My Bassett Hound mix loves this new bed. She is almost 14, so has health issues, and cannot get up on the family couch without help. But she now is very happy on this foam bolster couch of her own. It is a little tricky to put together but easily worth it, I recommend it to anyone... not just for older dogs, but for any dog, because it is cozy, easy to clean, and very sturdy while still soft enough to be inviting.

We got the medium-sized couch for a 55-lb. chocolate lab and he fits perfectly. He still likes to get up on the human couch with us, but will sleep in this new one more often than his old doggy bed. Quality construction and material covering; time will tell on how well it wears. I read a few complaints, but instructions were not difficult to follow.

Our dog loves his new bed! There is plenty of room for him to stretch out! Our boy is about 65 pounds! Santa also brought a nice Sherpa blanket! Hopefully this will stop him from stealing ours! Thanks Santa,

This is a really well-made bed that stands up to a dog who likes to play and scratch his claws in the bed sometimes. He really seems to love it. The cover is made of thick canvas but it's comfortable.

Our 5 year old border collie has never been too fond of dog beds, but he has taken to this one like no other! He sleeps in it every night. In the past we would find him half stretched out onto the floor, half in his (other) bed. Now he stays in it, curled up and comfy. Fabric is a little noisy when he moves around, but is durable and keeps clean. Cushioning is top notch and will serve him well as he ages. Definitely worth the cost.

We have two great danes, and have gone through many dog beds. We have had the LLBean dog couch for years, but this is the first of the therapeutic model. This is a much nicer bed -- the memory foam is thick and firm, so it really feels like a human mattress. My dogs are SO HAPPY. I am going to see if I can get the memory foam insert for our older bed too so they both have a great bed.

We've had several LL Bean dog beds and this is the best. They love the "couch"; dogs like to sleep with their bodies against something or someone. We will have to get a second one as the puppy won't fit with the big dogs much longer. Our chocolate lab is 75 lbs and yellow lab mix is 50lbs and they fit on it together but it is snug. We have the large size.

My border collie cross suffers from badly constructed hips and hip displaysia and had stopped sleeping in my bedroom because the bed he had there was not comfortable for him anymore so he opted for the couch downstairs. Now that I have this LL Bean Theraputic Dog Couch he is back in the bedroom and sleeps through the night. He loves it and is not stiff upon rising anymore. He sleeps so soundly now that he has begun snoring! I give this bed a 10 on comfort. I hope it rates a 10 on long term wear as well. We'll see!

This bed...err "loveseat" is perfect and our 6 month old, 50 lb German Shepherd has taken to it immediately. Not having a bed before, he is overjoyed with a place to call his own. It was easier to assemble than many of the reviews indicated and took all of 15 minutes to complete. I washed the cover (gentle, cold, tumble low) prior as it had that new, "chemical" smell. No shrinkage and looks great. My only regret is that I chose the size of the bed using the weight of our adult dog (who is still a puppy) instead of using the bed dimensions. The Extra Large is ginormous. My 6'3" 225 lb son AND the dog fit comfortably as you can see!

The bed itself is greatmy friend has been buying these same beds for years. Howeverhere's the problem...he normally buys them at a LL Bean store, this time the store did not have the sizes/colors that he wanted. He asked me to order them online. I did. When he received them, he was NOT happy that there were lots of "parts"...it was not put together. The egg crate cushion was rolled up, there were pieces of foam for the sides, back, etc, there were canvas covers. If anyone has ever tried putting these parts together, you know what a pain it isespecially for someone with arthritic hands. Needless to say, he called me after opening the box and wanted me to send it all back. Thankfully after I visited the local LL Bean store and explained the problem, an employee who puts the beds together for the store, offered to assemble his beds. So, all is well. If you're not good at/able to put these together, don't order them online! Otherwise, great beds.

Have used LLBean dog beds for many years for many different pups. Added a retired racing Greyhound to our family in July. He loves the Therapeutic Couch so much that we just purchased a second one for him for upstairs as his night-time bed (he rejected the other brand we bought for him...no support). We highly recommend LLBean therapeutic dog beds! While the couches are a bit of a pain assemble with the bolsters, to save removing the cover to launder we put a waterproof mattress pad on, then cover with a fitted bedsheets...sizes depend on size of dog bed.

