We own this dog bed for our dog, we love it so much we bought one for each of our daughters dogs and they love it! Would highly recommend this dog bed for your dog. Our grandchildren also love to sit in it!

Fantastic dog bed! My older springer spaniel has some arthritis and was using his old bed. I can't get him out of his new bed now!! He can stretch or put his head up on the bolsters. He loves it!!!! Some reviews I read criticized the assembly process but I found if you read the directions and FOLLOW THEM, it's not a problem. My husband had no problem putting it together. The "mattress" is memory foam". Don't hesitate to buy this bed for your dog!!!!! He/she will LOVE it!!!

We have two 56 pound female boxers who have tried to snuggle up together in the past on one dog bed despite the fact that it was made for one dog. We ordered the large therapeutic dog bed couch. They love it. Plenty of room for both (and they could invite a friend!). The material is sturdy and worthy of a big dog. The bolsters are firm and do not flatten out or flop when they lie on them. The bed is easy to wipe spots away and keep free of pet hair. It is very supportive and comforting to them also. The cover can be removed and laundered in a regular washing machine without any bolsters or base to deal with. You then have to reassemble it like when it first arrives. We are very pleased with this purchase.

We bought this bed for our 11 year old boxer who sleeps in his dog bed every night. It's been great for his joints. I can definitely tell a difference when he's getting in and out of it, it's much easier on his bones. He loves to prop his head up on the sides. Money well spent.

This was a great purchase. My golden retriever Hazel took to it right away. She loves to rest her head on the pillowed sides and best of all it stays cool due to the bumpy foam filling. It's hard to get her out of it in the morning!

Six year old medium GoldenDoodle who was restless at night found heaven on the therapeutic couch. He had slept well on a regular Bean bed for years but recently would get up and stretch, shake and walk around before going back to sleep. Now he sleeps through the night in doggie heaven. Great product.

I have a two year old Yellow Labrador Retriever and purchased a bed that was chew proof, elsewhere. Needless to say, my 120 pound dog shredded it. This bed has a fabric that is much more sturdy, and the cover unzips and you can actually wash it, where it appears new again. The mattress is very sturdy and my dog, CJ, loves this bed. He sleeps in it every night and he looks so cozy. I dropped him off with his bed at a friend's house during our vacation away, and her dog loved it. I bought a second one and left it there for when CJ visits. This is the best dog bed on the market for the $ and you will have it the lifetime of your dog, and it will stay clean and look new, because you can wash it. 10 stars out of 10! I would highly recommend this bed frankly for any dog, especially an elderly dog with arthritis. Thank you LL Bean for keeping CJ very happy! After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit wary of trying to assemble this, but I followed the instructions step by step, (and as you can see, I had excellent supervision, encouragement & assistance the whole time!!), and found the process to be fairly easy and quick. The fabric is a bit stiffer than what Frida is used to, but after a few sniffs and turns around and about, she settled in quickly and has seemed quite content and comfortable ever since. I have a feeling that after a couple of washings, the fabric will soften up nicely. She weighs 56 lbs. and the Medium size is just right, whether she curls up in a corner with her head on one of the side bolsters, or stretches out.

My Lakeland terrier loves this bed! We debated about getting a small or a medium, because although Trixie weighs only 15 lbs., she has long legs. We went with the small, and it's perfect. She can sleep sprawled out with her head propped up on a bolster, curled up in a corner or completely flat. She was never willing to sleep on a dog bed before this (preferring to rip them to shreds) but immediately took to this one. I think that's a testament to how comfortable it is!

You get what you pay for. This is a little pricey but the two terriers love it. It is their "go-to" place to sleep (and they previously slept wherever they wanted all over the house) It is very well-made and is retaining its shape as if it was new. The removable cover is a great idea so we can keep the "doggy smell" to a minimum.. We had a cheaper one which didn't last very long and this appears that it will be good, maybe, forever(?). I can't speak personally about the therapeutics of the bed but the dogs are using it, so it must be comfortable for them and that's what counts for me.

I recently purchased the therapeutic couch for my 7 year old golden retriever and he loves it! He is 85# but likes to curl up in this couch and put his head on the bolster, so a medium is just right. I have had two of the regular LLBean dog couches also and they are perfect for younger dogs. It's simiple to put together if you just follow the instructions to assemble. I remove the bolsters and wash the couch about 10X per year and it holds up well with no sign of wear or tear! They last, and my dog is comfortable and in good health because of it, so it is definitely worth the money. Once I tried another brand of dog bed but was not satisfied and it did not last. My dog and I highly recommend the LLBean dog sofas! Even my grandkids like to curl up in it when it is not being used by the dog :).

The medium is a great fit for my Corgi/Bassett Hound boy. He loves it. I've bought other beds from Bean with the same type of covering. It washes great and only gets better with age.

