This is our 3rd bed from llbean. They have all been excellent. We bought this one because our 2 dogs like sleeping together, so rather than have 2 beds in our bedroom, we bought one large one for them to share.

I just received my therapeutic dog bed and as another reviewer had said, it is just like adding a piece of furniture into your living room. With that said, I absolutely love it! I have a 6-year-old, 60lb English bulldog who is very spoiled and this bed is for him. You can easily fit three Bulldogs on this bed... but he can now fully stretch out and roll over and not even touch the sides of the bed. It came with intimidating directions, but I was able to put it together in about 15 minutes. You do have to put the pillows inside these rather small openings but as long as you take your time, it becomes super easy. The actual mattress itself is really sturdy and well, therapeutic! It has the memory foam in it with an egg crate like top so when the dog goes on the bed it'll push down, but not to the point where they touch the ground. There's at least four inches of memory foam padding in the mattress. This bed is going to do wonders for my dog's arthritis. I don't know why I did not buy this bed for him sooner. Thanks LL Bean for also thinking about the comfort of my dog!

I bought this bed (size large-ortho mattress) for our three beagles. They all curl up together in the bed...a sweet sight for beagle lovers! Best of all, the bed is heavy enough to prevent the youngest and most mischievous Beagle from dragging the bed around the house or flipping it upside down. Also, very sturdy fabric cover. Worth the price...especially if bought on sale!

We have 3 of these beds and they are the "bed of choice" by both the dog and cat. Have washed the cover and the beds with fiberfill many times and have held up wonderfully.

My dog seems to be quite satisfied with this bed. Have two dogs but one uses it more than the other since I placed in a spot where his favorite chair had been. It is also easier for him to get in and out of than the chair. Both do especially like the roll feature on the sides.The quality of the inner foam mattress is very good and worth the price. Good instructions accompany the product--assembly takes a little time.

I just turned 11 years old so mom & dad thought I was overdue for this bed. I sleep like a baby and love to curl up and take advantage of the side cushions. Mom says I snore sometimes. I guess that is because the bed makes my hips feel better and I am getting a better nights sleep. I think it is even better than mom and dads bed, and now I don't have to jump up there and bother my hips and legs. I watched mom assemble this, and it was slightly tricky at first, but she paid attention to the directions and with a little help from me it was done in no time. I think every dog should have this bed.

I have a 90lb Pitbull who is 12 years old. His joints have been getting really bad this year so we wanted him to have the best bed we could find to rest on. We found it! Assembly was easy, the mattress fluffed up within 6 hours and he loves it! The cat and I even join him on it sometimes! The large is very big and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the mattress. Thank you LL Bean for giving my old guy a great resting place!

This dog couch is amazing, the highest of quality and I can't imagine it wearing out! I wish everything I purchase these days was of this quality....great job LLBean!!

This is our second bed for our labradoodle. She loved the first couch in our living room so much that it became one of her favorite spots in the house. She had an extra large Kong bed to sleep on previously and we found her sleeping on the couch instead. Now she has a new couch upstairs where she prefers to be and loves to lounge in it while I work from home.

Quite nice arriving in a timely manner and well received by K9 friends here. Even more so than the owners bed! They seem to like the bolster sides and just flop down and rest as opposed to other beds that they continued to scratch in as if to make more comfortable. Seems like immediate rest when they jump in. Thank you for selling them! They are sold on them!

The bed is unbelievably comfortable! Excellent quality and I don't mind telling you that I did lay in it when I first got it! Now my drooling Bulldogs have taken over it!

Needed a larger than normal large for our greyhound. This bed is just the ticket. Well made and looks comfy enough for me. A little changeling to put together, but WELL WORTH IT!! I have LL Bean dog beds that are 25 years old and still looking great.

Very happy to have purchased the LL Bean Dog Couch. Its therapeutic, dense foam supports our active Doberman Pinscher, and the bolster provides added comfort. We finally have a bed that fits our guy, definitely FIVE STARS!