This is the second one we bought. The first one is 3 years old and still in amazing shape. That says a lot with two big boxers on it all day long. The dogs LOVE it!

Very comfortable for my dogs who have issues with arthritis. Very roomy and both can fit on the bed.

We got our first therapeutic dog couch a few years ago. Our older dog LOVED it. When we decided to add a second one in another room of the house, we did not hesitate to go back to this one. Our only disappointment was that the color of the first one (greenish) is no longer offered. But our now even-older dog still LOVES it!

I purchased this in an extra large size for my 90 lb Pit Bull and my 50lb Pit Bull with room to spare. I wanted something very comfortable being my one dog is very large and they tend to have issues later in life with the pressure put on their hips and legs. This is soooo comfortable they just love it. They especially like the bolsters to rest their heads on. When it arrived I had to try it out to see just how well my dog is going to feel. I wish my mattress felt half as good as this does. For those who have dogs that need that extra comfort because of medical conditions this is one you really must consider. I have not found anything that can compare with it. The fabric cover will hold up to wear for years and the hair doesn't cling to it like other beds. I throw a light blanket over it just because it's easier to wash the blanket in the washer rather then take the bed apart to wash the cover. This bed is more expensive then some others but my dog is worth it and it will last a long time. It's an investment into my dogs good health is how I look at it. I saw one person reviewed this and said his dog liked a cheaper bed. All I can say is his dog likes a harder bed like some people but if your looking for comfort for your dog he will love you with kisses when you buy this one for him (her).

My dogs love them. I have a large & medium for my British labs(65lbs). The large lets them stretch out & lay flat, the medium they use the sides for a pillow. Putting the cushion in the canvas is not that big of deal! took about 15 min to do it.

This dog couch/bed is perfect for our dog, Peach. She is 7 1/2 years old and we decided she would appreciate having a better bed as she approaches her "golden" years. She weighs 67 lbs. and likes to sleep curled up. She prefers to sleep with her head raised on a pillow, so this style was a no-brainer. We bought the Medium size. The other no-brainer was where to purchase a new bed - LLBean -based on their product quality,reputation and customer service. I had read all the reviews but was not discouraged by the assembly complaints. Took it with a grain of salt. So when it was delivered, I read the instructions twice and kept them close by. I was done in 15 minutes. FYI - I'm a 68 yr. old 125 lb. woman. My 68 yr. old husband timed me. Peach loves her new bed, as you can probably tell by the photo.

I, Eureka the Dog, so love my bed that Grandma now has one at her house for when I visit!!!

Our 70# 12-year-old dog spends a lot of time in his new bed. He especially loves the bolsters for resting his head or snuggling against. Assembly was not a problem, tho I had to refer back to the directions more than once. The fabric seems very easy care. Medium is plenty big for our guy.

We have three dogs--60 lbs., 38 lbs, and 32 lbs. The two larger dogs are older (10 and 14), so we bought the therapeutic couch. It's large enough for our 60-lb dog (who generally prefers the cool concrete floor) or for both of the smaller dogs to lie on together (which they often do). We have a couple of other dog beds around the house, but this is, by far, their favorite. I did not find it difficult to assemble--you just need to follow the instructions and have a little patience. We are very pleased with our new dog couch, especially since we got it on sale, but I would have no problem paying full price. It's worth it!

I am VERY satisfied with this dog bed purchase! The quality and sturdiness of the denin bed cover is excellent. Strong stitching and very durable cover material. The memory foam insert is VERY supportive and comfortable for dogs of all ages! I even fell asleep on the bed with my dog! I purchased the large size bed and 2 german shorthaired pointers fit easily.

Great dog bed. Expensive but materials are much higher quality.

A big win. Looks good in my newly remodeled home. Durable but attractive fabric (platinum denim). My senior poodle spends his days on this and loves it. Also, even though the preliminary info said there would be a delay in shipping for the platinum color, we received the sofa right away.

This is the second bed I have purchased for my 70 pound labrador. The first was a large and she had lots of extra room, so we went with a medium. This is her favorite bed and she has many dog beds on different floors of our house. Love that it has thick memory foam and she can curl up inside the bolsters.