This is Crosby's second LL Bean therapeutic bed. His first bed is 3 years old and is in the bedroom. He sleeps in the living room too and was complaining that the bed he had there that was purchased at a big box pet store was really uncomfortable; he was tossing and turning more than sleeping. So being such a good Basset Hound Santa decided to get him another LL Bean bed and he couldn't be happier! Yes, Christmas came early for Crosby! Crosby is an 80 lb European Basset Hound and loves these beds. Of course you have the typical LL Bean quality, you just can't find a better bed!

Extremely well made. Plenty of room for my 95# Catahoula/Lab cross. He loves it. He used to sleep on my bed. He has not slept anywhere but on his new bed every night since we got it 3 weeks ago.

This dog couch is absolutely phenomenal. Our 95 pound Chesapeake Bay Retriever stretches out in this bed every night and whenever he can during the day. Even though we could have gone with the large, the extra large gives us room to snuggle with him, and for him to have sleepovers with his dog friends. The material is very durable (he scruffs up the bed every night and there has never been any damage to the bed)! He also loves the sides so he can rest his head on them like a pillow. This was more than worth the investment. Chessie & human approved :)

This bed is amazing. First of all the large is plenty big for my 100 lb. lab mix. He has plenty of room to stretch out and even some space to spare for the 50lb. labradoodle when he is feeling generous. The cover material is very thick and appears that it will last a long time. It's a little tricky to get all the pieces into the cover the first time but manageable. My suggestion: stuff the bottom pad in as quickly as you can immediately after unwrapping it from the compressed roll it ships in. Don't give it time to fully expand. Finally, this dog couch is incredibly soft and supportive. Great for my old boy's bones. And don't be surprised if you find me laying on the bed right beside him.

I bought this nearly a year ago. I read the review and ordered the medium rather than the large for my 80lb Curly-Coated Retriever. Had minimal difficulty getting the cover on. My dog loves it! He usually sleeps curled up, and likes to rest his head on the bolster. I chose the size by measuring a chair he likes to sleep in.

My both Peke's can fit on this bed! They Both love it and love putting their heads on the bolsters! IF I could give this a 1000 star rating I would! I know Maddi is ageing rapidly as she's now 15 1/2 yr. old. Now that I've had this she doesn't seem as lame after sleeping in it. They both sleep on it together and enjoy the beauty of a therapeutic bed. Madsy is 10 1/2 and he just boogies right out of it when he awakens. This is the perfect the both of them! I am amazed how much room there is on this! I had no issues w/the size! They The height off the ground is easy for their little legs to step right up on it and get cozy and go to sleep... I had no issues assembling it either. The cover washes well! I used a yard stick to assist me w/pushing in the foam into it. I did use Scotch Guard on it to keep it cleaner........so I only need to wash it when it's REAL dirty. They Both ENJOY nap time now! We already have one of the regular therapeutic dog beds, and have added the dog couch with wrap-around bolsters to fit into a spot next to our own bed with the bolsters cushioning against the bookcase beside the bed. This is a nice item, and while some people have reported troubles assembling it, I found I had the job done in about five minutes. However (warning!) I began as a mechanical engineering student and followed the included illustrated assembly directions without trouble. If you aren't handy you will want to delegate assembly to someone who is handy, and then both you and your dog will be happy. Size large is a perfect fit for our 52 pound Golden Retriever.

Great dog bed, lots of room and support for my boy. He's getting older so size, comfort and support are huge to me for his continued health and well being. Another excellent purchase from LLBean! I literally have to call and call him to join me!

This size fits perfectly in large dog crate, which is very convenient. My dog loves it!

Re-assembly hints that work for me. We have had this model for years. Our rescue was hit by a car before he came to us. Demographics: Female, 62, retired. This takes me about 5 minutes of my day. Wash it with zippers closed. Re-assembly: Put the sides in first....bunch it all the way to far end - then extend it to Zip End. Helps to not have huge arms when you do this. You can get down those side channels. Main Cushion: Turn it over.....fold the cushion in half..stick it in like 3/4's of the way, unfold & push it the rest of way. I do one corner at a time. Hopes this helps you. We wash ours about once a month. Size large is plenty big enough for very Jumbo German Shepherd male.

This bed is awesome. We've had it for about 7 years, my dog is 8 and a half. She's 75lbs and long. We bought it to replace her crate/"kennel" which was an easy tranisition. She can easily stretch out or curl up in the corner, depending her mood. It's also easy to take apart to wash and put back together, thanks to the interior super hidden zippers to get the "bumpers" out and back in (if you're having too much trouble putting it together, you probably haven't found the interior zippers). The canvas does have a couple of very small holes in it from her scratching to make a comfy bed (which I'm okay with considering we've had it for so long and I mean dogs are destructive). 100% get this bed if you are even considering it. It's worth the money.

Charlie just loves her new bed and so do I. She seems so comfortable. It is well made, durable and looks great in our living room. It takes a little time getting it together but is well worth the effort.