High quality in every way except assembly instructions. Higher IQ necessary. Foam bed pad could be thicker for the price charged.

We got this out of the box on Christmas morning and our bulldog Henry seemed to know immediately that it was for him. As soon as we got it put together (which took a little time and muscle - definitely read the directions) he lay on it and snuggled right in! He weighs about 85 pounds, and he fits perfectly inside the bolster around the edges. He loves to lie down and perch his head on the bolster so he can snooze but still grab a peek at what's going on. The bed itself is firm enough that it isn't collapsing under his weight. We're pretty sure it was "made for him!"

My wife and I have 3 dogs and two of these beds for our larger dogs. One who is an aggressive chewer and one who is elderly. The construction of this bed is solid and very comfortable. The dogs love it, well worth the price, and the canvas type material is soft, strong and durable. You can even buy additional covers for a quick change-out and wash while cleaning the cover, which is very straight forward. Big, boisterous, and comfy per the dogs recommendation (if they could talk).

Even though our 75 lb Lab usually chooses to sleep on the floor, he hopped onto this bed as soon as it was assembled and seems to love it. The large size is perfect for him as he does like to stretch out (I did find it helpful to measure his length to help with the decision). Although some reviews have suggested the bed is hard to put together, it was much easier than I expected. It took less than an hour for the memory foam to naturally unfold after being unwrapped, and though there is some friction in getting the foam into the cover, some gentle shaking to get it settled after placement worked great and everything zipped into place without difficulty. One reviewer mentioned creating a slipcover for the foam which I think is a great idea, but not necessary.

I got this for my Pointer as he is getting up in age. He works for hard for me in the field and I felt like he deserved a nice comfy bed. Quality construction as to be expected from LL Bean. He runs straight for it when he comes inside !

My 87 lb. Bernese Mt. Dog seems to love this bed. Took her a few days to figure out most comfortable position but the Large fits her well even if she can't stretch to her full length. Needed something to fit in the back of my Subaru Outback for a long road trip and this bed works perfectly.

Archie, the golden retreiver, had outgrown his puppy bed. After much internet searching and exhausting the reviews, I choose the LLBean therapeutic dog couch (L). Large is oversized for Archie (65lbs) but he has plenty of room to stretch and practice his yoga. Let's just say that Archie sleeps a lot these days ... and when he can't be found, he is often lounging on his therapeutic dog couch watching his Mom. Great product!

After purchasing an Orvis bed and this one, the pups chose this one. Although it's a little too small for our 75 and 55 pounders together, they seem to agree to take turns. Cover is easily removable and washed. Typical good quality from LLB. Our pups thank you!

I bought the extra large bed for my Bernese/Mastiff cross when he started having knee and hip problems. The bed is extremely comfy, good height and a great size for him (120lbs). The cover did rip in an odd location not caused by dog - but I contacted LL Bean and they sent me a replacement cover. Great bed and customer service.

Purchased the XL bed for our Great Pyrenees. He's 18 months and 115lbs. When standing he's as tall as I am, 5'8''. So he needed a big bed. I have taken naps on his bed and loved it (he sleeps on our bed and couch ALL the time, it was only fair). For the price, it's worth it, I just hope it stands the test of time. We've only been using this for about a month now, but it sure is nice! He has even gone as far as to sleep with his toys, incase he needs them or something.

Large is just the right size for our older basset hound to stretch out. she has urinary issues-- waterproof, easily cleaned, very comfortable for her. stays structured with high bolsters around 3 sides. our younger basset always tries to take it.

This is our second LL Bean dog bed. And we couldn't be any happier. The removable cover is durable and great for periodic washing. We found the non-theraputic option a little too squishy/not supportive enough for our big guy. There was a little confusion during the purchase process. We originally purchased the XL bed (designed for dogs 90 pds or more) for our 100 pd hound dog. We were startled to find that it was huge (looked like a twin bed). In hindsight, we should have read the actual dimensions more carefully. We exchanged for the L size (looks to be half the size of the XL) and its a much better fit for our dog and space.
