large LLBean shirts. Hoped it would shrink to fit but doesn't shrink at all, which normally is good. Will have to try and alter for a normal fit.

This shirt as a somewhat rough look.
Warm and a little on the larger side, so you may take the smaller size you usually take.

Great shirt, feels wonderful, though pretty thick.
Chamois shirts are cut to a larger size than the traditional sizing used by LL Bean. I am 6'1", chest 39, and normally a "Medium Tall" fits me perfectly. In this shirt, the Medium Tall was larger around the chest, and the sleeves were too long; I returned it and got a "Medium Regular", sleeves now fine, but still larger around the chest than I really need. Seems silly that someone of my size would order a "Small-Tall"!

I love my chamois shirt as it is very warm, in fact I only take it off to wash it. Because I wear it so much the sleeves are slightly Bally.

I bought this shirt thinking it would be worn as a casual dress shirt but it is definitely meant to be worn as an outer layer. I am 6'2" and 190lbs and the medium tall, traditional fit, is quite large. The construction is impeccable and it does look tremendous.

i have a 35" sleeve length so I needed a tall size. The sleeves are great but it's really long in the body. Practically down to my knees. But, I'm going to keep it as its all cotton and will most likely shrink a bit.

Great shirt. Much more substantial that regular flannel. Don't like the tags as they poke me in the neck. My wife removes them, though. Have to have a medium tall, and for some reason it costs more. Don't know how the MT costs more than an XXL. Anyway, like the shirt a lot.

I bought two of these, at the end of a warm winter. Not sure why I bought such warm shirts when it wasn't cold enough to really take advantage. But, I did because LLB flannels are always great and I wanted them. The reviews are correct; these run LARGE. I have a large size Scottish Plaid from LLB which fits well, but had to go medium with these. Even at medium, they are long. Probably for people that wear them as an outer shirt jacket. The only problem with having to go down a size is that the neck is just a touch tighter than it should be. But, I can see these 2 shirts being in my closet for MANY years to come and appreciated.

This chamois shirt arrived and felt soft right out of the package. Nice clean look, but very roomy. I laid in over a previous L chamois shirt from LL Bean and it was actually quite a bit wider with longer sleeves(even allowing for shrinkage.) I ran it through a wash/dry cycle and it kind of looked pilled (unlike my last chamois shirt.) I attribute it to manufacture in a different place at a different time (El Salvador vs Mexico with the previous shirt.) Anyway, I have worn it and find it very comfortable (but difficult to tuck in.) I'm thinking I should have bought a medium.

This shirt is a great shirt, but it appears to run a little big. I am not too worried because I am guessing it will shrink after a few washes.

Very nice shirt, but didn't work for me -- over-generous cut, and heaviest chamois I have ever encountered.

This shirt, along with another I ordered from LL Bean is the most comfy shirt I wear in the Winter. I hate when I have to wash it because I only have two. I recommend this shirt for every man. LLBean is a great company and when I talk with their representatives on the phone they are so very, very courteous. Their deliveries also are on time.

This is a great shirt, well made, good fabric, just too long for my 5'4" husband.

I really like my Bean chamois shirts, but the sizing is starting to put me off. I bought two in the last year, both size large. First one I ended up getting tailored ($) to make it fit; second one I sent back for a medium which fits perfectly. I am six feet tall, 190 lbs., 44" chest, and am always a size large . Maybe Bean is trying to make me feel good by moving my size to medium.

Good shirt, material does change after wash both size and feeling but it's still nice.
I am 6'1" 205 broad shoulders and in the store the medium regular fit perfectly. Then I washed and dried it and it shrank everywhere but not enough so it didn't fit, except for the arms, they came out way too short. I am going to exchange for a large reg.

My dad loves these chamois shirts and I have purchased all the solid colors for him. Last year I tried the plaid but he said it was cut differently, the arms were really long. He didn't wear it. Fast forward to this year and I asked for it back from him and I returned it to LLBean for a new solid one and they were so friendly and honorable. I love this company! My dad will have a new chamois shirt that he will wear this year and I am happy that I didn't need to pay for it.

All of the LL Bean Chamois shirts are of good quality. However, I have found that the plaid series for some reason has a truer sleeve length. My sleeve length is 38" and the plain colors are about 1" to 1-1/2" too short (even when ordering XXL Tall when XLT Tall would fit me). The plaid is not perfect...I would like to see the sleeve length about 3/4" longer, but will make do with what I have. It is too bad that the focus is on the overweight and not on the extra tall.

Nice heavy flannel. I love the plaid combination of gray and green. However, this "shirt" is heavier and roomier than I expected. I gave this as a gift to my husband, and he has been wearing it as a jacket.

This is great--warm, great colors, nice weight. It runs a bit larger than other shirts we've bought from LL Bean, but that's the only slightly complaint my husband had about it.

this shirt is heavier than it looks - more like a flannel jacket, but the colors are nice.

I usually find a good fit when ordering a medium size in shirts from LLBEAN.
For the 2 shirts, I ordered, the sleeves were too long at least by 2 inches. I can make-do by buttoning the tightest sleeve fit. But, I will likely have to get a tailor to shorten the sleeve length. I don't see why sizes can't be consistent from year to year.

Very nice shirt, very thick, very soft, and very warm! Also, very large. Well-made. This is my first LL Bean Chamois shirt, though I own some LL Bean flannels. I had ordered the flannels in Reg-Large, and after several washings was a bit on the tight side. So I ordered this shirt in Reg-XL. It was very big and I considered returning it...but washed it instead. It did shrink a fair amount and it is a pretty good fit. The middle is still very generous, but the sleeves/shoulders/chest fit much better now.
You'd probably due best just ordering your regular size.

This is a dang nice shirt. I like everything about it except for its generous fit. I wished it came slim or at least more tailored.
